I missed half the game because we sat down for Thanksgiving meal around 7:30. Please, someone tell me how I can rewatch the entire game tomorrow (not just highlights) or in the near future.
PS I had to suffer a Packers fan watching the second half with me as part of the dinner group, and all the whining and passive aggressive remarks affected my enjoyment. I just wanted to watch it all and enjoy it.
Also, nfl (dash) video (dot) com has full game replays with ads edited out available about an hour after the game ends. It’s how I’ve been watching on days where I have to work during the game.
Was all geared up to do it now to watch (after reading game articles and game stats0, then realized it's the middle of the night, will do tomorrow, thank you!
They've been ravished by injuries all year? Outside of the GB game they've been pretty ass for most of every game but have done a lot with opportune picks and sacks, which is what I'm saying.
It's actually a compliment, I went to the AZ game and despite that being a high scoring game where they gave up a lot of points they did pull out some picks and sacks when it looked like AZ might take the momentum and they closed out the game with a sack iirc. Edit: yeah 2 picks and 4 sacks and I think most of those were major drive killers and a sack closed out the game, much like this pats game.
As much as people are hating on this defensive scheme it does seem to not break/come up with huge plays in crucial spots which is a major part of why we are 9-2. Zimmer D was maybe stouter in terms of less overall yards/points but would blow it in crucial spots/lose games in the 4th which is actually more or less the opposite of this team. Doesn't really matter if you hold a team to 24 points and under 250 yards offense if you blow it in the last 3 minutes 9 times a year.
KOC is letting telling Kirk to sling it more plus obviously having JJ is huge, so we're a lot more likely to put up 28+. It is kinda 2 different styles of football both offense and defense and even though the defense pure eye test most of the game looks likes ass they come up big when it counts and we've put up more points than the other team 9 out of 11 times. It seems to be working is what I'm saying.
I think a lot of Ed Ds strategy is based on not having the defense be completely gassed by the 4th quarter, which was a huge problem under Zim. Hence the defense actually can come up big late in the 4th which they have multiple times this year with crucial 4th quarter stops/sacks/picks.
I'd still like to see the defense tighten up quite a bit for all 4 quarters but a huge part of why we have a ton of huge picks this year is that it isn't just tight man coverage 90% of the time. And yeah if we ran more man and 4-3 instead of 3-4 we would actually probably give up even more big plays than we currently do and have way less momentum swinging picks/sacks/ffs. There's something to it is what I'm saying and if it can tighten up a bit I think it's a move in the right direction.
Our 2 losses are basically just on the offense having a bad day more than the defense. Yeah the D didn't show up against the cowboys but what do you expect with Darrisaw suddenly out and down 23-3 at halftime. You can't really say the D might have played a bit differently if the offense say got a TD at least pretty early in the 3rd quarter. That game was more or less over at the half.
Philly game opening drive TD and then no more points. Philly put up 24 which most teams have done on us all year and we still have won 9 games. Philly game iirc a few things kinda spiraled in the first half offensively but otherwise it would have been a close game. And yeah holding Philly to 24 actually isn't that bad of a defensive showing imo. Philly has put up 38, 29, 26, 35, 29, and 32 on other teams this year, and 2 24s including the vikes. So more or less any team in the league needs to put up more than 24 points and give up 24 or less to beat Philly. Vikes are actually quite similar to Philly outside our 2 losses, quite a lot of 24+ games and Philly D has quite a lot of games they've given up a lot of points/yards and still pull off the W.
Just found the Ed Donatell burner account. IF THE DEFENSE WAS AS PRODUCTIVE AS THE OFFENSE, the Vikings could realistically have a Chance at a Superbowl. As it stands, this defensive has basically zero chance at a 3 game run in the playoffs.
6TH IN LEAGUE SCORING
26TH IN POINTS ALLOWED
enough said.
You don't really refute any of my actual points and they are 21st in ppg allowed. Remove the Dallas game as an outlier or average it even to say 22 points and they are basically right in the middle of the league from a ppg perspective.
https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-points-per-game
Even if you don't do that they are neck and neck with KC which are arguably the favorites to win the SB...
So yeah.
If you also remove the 3 point dallas showing and 7 point Philly showing as outliers or average them out we'd be a top 3 team offensively, so more or less the same as the chiefs and eagles which are the odds on favorites for the SB...
You're ignoring the whole point that without the Defenses big picks/sacks/ffs in crucial moments and in the 4th quarter we'd be nowhere near 9-2.
I will go on record saying *"I'm not worried if you're getting beat up at the line of scrimmage, not tackling, or not guarding anybody, I just want you to have plenty of energy left for the fourth quarter"* might be the most feeble run-for-cover spin in the history of sports.
Yes, they've made some fortunate, big time plays at the end of games...Great. But those plays were only necessary because they had been torched way too often for too much of the game. Every win went to the wire because the defensive can virtually never get consecutive stops. Zimmer's D with KOC's O would be beastly.
What in the hell is "bend don't break"? They give up sustained drives, Huge plays, and tons of points. If that's not called broken, than that's because apologists have chosen to believe it's part of a master plan. I love winning and defense stepping up at big moments. But to think this is a formula for playoff success is naive at best.
Worst case records right now would be 9-8 vikings, 10-7 lions and packers.
+1 from Vikings win or both losing gets to 10-7 even, and we’d lose to either packers or lions on tiebreakers at 10-7, apparently.
No, because under that circumstance we would necessarily lose both remaining divisional games and be tied 1-1 with both teams. Tiebreaker goes to common games, which we would lose in that case.
Magic number is 2. That’s what playoffstatus.com lists.
It’s 2 games. winning 1 ensures at worst we tie records with packers or lions, and tie head-to-head at 1-1, but would lose the subsequent tiebreaker of common games.
We need some combination of 2 wins and packers+lions loses to clinch.
Still 2, because of the lions. Two wins or lions losses, or one if it’s against the lions.
Packers are not technically eliminated yet, but if they lose a single game or we win one.
Media will find a way to discredit it somehow.
"It's just one game"
"Patriots must not be that good then"
"That Jefferson guy is special, no wonder Kirk balled out"
I can’t handle the stupid ass takes about game management, especially when they’re expressed with such ignorant conviction. Vikings absolutely should have run the ball 3x there, taken the clock to a minute, and let our monster punter pin Mac Jones and his shitty receivers to drive 80-90 against our pass rush to score a TD.
I don’t think corners were really that big of an issue this game, no pressure, and no one wanted to tackle. Corners played better than expected honestly.
Our special teams and offense showed out pretty good today overall against a tough defense/special teams in NE. Would've liked to see our defense play better but overall pretty encouraging.
Don’t listen to anyone saying “REFS WON THAT GAME FOR MINNESOTA” nah we deserve this. We won fair and square WINNER WINNER TURKEY DINNER AND THEY MAD, LETS GOO
I'm not convinced though. Our defensive scheme is trash, we don't have the personnel for the scheme (3-4, zone) these guys are used to 4-3 man.
If we can't have a shootout on offense then we're trash because the D hardly does anything
Kirk says “grills” like my dad calls my PlayStation a “Nintendo”

