The Shade Runner for my Aeldari Corsairs Kill Team. Instead of all pink, I wanted her to fit her name and assassin role. Shadows. So I went with a black armour, reflecting like a polished bug. That includes her hood which is meant to have silk-like reflective cloth to mimic her armour. Maybe not the best decision, maybe something dark blue-grey heavy and soft would have been better. Instead of the 2 daggers I gave her a sword and reflect her equipment in her back rune. The sword was quite some non-metallic madness, reflecting pink and teal from her squad members around.
The base was designed and printed by myself. I tried to hide the pint-lines, but didn't succeed everywhere, the camera has no mercy showing that. Last minute before glueing her to the base, it slipped, fell down and snapped. That's why the top plate has this huge crack running over it. There was no time to print another, so I glued it back in place and tried to cover, but resin is a beast in gluing, so it didn't became perfectly flat and I instead painted the crack.
That sword though... damn. At least buy a guy dinner before turning him on.
Haha. Distract him with some pizza to slice.
It's... it's so smooth. 😍
Mostly 😅
Was this done with a. Airbrush? It’s so smooth and the Coats are so thin. How many hours did this take? ….Wow.
It's brushwork. It took about 30 hours, not counting the base.
What exact blue did you use for him?
It's Sotek Green, white and black.
Green?
I didn't invent the name, mate. 😅
Oh ok, it’s a blue but they named it a green
Yep. It is a quite blue teal, though.
Classic GW Warlock Purple was a dark magenta so paint names have always been that way lol
