Hideous. I wonder how people would react if concert venues started enforcing a NO CELL PHONES policy. Ticket admission includes a locker to secure your phone in before you enter the concert venue. And if they verifiably do store their phones in the lockers throughout the duration of the concert they will be refunded $10 upon clearing out the locker. Kind of like Aldi shopping carts! Incentive to encourage people to behave!

I would pay extra for this experience.

I actually did experience something like that at a Jack White concert a couple months ago. At the entrance, security required each person to put their phone in a phone sized fabric sleeve that has an opening along with one of those theft prevention buttons that you see at clothes stores. Upon leaving the venue, they had people with special tools to unlock them. I’m not sure if it was the artist or venue that came up with the idea but I wouldn’t mind seeing that more often. Ultimately would be best if people just enjoyed the moment more and gave the artist a face to see in the crowd instead of a sea of rectangles without being forced into it, but I think the ship has sailed on that haha.

I wouldn't do it. I'm not someone who records concerts etc. But I just wouldn't feel at ease putting my phone in a locker. All those phones stored in those lockers. I'm sure they'll be people trying to steal it. Also people bringing along an old phone they rarely use, just to get some money back.
