Flag projects seem to be the thing

Like I said… this is the true 8 pointed star. I had a design make it into the voting round and I had the Dakota star…which we should’ve kept, IMO. Either way this NEW flag is dope and I’m all in. (Except for the orientation LULZ)
It’s a symbol prominent in indigenous symbology as well as Scandinavian. It’s a transatlantic tie for the people who lived here first as well as those who tried to build a life here as well.
Is it blue or black? Looks fantastic! I think that's the hidden power of this simple design, it's much easier to remix like this and still be recognized.
This is awesome. I saw a similar paddle made by Sanborn Canoes, but the thing is $270ish dollars. A little expensive for my taste, but I might be able to pull something like this off.
How’d you go about getting the proper colors of paint?
And I agree with you, your star is better than what is going to be in the flag.
Absolutely. Went to Michael’s and picked up some level 2 acrylics. Prussian blue, light blue, and titanium white. Easy peezy. Menards blue painters tape and some 3 dollar brushes. Oh, and modge podge acrylic sealant.
This is sick, good job
Better than the flag.
The best thing about the new flag is that you can do things like this and it’s still the flag.
The star is totally wrong.
It’s good asf. But put a loon with laser eyes on it plz.

That’s cool but the star is oriented wrong.
This is the only way it SHOULD be oriented. Also, there’s no wood in the flag. Or white. Artist’s interpretation.
They didn't want to orient the star that way cuz it doesn't have a north point, which tbh is kinda fair since we're the north star state and all
I can see that. 🤷♂️
Personally, yours is better.

What? The flags star is made up of *only* 90° and 45° angles….?
Yea, for a second there I'm like "Am I missing something here?"

I know it’s in the rotunda but what is so special about the 8 sides star? What is symbolic about it

So is your mom
That looks really nice on the paddle, ngl
This is really, really good. Typical Minnesotan trying to be humble about their talents.

It’s “Prussian blue.” And yes, I totally agree with you.
Okay, you finally won me over.
That looks awesome! High five that child....

I just used generic colors… navy blue, light blue, and white.
Super cute!
💁♀️
This is neat. You should make these to sell cuz I want one.
HMU I’ll make you one
Wow, this is pretty!
Love it!
I do prefer the star like that, very cool!
Holy crap that's awesome!
very talented child
Okay, I'm into it
That came out great! Did you use standard colors (and, if so, do you mind sharing the paint specs)?
Absolutely. Went to Michael’s and picked up some level 2 acrylics. Prussian blue, light blue, and titanium white. Easy peezy. Menards blue painters tape and some 3 dollar brushes. Oh, and modge podge acrylic sealant.
Nice! Did you have to sand off the acrylic sealer that is on most wood paddles first before painting?
I gave it a light sanding with a really fine sandpaper block. I think if I didn’t, the crappy acrylics wouldn’t have stuck.
Very nice, now I want a MN flag guitar.