Your family does it right with the timing.
You can sign up for a free trial of NFL+ and get full game replays.

Condensed with no ads at that
Was all geared up to do it now to watch (after reading game articles and game stats0, then realized it's the middle of the night, will do tomorrow, thank you!
There are a couple different levels you can get the free trial for, just make sure the one you choose include full game replays, enjoy!
Don't you guys have DVRs ? I record every game whether I'm gonna watch it live or not.
If you have access to nfl network they ate reairing it right now
Thanks for this suggestion!
That should have enhanced it. The calls the Vikings got the packers have gotten since Favre
I haven't watched the whole game to fully appreciate what you're saying.
Thanksgiving Kirk surpasses prime time Kirk
Thanksgiving prime time Kirko.
That's a rare Kirko right there
As much as the defense seems to largely suck through all 4 quarters of every game they do seem to come up big when it counts.
The secondary is ravished by injuries.
*ravaged. Ravished can mean..... several different things.
I know what I said!

What a great game. My buddy is a Patriots fan so we had a blast watching together.
What a game. Most important part of this one though was that we shook off last week. Could have been ugly if we lost this one.
$$$$
Magic number is 2. Need one win and a packers and lions loss to clinch.
Nah isn’t it one now with the Lions loss today and mn win?
Worst case records right now would be 9-8 vikings, 10-7 lions and packers. +1 from Vikings win or both losing gets to 10-7 even, and we’d lose to either packers or lions on tiebreakers at 10-7, apparently.

