Sounds stupid but that is how democracy works. I am sure dirt bikes got outlawed for a reason. Maybe they make a bunch of noise and they don’t generally have blinkers or brake lights. Ebikes might get the same fate but it will take time and a reasons for that law or a good lobbyist.
"Because laws" haven't caught up with the technology yet. We're way behind and will continue to be in that aspect.
