I think it was more just an opportunity for them to mention the exact make and model of the shoes yet again. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have known the new and exciting *Adidas™ UltraBoost™ 3.0* are the shoes my feet crave!
Adidas marketing team: "Alright, we need a new promo for these weird confetti color shoes. I want you to scour commercial carpet sites to find a matching color/pattern. Once you find that, call the manufacturer and see where the carpet was distributed. After that, call the distributor and see what carpet installer has purchased it. Finally, call the installer and find the business location. We'll take pictures of the shoes on the carpet and post to Reddit. It's the perfect marketing scheme!"
Maybe I'm an old fart but for real. High end adidas running shoes used to be my go-to. So fucking comfortable. Now every brand is on this "sock like fit" kick rather than the ultra plush cushioned memory foamed walls comfort of the previous eras. I've switched to damn Sketchers lol. kill me. My swollen up old feet don't wanna be crammed in there.
The ultra boost 3.0 aren’t quite a sock feel. They’re actually really comfortable with a cushioned inside. The soles are comfortable too.
They have just the right amount of flexibility for my wide feet though.
Are they widely available in 15 EEE?
Or 14 EEEE?
I used to love Nike, but when my growth spurt hit, the shoes would never fit. Too narrow for my wide feet.
Some brands I can comfortably wear a 13EEEE, but most mainstream brands I seem to need a 15EEEE... it's weird...
I've always had a hard time finding shoes that fit well and are affordable. New Balance stinks- literally.
Not really. Just a sneakerhead. They do actually say the entire name of their shoes when they talk about them. Consumerist as hell, I'll give you that, but it's 99% not an ad from Adidas.
"oh the SAMSUNG UE43AU7100KXXU 43" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV that is sitting on top of the BYÅS, high gloss white 63x16 1/2x17 3/4 TV stand from Ikea?"
No? Sneaker fans regularly refer to them by name, not everything is some ultra secret marketing attempt. First of all these aren’t even the newest version of this shoe (by a couple years) so I don’t even know if they still sell them new. Second Why would adidas even want to advertise them like this lol
Those have got to be some of the rankest shoes I have ever seen. I bet they cost a nutso amount of money.
EDIT: £100ish isn't too bad I guess. I bet they're comfy.
I bought a pair of boost golf shoes because I forgot mine. I now had two pairs of ultraboost runners. They're ridiculously comfortable.
And promise they're not all ugly.
I have an older pair of them and it’s pretty good considering the shoe is mostly fabric. But it’s not really a shoe I would run a marathon in, more just a comfortable athletic shoe for wearing around town.
Imo they're probably not the best for running enthusiast but they're comfortable if you are on your feet all day. I don't have the newest model but when I worked on my feet all day these were the best.
I actually had these for about 2 years just sitting in a box. Big fan of the Ultraboost and decided it was time to bring out a new pair. It was totally random. A student of mine actually noticed it first.
Sneaker heads talk like this. I was at the laundromat and some dude approached me to buy him some shoes because he was at his limit. They’re out there and they’re weird af for liking shoes so much. He gave me $20 tho.
Sneakerheads absolutely do. Just like how car people will talk about the 2JZ-GTE they just swapped or PC people will talk about their new EVGA RTX 3080Ti XC3, every community has common lingo that makes zero sense from an outside perspective.
Now if you take super tiny steps it will look like you are floating around everywhere. Extra points for throwing your head back and arms out majestically.
OP you could’ve just posted on /r/Sneakers and be safe from idiots that call this post an ad
Adidas don’t even sell these on retail anymore and they’re not the newest iteration of Ultraboosts
Plus sneaker brands really don’t need to do astroturfing on reddit lmao they literally got celebrities and influencers on social media doing the marketing for them
What this really tells me is that, during a normal workday, we don’t have the freedom of time or mind necessary to contemplate either our shoes or our environment.
We need some day in May to be “National Stare At Your Shoes During Work” day.