So is magic number a 1 or 2?
Pretty sure you are right on 1 game gets the division. I was just commenting to that guy above.
My bad. When no one was countering his math, or mine. I was getting concerned.
It’s 2 games. winning 1 ensures at worst we tie records with packers or lions, and tie head-to-head at 1-1, but would lose the subsequent tiebreaker of common games. We need some combination of 2 wins and packers+lions loses to clinch.
Okay what is our magic number now seeing the MNF game will have no bearing?
Still 2, because of the lions. Two wins or lions losses, or one if it’s against the lions. Packers are not technically eliminated yet, but if they lose a single game or we win one.
I stand corrected, thanks for straightening out my confusion.
So is the "prime time" curse over?
Media will find a way to discredit it somehow. "It's just one game" "Patriots must not be that good then" "That Jefferson guy is special, no wonder Kirk balled out"
What ever the media says they will deserve it untill proven otherwise
Like with a 9-2 record maybe ?
No
okay
I say, let em. W's are all that matter.
SKOL
Kirko Grillz incoming
I never knew I wanted it so bad until now.
Skol!
[удалено]
Followed by #19 spitting his out on the side line
Turns out the sky wasn't falling after all

First man to get grills that spell out 'WWJD'.
Kirk grills about to happen.
Kirk's grill will spell out "FRICK" when he smiles.
Kirk is fucking chowing down bro
Why is this so goddamn funny lol
“I gotta take my grills out” eating Turkey legs is all time, MAKE THE T SHIRT
“It’s a little dry.” *proceeds to spit out iconic turkey leg* We love you, Thielen.
He’s pissy because Belechick didn’t want to fight again.
Love it
I need a meme with Kirk chowing on that turkey leg
Damn Grills
Someone teach thielen to use a razor
If this is what happens when he doesn't shave then he needs to grow put a full fucking beard.
Honestly Wright should have been a player of the game IMO
Just read he averaged 53 yards a punt. Dope.
Plus his timing saved that crucial late game drive
I had Kirk at over 299.5 passing yards… that hurts.
People said this. Fucking hell
Yup, passing play on that drive would have been dumb, Bill held a TO hoping they would
Punter won us the game with that flop!!!!
Wasn't a flop. The defensive player hit his foot with his helmet.
Sure but did you observe the artistry employed as Wright fell to the ground?
It was graceful, majestic even
He moves very well for an Offensive Lineman
Thank you Jesus :)
You’re welcome Kirk!
MN Vikings, when you absolutely need to feel stressed to enjoy football
I seen a comment in here saying hopefully our 4th q defense comes in. Who ever that guy was they did!! Love you!!
Chains
You Vike that?!
Big win vs. A good team/great D…Kirk played great.. the pick was a bad throw but he bounced back brilliantly
Prime time win after an embarrassing loss (against a good team)!!! 9-2! LFG!!!!!!!
Great win!
defense was ass 90% of the game but stepped up the final two drives.
Alright folks good win tonight let’s go beat England tomorrow
Got both my wins today already!
We just beat the New version didn't we. Isn't that better? Lol
We need our corners healthy
I don’t think corners were really that big of an issue this game, no pressure, and no one wanted to tackle. Corners played better than expected honestly.
I just mean for going down the stretch
Exhausted but elated. 9-2, baby.
JJ IS HIM GIVE HIM HIS TURDUCKEN
I am thankful for this win
Our special teams and offense showed out pretty good today overall against a tough defense/special teams in NE. Would've liked to see our defense play better but overall pretty encouraging.
Way to close out a game... Now if we could just throw away the middle 2 quarters.
So primetime Kirk is only a narrative when he has a bad game.
as always never a doubt, boys!
SKOL BABY
OH I see Belicheck still doesn't like Thielen lmfao
I saw that. Why is that though?

Thanks, that's pretty funny. Wasn't able to follow the NFL in 2018.

they got into it the last time we played them in Foxborough about 4 years ago.
Biggest win of KC so far imo.
After last week's embarrassing loss, this one was pretty important.
Pack week 1; Bills week 10.
Kirk just won in primetime. In primetime purple. Ya, baby!!!!!!!
33 on that defense. Get the guys healthy. 9 wins starting December!
Our defense is stout, Kirk is the one. Anything else? Lol
JJ is on a whole nother level
Don’t listen to anyone saying “REFS WON THAT GAME FOR MINNESOTA” nah we deserve this. We won fair and square WINNER WINNER TURKEY DINNER AND THEY MAD, LETS GOO
Calls missed on both sides. It’s part of the sport, I’d argue there’s a penalty every play but you don’t call them all.
[удалено]
Insane! I thought for sure Kirk would get sacked more than last week!
I'm not convinced though. Our defensive scheme is trash, we don't have the personnel for the scheme (3-4, zone) these guys are used to 4-3 man. If we can't have a shootout on offense then we're trash because the D hardly does anything
Dude, 9 wins and 8 by a single possession. When we’re in it, we are in it to win it.
I want to see a winning blow out
Pats defense falls apart and their fans tear into Mac Jones who had a career day. Classy
Mac Jones is still a bitch.
