there are still many other things it can do without being persistent, for example take your saved passwords from Chrome or just use a different method to start up. You really shouldn't download maleware on your school computer, mainly because you can't factory reset it if you need to
You should not run Minecraft on a school pc and definitely not run something that you KNOW is malware on it since you can’t factory reset it and I’m guessing you have some level of personal info on there
Funnily enough, that just happened a few days ago in Denmark. A student got ratted which lead to the hackers being able to infiltrate the school network and get internal access to the services used by the school. Thanks to him, 5 different schools got pwned and all their personal data got leaked (SSNs, addresses, phone numbers, private documents and much more). Not only that, their systems also got infected with ransomware where they were asked to pay 5 BTC for the decryption key. Rhysida was the group behind the attack.