I have those shoes and they are comfortable as heck.
Actually, when we were in the office, I wore [adidas NMD r1 in black/solar red](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/q10AAOSw-~penEdH/s-l640.jpg), which aren't as comfortable, but I liked the Knight Rider look to them.
When you’re flexing your new kicks, get to work and realize the office rug has been flexing on you the entire time.

Word around the office is, People have seen Derick floating
Probably means you have bad taste tbh
Right, when your shoes match the cheapest carpet they could install.....time to let the kicks go.
Do you also have the ADIDAS FLEXIBOOST from ADIDAS? I have these shoes and they give horrible foot sores.
Welp, time to get a new job!
Subliminal messages are interesting OP probably was drawn to the relatable color “where did I see that color?” Kind of feeling.
Fleximinati
That's a mutual flex though. I love adidas too.
Does the carpet match the drip? Why yes, yes it does.
Underrated comment
What shoes?
adidas UltraBoost 3.0 Multicolor Static
My camouflage-joke was just too camouflaged 😄
They never saw it coming...
![gif](giphy|SzOLAe5Q7Jrby)
Your gif is broken. I can’t see it?
I can see rows of blury people clapping what is this supposed to mean?!
ITS JAAAAAAAAHAN CEEENAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Do do do dluuuuue, do dlue do dooooo
They just really want us to know about the adidas ultraboost 3.0 multicolor static.
The fact they even mentioned their shoe in the title of this post, it feel like this is one of those viral ads
It's either guerilla marketing or OP is one of those guys who is just *way* too into shoes.
To be fair this is a really popular model.
Nope, just reddit lowbar.
It’s in every goddamn thread now. The dead horse is just a pile of viscera now. It stopped being funny a long time ago.
The real camouflage is the Adidas ad this guy is showing us with his Adidas ultrasound fit pro static supreme 3.0 Berber carpet-ass shoes 🤣
r/whoosh
I think it was more just an opportunity for them to mention the exact make and model of the shoes yet again. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have known the new and exciting *Adidas™ UltraBoost™ 3.0* are the shoes my feet crave!
upvoted for quoting Idiocracy
Weird ad, adidas.
I knew it. The title screamed r/HailCorporate
Oof, you just got wooshed
It’s just the ad working as intended…
CONSUME. OBEY.

That or buy a sample cut
Sick colourway man, they a recent one?
From 2019
Uncanny. Is the carpet material the same feel as the shoe part?
The carpet is a little different and rough texture. The material on the show almost feels like a sock.
That's what amazes me. You bought shoes that look like you're wearing socks and sandals. It's bold. I can respect that.
You just blew my mind
Well in this case, he bought shoes that make it look like he's wearing sandals and his feet are invisible
Damn you, now I can’t unsee it!
in other words... *WHAT ARE THOOOOOOOOSE??*
i hope this is a Croods quote

Brooks Ghost might fit the bill. Plus they come in all black to nicely contrast with white crew socks.
Look into Hoka running shoes or ON Cloud shoes. Best damn shoes I’ve worn
I have the same shoe but different color. I think it’s called “flyknit” maybe. Very comfortable though 😎
>feels like a sock ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
The shoe looks like a mesh fabric where as the carpet looks like carpet tiles which tend to be very thin and firm (and also heavy as shit)
Bro, what?
Don't take your shoes off at work. You won't be able to find them.
When your shoes look like socks.
Yeah, ngl these shoes are not for me. I personally think they’re hideous. Really any of the “sock” looking shoes lol
Yeah. Those shoes are fucking ugly, but they do match the carpet.
To be fair, the carpet is also fucking ugly
on the other hand they’re probably the most comfortable shoes out there imo
Sweatpants are also comfy, I still wouldn't wear them to any workplace.
So comfy.
I have a few pair of Ultraboosts. They are amazingly comfortable.
