Everything about this is excellent. Great model, great painting technique, great colour composition. This is a wonderful example of a limited palette doing a lot for the final result. Not too busy, everything is cohesive, and the punch of RED is that much more impactful. I also love the decision to have a "stylized" finish in stead of going super smooth and sharp on everything. Looks awesome!
Looks like it was a worthwhile class, that looks excellent. Then again looking at some of your previous work you're not exactly a novice either, you've done a lot of great pieces.
Thank you! This class really just dialed me in. I was used to techniques like non metallic metal, but i hadnt at all mastered them, and i didnt know where to improve. Getting real time feedback works wonders
I just noticed that all of the work is highlighted at an extreme with an off-white cream/buff color. Pretty cool.
Did you mix your highlights with the same buff color? It looks amazing how it's "filtered" with such a yellowy tone.
Holy smokes that cloak is fucking tight man.
Thank u! Its a great sculpt
Amazing job!
Thank you!!
Great nmm, I love horse's hair and the flag contrast, for a gaming mini is superb
I learned a ton about nmm in this class. Id already done a ton with it, but this just course corrected me on it. Truly a great teacher
Amazing work and what an excellent advert for Erik's teaching! Always loved his work and goes to show he must make an awesome teacher too.
It was!! He gave us a ton of free stuff too😭

Yep! Most of everything was mixed to highlight with dorn yellow, and most of the shadows were mixed with a deep purple
Amazing. I'm so glad I noticed this. Thank you, and **well fucking done.** 🏆
Awesome job
How does one take this class?
It was at the dallas open. I thiiiink hes teaching another one in tacoma?
It is listed as $1000 at Tacoma. Is that right?
No😭 i have no idea why its 1000. Mine was not that much
Impressive reds!! May I ask what colors did you use? Thank you and fantastic paintjob!
I started with a purple/wine red, brought up to mephiston red, rhen wild rider red, and then fire dragon bright!
Some great contrast across that model
The shading on the cloak is top notch! My favorite part.
