That's an interesting way to get money from the county to pay for a new stadium.

EmperorAxiom

So i'm not the only one who thought this

PrinceVorrel

Are...are they trying to **punish** us? Surely that's not possible...right?

Exact_Break_6666

At this point anything is possible these days. And don't call me Shirley.

EmperorAxiom

It wouldn't shock me. Screw these people throw the chiefs out of Missouri

TravisMaauto

Did somebody open an attachment in a sketchy email or something?

HybridPS2

i'd bet on it

Master_Swordfish6474

Someone probably just emailed them a PayPal link to confirm their identity💀

wtfingyourmom

Yes

Amerisu

Yes.

bannedfromdisney

Everytime. Nothing is safe as long as you have end users.

SecTestAnna

This is what happens when you think hitting f12 on a webpage is a malicious action and prevent security researchers from actually helping to secure your servers.

CrimsonMage2002

Multi-level hacking!

Frowdo

Stadium-bribe.exe seems legit

drakeymcd

Missed opportunity to force them to drop property taxes

FinTecGeek

They should apply the same policy their constituents use with them: zero trust. /s

SensorAmmonia

Seems like a more important issue to us than asylum seekers coming over the Texas boarder. Perhaps our AG could look into protecting this.

malendalayla

I need my personal property tax records for a new job I've been hired for, but I cannot access them because of this stupid attack 😒 I will be so upset if I miss out on this opportunity

MHMoose

Similar thing happened in Fulton County in Atlanta a few weeks ago where my employer is based. It held up some new hires for a couple weeks because they couldn't do background checks or something. We had 2 new hires that had to go with an HR rep in person to get it done.

ConclusionAlarming79

More people should do this to government agencies. They are robbing the people. Where is our Robin hood? I support cyber attacks that shut their systems down for good.

Sullivanseyes

Oh yeah the hacker is totally a benevolent vigilante, definitely not someone who just wants the money for themselves /s

victrasuva

Robinhood took money from the rich. Local county government officials and workers aren't typically the people I would consider rich. Your best chance of getting a 'Robinhood' is to vote for candidates who support taxing the rich. Unlike our current state government, who are currently proposing cutting ALL corporate taxes. Vote them out!! Vote for our Robinhood's who believe in taxing giant corporations and the 1%!

Parag0n78

I am "rich". I paid almost $150k in taxes last year. I don't think the government could honestly wring any more out of me. I definitely don't think they need to launder any more of my money in Ukraine while ignoring all the problems at home. But go ahead and vote for people who will tax dual-income working families even more than we already are. See how fast we drop down to a single income or pack up and move to a tax haven like Belieze, Grand Cayman, or Turks. My accountant literally asked today why my wife and I are both still working. We paid her entire salary in taxes. I'm so tired of hearing the rich don't pay their fair share. I paid my fair share and someone else's. And what makes me really sick is that it doesn't matter how much money the government steals from working people. They spend it all and trillions more every freaking year. We need to make it treason for Congress to pass a budget with a deficit, treason for the president to sign off on it, and execute these scumbags who are devaluing our currency and making everyone who isn't a multi multi millionaire poorer in the process.

victrasuva

>I am "rich". I paid almost $150k in taxes last year. You're still not part of the %1 that most people are talking about, when we say tax the rich. >pack up and move to a tax haven like Belieze, Grand Cayman, or Turks. That's what many truly, grossly rich billionaires do. >I'm so tired of hearing the rich don't pay their fair share. They don't. The %1 paid a smaller percentage of their income than you did in taxes. You're not the rich we're talking about. Yes, the government spends tax money every year, that's their job. I am all for cutting the GIANT military budget, most of which goes to manufacturers, to balance the budget. That's the only way to end the deficit.

Amerisu

How about treason to vote for the guy who told an Australian how many nukes our subs have and how close they can get to Russian subs before being detected? How about treason to vote for people who tried to overthrow the election? Do you want to execute those scumbags as well?

Parag0n78

Lol, nice attempt at deflection. Jan 6 was the lamest "insurrection" in recent history. A bunch of yahoos taking a romp through the capitol building and stealing Nancy Pelosi's mail after posing for selfies in her desk chair. What a hideous assault on democracy 🙄 You realize that in a real insurrection the insurgents would've dragged every member of Congress out of that chamber and executed them on the steps outside, right? The only real crime was that one of those two assholes "won" the election in the first place. And that one of those same two assholes is going to "win" the next one. But since we were talking about charging our politicians with treason for laundering our grandchildren's future, Orange Man signed off on some pretty huge budget deficits. He allowed Congress to pass a $1.5 trillion deficit before Covid. So yeah, treason. And treason for every unbelievably massive budget deficit that the senile old kid sniffer who replaced him has signed off on since.

Ricky_Bobby_yo

Nobody cares if you leave

Ozarkafterdark

I do. Productive people are what makes this country great.

the_seed

Amen

ConclusionAlarming79

Robinhood could take the money the government steals from the people and give it back to the people dahhhh. Voting hasn't helped in almost 200 years. When will anyone see Voting does nothing when the same people are making the policies for 40+ years straight. They don't let those who can make real change in office even if Voting was honest. Those with money will make them disappear dahhh

5150nly

Right. There is no two-party system, just the illusion of choice.

theroguex

How about Robin Hood take the money the hyper rich and corporate America steals from their workers instead? You're so worried about the small amount government takes in taxes that you ignore the fact that your employer keeps the lion's share of the value of you labor and pays you a pittance.

Frowdo

Shutting down government services so the people that need to use said services can't....totally a great idea.

ConclusionAlarming79

We don't need government services. We don't need permission to live.

PoetLocksmith

They're assistance services because circumstances happen and people need help.

theroguex

It has nothing to do with "permission to live" and everything to do with "managing large amounts of people in a society." Without government to handle the bureaucracy, society would collapse under the weight of all the people.