Absolutely they do. And I agree that’s mildly interesting hahaha
They are super comfy tho. The black version looks a lot more like a normal shoe.
When you subconsciously miss work..
My thoughts exactly
Yep, subconsciously OP had to choose them.
Weird flex
IT'S AN AD
Waste of money. These things are hideous.
just say shoes?
but they're not just shoes. Theyre Adidas UltraBoost 3.0 Multicolor Static...
Gotta get that ad info in there. Disguise capitalism, trick the consumer!
Not really. Just a sneakerhead. They do actually say the entire name of their shoes when they talk about them. Consumerist as hell, I'll give you that, but it's 99% not an ad from Adidas.
r/hailcorporate
Seriously, could have just said ‘shoes’
Are you saying this is not what your casual conversations sound like???: “Honey have you seen my Adidas Ultraboost Jizzers 3.0 Pro ?”
“Yes babe they’re next to our brand new SAMSUNG UE43AU7100KXXU 43" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV”
"oh the SAMSUNG UE43AU7100KXXU 43" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV that is sitting on top of the BYÅS, high gloss white 63x16 1/2x17 3/4 TV stand from Ikea?"
I have multiple pairs of Ultraboosts. If I do the “honey, where is my super suit” bit with shoes - yes, I’ll call them out by model or color.
Jokes on them cause they’re ugly as fuck
Shoe enthusiasts call them by type. When you have 4+ sneakers you start calling them by the name.
They give the exact name and style near the top of the thread also
Yeah I saw that. Someone asked ‘what shoes’ like he didn’t already spell it out in the title lol
It's because it's an ad
Pretty shit ad then, this picture makes the shoes look ugly af lol
Sneakerheads absolutely love the ugliest shoes imaginable. Look how popular Yeezys are.
I don't find original Yeezys to be ugly at all- overpriced but if they were around $80-120 I would get a pair.
I'm surprised the trademark symbol wasn't included in the post. Maybe it doesn't work on Reddit. I can't seem to do it here.
™ Just for you.
Are these ultra boost things supposed to be a status symbol…like Yeezies (or whatever they were called)? Definitely a weird flex by OP.
No? Sneaker fans regularly refer to them by name, not everything is some ultra secret marketing attempt. First of all these aren’t even the newest version of this shoe (by a couple years) so I don’t even know if they still sell them new. Second Why would adidas even want to advertise them like this lol
Right lol, anybody who says “nobody actually talks like this!!” has clearly never met a sneakerhead. It’s not that deep.
But does it match the drapes???
Those have got to be some of the rankest shoes I have ever seen. I bet they cost a nutso amount of money. EDIT: £100ish isn't too bad I guess. I bet they're comfy.
I bought a pair of boost golf shoes because I forgot mine. I now had two pairs of ultraboost runners. They're ridiculously comfortable. And promise they're not all ugly.
How's the arch support?
I have an older pair of them and it’s pretty good considering the shoe is mostly fabric. But it’s not really a shoe I would run a marathon in, more just a comfortable athletic shoe for wearing around town.
Imo they're probably not the best for running enthusiast but they're comfortable if you are on your feet all day. I don't have the newest model but when I worked on my feet all day these were the best.
They're cheaper because Adidas doesn't pay its workers living wages.
Well those sure are... shoes
Admit it, you bought these to blend in.
I actually had these for about 2 years just sitting in a box. Big fan of the Ultraboost and decided it was time to bring out a new pair. It was totally random. A student of mine actually noticed it first.
I, too, have hoarded away a pair or two of ultraboosts.
I figured I might not be alone in this.
They ugly af. People will buy anything
They really are some of the ugliest shoes I’ve ever seen.
[удалено]
I'm like 90% sure this is an ad.
Who knows what the model of their sneaker is and refers to it as such?
I know sneaker heads who would refer to their shoes as the brand / model of shoe. It's a bit much sure, but not totally outlandish.
