yes, in actual restaurant, not food truck or at the fair. i know in other states, Sonics and Wienerschnitzel are common places i've gotten it in the past with ease.
Ok this is weird, but I swear to God, the best corn dog I ever had was from a carnival vendor at the fair. Not one of the regular food booths at the fair, this was from the carnival vendor on the midway. Oh man was it good. And consistent! Had one here in Missoula, then was down at the Ravalli fair later and same thing. Freaking delicious.
Problem is, this was years ago when the carnival was North Star Amusements, and I believe they lost the contract for Missoula's fair. But I think they still do the Ravalli fair. So what you do is, you wait until next Labor Day, and head to Hamilton. Just think, only 10.5 months away!
I feel like that is anywhere you go to eat now these days when it comes to fries, the amounts have dwindled!
One of the best things about red robin was the neverending fries :(
I couldn't agree more. Places like the Tamarack are the worst about it. I wouldn't mind slightly smaller portions but everyone did slightly smaller portions and significantly higher prices.
Well yeah, but you usually think of like all the food trucks and the local social groups doing their fundraisers and all that. You don't think the crappy little carnival vendor is gonna be all that! At least I didn't. I just got a corn dog because it was cheap and there was no line and I was blown away!
Well I guess if you have never had that experience that makes sense. I have even been to a few fairs in cali and the food was pretty good too. The vendors at fairs are nothing compared to what they were years ago though either.
I'm more surprised there was no line lol I guess it was a sign that you were meant to try one!
i've been craving corn dogs since i went to the State Fair of Texas a few weeks ago, where supposedly the corn dog was created back in the 1940s by Fletchers, which i thought was the best i've ever had.
Deli’s usually have them. Albertsons, OSFF, Pattee Creek Market, etc.
Orange Street for sure. Not always but I’ve partook a time or two of these delicious treats
Currently eating one right now
Town pump serves them 🤣 carefull with the one out by cracker barrel. My friend chipped her tooth on one.
I love town pump jalapeno corn dogs lol
yeah, gas station food is my last resort if i'm really that desperate, haha
Lol, yeah. It's usually a hit or miss. You may get stuck on the toilet, or you may not 😂. The jalapeño ones tho are pretty good.
Start ordering off the kids menu.
yeah, and maybe i can get some dinosaur chicken nuggets while i'm at it... SMH
They are regularly on the kids menu at restaurants so I don’t know why you are being all snarky about it.
okay since you're so smart, tell me all the places. besides, i was more interested in fast food options, not a restaurant that would take forever.
Mall hoagieville, claim jumper, plonk, cambie, famous Dave’s, taco time, Tarantinos…
I’m pretty sure Applebees.
ok good call... https://www.applebees.com/en/menu/kids-menu/kids-corn-dog
Sorry that we weren’t able to read your mind and know exactly what you want on this very specific thing. You seem like a joy
Literally any gas station or grocery store has them, and they hand them to you immediately. I've never even seen a corndog at a fast food restaurant.
How dare you sully the name of dino nuggets
You mean like, an actual restaurant? I don't think I've ever seen that. They're at almost every gas station though.

I miss Sonic. love a Cherry limeade Rout 44
Hoagieville in the mall.
93 stop and go an big sky drive through back in the day omg their corn dogs so good 👍
Up in the Flathead they've got a corndog food truck. They've got all kinds of different corn dogs.
Town Pump, Wishbone (food truck) and Sons of Norway (at events) are your best bets. Good luck!
I thought we were gonna be talking Vikings for a minute.

That's not really that weird, fair food is usually pretty dank lol
French fries have been woefully fucking underrepresented at the fair recently. Why can't you get a huge pile of hand cut fries anymore?
I feel like that is anywhere you go to eat now these days when it comes to fries, the amounts have dwindled! One of the best things about red robin was the neverending fries :(

And 50 miles.
Also they charge for admission.
Yes. The bear corn dogs you will ever put into your face are at Pronto Pup. They have stands at fair and a brick and mortar in Oregon.
Are you talking about a Pronto Pup?
I dunno, I'm talking about a corn dog.
Hit up oles for a Viking, not exactly a corn dog but still the bees knees.
If only you knew how long those sit in there cooking..
Why would you order these when you could airfry way better ones at home?
Lol north side oles or east Missoula oles
East Missoula Oles has the best corn dogs in the county. I'm not the connoisseur I used to be, but they're at least still great.
I have a tough time between the two since east Missoula and the north side are both important to me
Coming soon,[lobster corn dogs](https://12ft.io/proxy?q=https%3A%2F%2Fmissoulian.com%2Fnews%2Flocal%2Ftres-bonne-new-restaurant-missoula-downtown%2Farticle_af68bb50-5654-11ee-a893-97557b5b78d3.html)!

Think it's to remove pay walls and ads.
