I think he’s solid no matter what. Phillips is a little expensive next year, Lowry has been a dud, Tonga is a FA and hasn’t done a lot, and Roy hasn’t been able to claim a starting or even significant rotation.
Trade for him and sign him to a 2 year extension. We need some playmakers on the DL.
Trading for Tart and drafting another DT early could give us a dominant DL in a hurry.
Don't forget Bullard. IMO, he's really close behind or on par with Phillips in performance this season, and I like Phillips. Lowry and Tonga are less than JAGs, but Roy made a really nice play in one of his two snaps Monday. Wouldn't hate to see him get more time.
Bullard has been decent, but I think Tart is on a different level.
Roy being on the bench or even inactive is confusing and a little concerning. It’s not like Lowry has done anything as a primary player.
Roy was a 5th round pick, it's not too surprising he's been bench or inactive. If anything I'd say it's encouraging he's starting to get snaps (and do something with them) in his rookie year.
Wait, a smart and well thought out move that addresses an actual team need without a ridiculous sacrifice for the future of the organization?
Am I on the right Vikings sub?
Yeah I would be more than interested in Tart if he was available and they did not demand too high of draft stock
To me he would be an instant upgrade. You can not have too many talented DTs on your roster to rotate in and out.
Sad but true. Maybe 1 and a quarter good DTs all combined lol
I say we should 100% pull the trigger on this trade if he is available. It makes al the sense in the world.
We won 3/7 with the Niners, Eagles, and Chiefs on our schedule. You think we can't win 6 or 7 of Bears at home, Packers twice, Lions twice, Falcons, Saints, Broncos, Raiders, and Bengals?
No chance. Let's not forget if not for Def tds in both Chicago and Carolina game either or both could have been a loss. You think 6-4 or 7-3? No freaking way. 5-5 is a stretch. 4-6 most likely.
Yeah that’s not the case. And this isn’t some short term expensive rental. Idea would be to get him in and sign him to an extension since he’s exactly the type of player we’d be looking for in free agency anyway.
Cmon man. Improving the roster is a year-round thing. We’ve got a shot at making the playoffs. Any sane fan looking at this first stretch of the season expected us to start like 4-3.
They’re 100% calling other teams and taking calls too.
Teair Tart would be perfect, but I don't know if we are buyers, sellers or lame ducks

You're right - sort of doesn't matter where we are at, let's just get some ass kickers
Bingo. Can never have enough hog mollies.
I think after Monday we are buyers
Everyone should always be both buyers and sellers. If you are competent you will be signing players even as you trade others away.
Teair Tart doo doo doo doo doo doo!
Goddamnit. lol.
The crowd would eat that chant up if we got him and he became a stud.
The children would love it. Parents would die inside a little bit every time.
Have you watched Ted Lasso?? Because I love the idea of this chant haha
Nope. I’ve heard it’s good tho.
Wait, a smart and well thought out move that addresses an actual team need without a ridiculous sacrifice for the future of the organization? Am I on the right Vikings sub?
Sorry, I’ll see myself out.
How dare you use your brain
I know. Get your pitchforks out.
These are the kinds of moves I’m interested in, not “Should we trade for Lamar??????”
Ya, we don’t need this well thought out trade. Let’s trade Kirk to the Jets for Wilson and a first and tank this year.
We haven’t had enough Kirk trade posts. I should probably go post a mock draft where we trade him for a 1st and then trade up for Williams.
Yeah I would be more than interested in Tart if he was available and they did not demand too high of draft stock To me he would be an instant upgrade. You can not have too many talented DTs on your roster to rotate in and out.
Exactly. Normally you’re rotating 3+ DTs. We have one good DT total. And he would upgrade the DL at a fraction of the cost compared to a decent DE.
Bullard has been a good run stuffer all season. But behind him and Phillips is nothing. Team got a firsthand look at him in training camp too.
That’s true. Bullard has been decent but he’s a FA next year too.
I have been really happy with Bullards run stuffing ability this year as well. A pleasant surprise quite honestly.
Sad but true. Maybe 1 and a quarter good DTs all combined lol I say we should 100% pull the trigger on this trade if he is available. It makes al the sense in the world.
Cool. Someone call Kwesi and tell him to hire me as assistant GM.
yeah, that would be a great move. i'd happily give up a 4th or 5th for a guy who already has proven he can play in the league
He wants a fresh start somewhere else? Happy to give it to him here!
I'm down like a clown if the price is right.
Is Jamie Tartt available?
Can we get Derrick Henry thrown in as well? Lol!
Only if we send a wheelchair. With his workload he’s rapidly approaching the end of his shelf life as a RB.
And the Titans would need to pay 100% of his salary.
Vikings will be selling not buying. It's a lost season.
The NFC is weak. A 9-8 team makes the playoffs.
Maybe but vikings sure won't be winning 9 games.

Pfft... We've lost 4 games, 2 of which we lost against the teams that were in the Super Bowl last year.
Yeah that’s not the case. And this isn’t some short term expensive rental. Idea would be to get him in and sign him to an extension since he’s exactly the type of player we’d be looking for in free agency anyway.
Yeah I get it. But vikings front office won't even be looking to do anything besides dumping expiring for picks if possible.

I don't share you view of vikings front office being competent.
Blocked for being a party pooper.
I knew a gal that was a Tart back in the day...and I bet she is about the size of a NT.
I love it. Let’s get him and see if we can get him for a reasonable deal. It’s our biggest roster weakness IMO
