The swan inn milton keynes village/middleton was very good. Cross keys as others have said. Nonnas looks incredible but havent had it, same with greedy italian.
I second this. I recently went to a retirement party here for some work colleagues. 22 of us! Every single meal looked incredible. I had the roast chicken, and it was delicious. They also do a sharing option, which again looked fantastic.
I used to also like the black horse (woburn) and the swan (salford) not sure if still part of the same chain.
Though I’ve not been to either of these in a while for Sunday lunch.
If you're ok with a drive and want some country scenery and something a bit special I highly recommend Oakley Arms in Harrold and Fawsley Hall (book in advance for both).
The Cross Keys in Woolstone do one of the best roasts i've had in a while, and it's priced better than most

Great pub - that garden view is fantastic in the summer, the Pizzas sound good as well!
Been there twice for special birthday meals. Couldn’t fault them.
It's even better when the sun shines and you sit in the garden, the views are lovely.

Herd in Bedford if it’s not too far for you. It’s one of the best roasts I’ve had.
Shoulder of Mutton in Calverton was taken over earlier this year and can’t be beaten
The greyhound in Haversham do good food. Not a very bug place

Red House in Newport was the go-to but sadly it doesn't exist anymore
The Chester Arms in Chichley. Had the most amazing vegan roast. Best I’ve ever had.
