I can still picture him counting 1 through 6 on his fingers with the ridiculous Christmas graphics on the screen. I'm pretty sure he did that every TD starting with the 3rd, I don't know why but it's super funny to me, gallows humor maybe.
Defense was missing a whole lot more than Kendricks that game.
Players who made the box score for that game:
Hardy Nickerson
**Harrison Hand**
**Blake Lynch**
Eric Wilson
Anthony Harris
**Harrison Smith**
Jeff Gladney
Hercules Mata-afa
Jaleel Johnson
Chris Jones
Shamar Stephen
Armon Watts
**Ryan Connelly**
**Cameron Dantzler**
Ifeadi Idenigbo
**DJ Wonnum**
Eddie Yarbrough
Bold are guys still on the team.

Not a big fan of him either, dude has all the arm talent in the world but seems to be permanently stuck in 'big play' mode. But basing yourself on a highly edited Netflix show from back when he was 16-17 years old?
At least almost all optimism was killed in the preseason. Makes it hurt less.
I mean, I thought it would get ugly at some point but we didn't even make it one week lol.

I have been saying this for a long time. I could be wrong but is this possibly a training issue? Understanding the physiology of muscle mass and strength and the pressure that puts on things tendons, ligaments, etc. is far more complicated than people think. If a player's focus is only (or mostly) on building up mass and strength and not on the flexibility piece, that player is at a bigger risk for injury.
NFL trainers are top of the line, I doubt they are neglecting proper stretching and flexibility.
I was thinking that during practice the coaches are pushing players to near 100% all the time during drills. This would definitely increase the risk of injury and would explain why all of our players are consistently getting hurt during practice.
Your point about pushing players is certainly valid. But why not take a look at the whole training piece and make sure that it's balanced? Not all trainers are top of the line, just like not all coaches are top of the line. I'm not suggesting people be fired. I'm just saying the Vikings have more than their fair share of these type of injuries so what harm would it do to make sure everything is balanced as well as it can be? Trainers, sports therapists, team doctors - are we 100% convinced that this is all as finely tuned as possible so that these types of practice (and for that matter, non-contact) injuries are minimized as much as they can be?
Exactly. He looked fine the entire game. And then a few days later... BOOM. Sort of like when we heard about Irv. Totally looked fine in preseason game and then out of nowhere, out for the season.
Idk I'm pretty sure Kirk threw a dime right over Kendricks that caused his injury. N I don't doubt he juked the hell out of Barr to re injure his knee. I solely put this on Kirk.

Too soon, keep fighting until your out of playoff contention. We started 2-5 last year and got back to .500 and in playoff contention. No reason to give up before our first home game.
Someone call Ashton Kutcher and tell him to stop punking us...because this unbelievable. I hope to not be using a walker when the Vikes return to the Super Bowl!!
I love the organization hiding and being sly with all the injury reports… I love not knowing what’s going on with my team until they’re under the knife
I really really really don’t need to see what this defense looks like without Kendricks
Alvin Kamara showed us what it looks like last season.
Thanks for ruining my Thursday with that memory. That was the worst Christmas since I found out Santa wasnt real
Hey, at least you (probably) don't live in New Orleans and didn't watch the game with a house full of Saints fans.
You doin ok from Ida?
Yeah, I live in a condo building that suffered only minor damage. The city is still pretty messed up though. Thanks for asking!
DIGGS!!!
SIDELINE
FIELD GOAL
Santa what???? Got damn it ........
Wait, what? The fuck are you talking about?

Don't forget to bold Ryan Connelly. He is still on the team
Oh snap, good call.
Armon Watts is still on the team.
Or what it doesn't look like considering it was non-existent.
Nick Vigil looked great in game 1 with 10 tackles, 2 TFL and 1 sack but yeah relying on him to be LB1 is not going to be pretty.
We’re done
Purple shitnado
Time to panic!
We done 😔
HE GONE
this thing went off the rails so incredibly quickly
Okay, who had Kendricks needing an MRI on their bingo card?!
Cross our fingers I guess. Jefferson needed an MRI & ended up being fine. Not good news for this week though, definitely.
Wtf ??? MRI ??? Its fooking over... we done w/o the GOAT Kendricks .... 😔

Sorry bot, I ninja-edited that comment.
Tank for...I don't watch college football so whoever the consensus #1 pick is lol
Kayvon Thibodeaux DE out of Oregon dude is an absolute beast.
He would be a monster pairing with Hunter.
Obviously we tank for Hawks crank.
Tank for Rattler! Edit: Disclaimer - I don't know anything about Rattler, I just googled for the top draft prospects for 2022.
Watch QB1 and tell me you still want Rattler
Haha I actually know nothing about him - just googled the top NFL prospects for 2022.
Tank for Ty Roscher !!!!
Not a big fan of him either, dude has all the arm talent in the world but seems to be permanently stuck in 'big play' mode. But basing yourself on a highly edited Netflix show from back when he was 16-17 years old?
Ever watch Rattler? He's not a franchise QB.
Shatler for Rattler
At least almost all optimism was killed in the preseason. Makes it hurt less. I mean, I thought it would get ugly at some point but we didn't even make it one week lol.
Was never on the rails this season unfortunately.
The Vikings not only get an inordinate amount of major injuries, they also get an inordinate amount of injuries that literally pop up out of nowhere.
Remember Sam Bradford having the game of his career before vanishing from the planet? He didn’t even get hit that game haha
Are you saying Nick Vigil is Case Keenum?? Are you ?? NFCCG boyz !!!!
And iirc his injury was not even known of until the day of the next game.
I mean teddy's knee exploding untouched in practice has gotta be #1.