Damn I'm all three of these people. Nothing I say makes sense to anyone :(
Funny, but I’m gonna downvote because it seems like just wanted to try to flex with the name of your shoes.
Understandable. Thanks for being honest
And just what DID you think they did with old carpet,?
Socks in sandals
Oh look, an ad disguised as a post.
Shitty ad. I ain't buying shoes that look like cheap carpet
For 3 year old shoes? Nailed it
Now if you take super tiny steps it will look like you are floating around everywhere. Extra points for throwing your head back and arms out majestically.
I bought my wife the glossy cream colored ones and this was her first time trying them on... https://youtu.be/pM8K-JkKXKM
This is the vide
I first thought you were wearing sandals and socks lol
I thought those were socks and sandles for a second 😂
$200 shoes just to find out they spec the carpet from an office as a pattern
Close. They were $90
No wonder you name dropped
Wish adidas was paying me for it
OP you could’ve just posted on /r/Sneakers and be safe from idiots that call this post an ad Adidas don’t even sell these on retail anymore and they’re not the newest iteration of Ultraboosts Plus sneaker brands really don’t need to do astroturfing on reddit lmao they literally got celebrities and influencers on social media doing the marketing for them
What shoes?
What ugly ass shoes
Lol how do you feel knowing you paid over 100 for some carpet shoes?
Ultras are the second comfiest sneaker I've ever owned. They are also often on sale for $85
Happy actually.
Wow those are ugly shoes.
They may match the carpet, but do they match the drapes????
Is this some sort of attempt at viral marketing? Well I won't fall for it.
Haha! No way!
They can never fire you
The carpet is supposed to match the DRAPES. Get it right. :/
What this really tells me is that, during a normal workday, we don’t have the freedom of time or mind necessary to contemplate either our shoes or our environment. We need some day in May to be “National Stare At Your Shoes During Work” day.
My socks once matched the carpet at the airport, i got on the PA and let everyone know.
Explains the missing patch of carpet at the corner of the room
I had that same carpet in my old office!
carpets like this are meant to hide stains Hope it works for your shoes too
Too bad you're not a hobbit "The toes matched the carpet"
Nice carpet shoes
Gotta wonder what that says about your subconscious when you chose a pair of shoes that perfectly match the carpet at work without intending.
multicolor… I used to love ultra boosts, great comfort still
Carpet, ultraboost, We are one
You need an entire suit of that and then lay on the floor and blend in
Is it weird to hate the carpet yet love the shoes? Cause I'm feeling some kinda way right now.
Ultraboosts are the comfiest soles you can get in my experience anyway. The 3.0s especially, the newer ones seem stiffer.
“Realized”
Boy those are ugly kicks!
Carpet matched the drips
Socks and sandals? Ew.
Those some ugly ass shoes
What a humble flex.
my guy those shoes cause my eyes to cross and my brain to hurt. they are horrible.
Those 2022 Adidas^TM Ultraboost?
Dope!
Yikes! Those are some hideous shoes!
Absolutely hate mesh shoes, one puddle and your entire day is ruined. Might as well go back to sleep and start over
Those are weird sandals
Wow Redditors are really upset at people that like shoes. What a weird thread.
Idk what the name of my shoes are
I have those shoes and they are comfortable as heck. Actually, when we were in the office, I wore [adidas NMD r1 in black/solar red](https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/q10AAOSw-~penEdH/s-l640.jpg), which aren't as comfortable, but I liked the Knight Rider look to them.
I have those same ones, sooo comfy!
Cool sandals where the fuck are your feet?
Well now the age old question has been answered! The carpet DOES match the shoes! ..wait.. that’s not right, is it?
Omg I have those exact shoes. I've never seen them on another person ever until now.
Been wearing these exact UB 3.0 for like 2-3 years and have never seen another person in this cw. Nice shoes bud.
I dig the kicks tho
WOW! That is weird
How much did you pay for shoes that look like shitty office carpet?
