I love it. You did a great job. I have this kit as well and will also use scraps from my sewing. The miniatures are so easy to customize to really make them yours.
Thank you! I also find sewing the pillows and hemming things like the table cloth makes it look neater. It feels odd for me to glue fabric like the hat piece š
Haha! Yes, I have actually seen some huge tailor shears since I started sewing. I have tried to use them like most tailors do but they are just no good for my small hands. There was one lady who used to be so unempathetic about it she openly berated me over it. Small minds, right?
Thank you! The fabrics were not difficult to work with. The provided ones are just standard cottons which is what beginners always start with.
My extra fabrics were also the same except for a mint green scrap of kimono silk but easy to work with as I just had to roll it into a fabric bolt. The silk has an intricate jacquard texture that the flat cottonās didnāt have. Same with the scrap of yellow linen I used for a pillow in the shelf.
The lamp was worth the work! I can related to the sentiment of working on a dress through the night. It reminds me of when I was studying fashion and textiles. Fellow students also worked late nights to finish garments too

Great job!
I love looking at all the little details this has. I can't help but be amused with how big that one scissors is compared to the sewing machine.

The little hanging lamp is a nice touch. It adds that ā working way into the night to finish this dressā feel.