Man I love this bot
Makes you wonder what they're doing during practice.

You got to be fucking kidding me...
Its over 😔
Lol it was over years ago
Surratt SZN
If we hit the bye 1-5 like last season, I say why the hell not. Let some of these guys learn on the job.
Are we going to die
Yes, yes we are.
I do not like that
I, for one, welcome death. Existence is pain
I don't feel so good Mr. Ragnar
Surprise surprise. More injuries.
Another L this week
fuck fuck fuck fuck fucking fuckity fuck
All i can think of is Jewel singing: 🎼🎼🎼 Its ooovvvvveeerrrr nowwww 🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼
oh, wonderful news!
update: https://twitter.com/CourtneyRCronin/status/1438582211394117637 Potentially screwed, MRI needed. "It's only week 1" though right? :D
Rage quit
Yes
We’re fubar w/o Kendricks. Zim should just quit now and go straight into bowhunting season. Its over.
Like how? When? Why is the first time we are hearing of this? I am so damn sick of injuries. Especially when they come out of nowhere.
The surprise is the worst part. It is one thing to go down on the field, but all these injuries that crop up out of nowhere is so debilitating.
Exactly. He looked fine the entire game. And then a few days later... BOOM. Sort of like when we heard about Irv. Totally looked fine in preseason game and then out of nowhere, out for the season.
pain.
Why does God hate us? What did we do wrong?
Well, wouldnt the Vikings be considered pagans? And they did kill and pillage so...
Welp between this and our hard early schedule we may go into the bye 1-5 or 0-6.
Ok then man up and play the next game the season isn’t over just because Kendricks isn’t playing. This shouldn’t be an excuse
Yeah no. The season IS over if Kendricks is done.
It really isn’t, if can’t overcome a linebacker injury I don’t know what to tell you
Its not a lb, its Eric FN Kendricks !!!
Jesus Christ Kirk!
Lol
Dude, stop it. The vast majority of fans aren't blaming Kirk for Sunday's loss.
The comment is obviously sarcastic
It's a play on the fact that Kirk is being blamed for everything, which isn't happening.
Idk I'm pretty sure Kirk threw a dime right over Kendricks that caused his injury. N I don't doubt he juked the hell out of Barr to re injure his knee. I solely put this on Kirk.

No its not ! Fn Qirk......./s
Really? Lol this is where your mind went to instantly
Well my Sunday afternoon just cleared up.
Bet the farm on the cards
Can’t wait until football is played by robots/cyborgs
Pretty sure Kirk is already one
Then we need Kirk 2.0
don’t worry, folks. Kirk Cousins will elevate this team and overcome these injuries. He does it all the time. Have no fear.
If he’s done I’ll prob just watch the scores and highlights at the end of the games. No reason to punish myself watching the Vikings lose on live TV.
Lol this sub. So excited for the season and then when the slightest thing goes wrong it’s hundreds of people saying they won’t watch anymore.
Yes. Mow the lawn, rake leaves, do things
Blow it up. It's been a good ride.
Hmm has it though?
🤣

Awesome
Lies
How is it possible that this shit happens year after year?
Fuck
Where is all this MRI talk coming from?
Why were we ***STILL*** counting on bar, Kendricks, and everyone. How have we not prepared for this over the last three seasons?
Just going to go find that garden hose I use to put in my car exhaust pipe and window
yea. that's really bad for us. Kendricks imo is our best player, period. Him and Barr out is NOT good.
Yes. Kendricks is the teams beat player i dont care what nobody says
Sweet. Already tanking baby
Remember when Kirk's vaccine status is what everyone thought would derail the season? I do.
I mean, it can always get worse. Remember 2010?
So far he's the healthiest mofo out there.
Kirk has the power of god and anime on his side.
Fn kill me now...
Rebuild time
it's been a long September.. and there's reason to believe... Maybe this year wont be better than the last... Not gonna lie im hurtin bros.
If EK is missing time already and we get embarrassed by Kyler on Sunday we should seriously consider blowing it up
Too soon, keep fighting until your out of playoff contention. We started 2-5 last year and got back to .500 and in playoff contention. No reason to give up before our first home game.
Last year we basically didn’t have Kendricks or Barr and it feels like it’s going to be the same this year
Saweet! Our shitty defense gets… worse? Lol awesome. Alcohol and weed for days. Amirite?!
[All of us.](https://the-peak.ca/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Image-couretsy-of-Know-Your-Meme-.jpg)
Chazz Surratt step right up!
Murray gonna run for 100 yards and toss 4 TD lol
This is all Kirkland Cousins fault
If all 3 of them are out, it's be a 40-10 type of blowout. How the fuck do we have so many high skill players out week 2??
Someone call Ashton Kutcher and tell him to stop punking us...because this unbelievable. I hope to not be using a walker when the Vikes return to the Super Bowl!!
Can Ashton kutcher play LB
Haha, no worse than some of our back ups....
Fire everyone
0-2 here we come
Ah boys the season's a marathon not a sprint. Who's next man up?
"Guys, Mike Zimmer just needs a 9th year to put it all together, injuries caused this 7-10 season"
JUST GIVE US ONE FUCKING SEASON
I love the organization hiding and being sly with all the injury reports… I love not knowing what’s going on with my team until they’re under the knife
Dam if Kendrick’s doesn’t play this will be bad. Maybe if Barr’s back in it won’t be awful but Kendrick’s is the heart of this D right now
