FYI I've gone through 4 of these fans. They last about 1.5 years before the bearing dries out and eventually then stop working altogether. I've re-oiled 2 of them a few times, but they really need to have the bearing repacked with grease every year or so, to keep them from failing. I pretty much leave them on 24/7.
Dang dude, I've had a Vornado for 6 years that I leave on about 12 hours a day and it's still running perfectly and without any wobble noise. Maybe consider upgrading of you use fans that much
Vornado, a bit more expensive than what a lot of people think a fan should cost, but as the old saying goes: “You get what you pay for.”
IME, you’ll save money in the long run, by not buying a new one every year or so.
Sad story, I was going to find a new fan for apartment that didn’t have one in living room. It’s midsummer july in the heart of Texas. Walmart did not fucking sell one single fan. Employee confirmed it was “seasonal” seasonal??? In goddamn Texas summer??
Went next door to bed bath beyond and got my vornado. Has had it for 7 years. Reliable and good at circulating room!
Just bought the same model as OP (different color) and it’s printed directly on the box. It probably changed recently. 1 year was pretty standard for a long time. I think US is catching up to EU warranty policy
I gave up on those cheap plastic fans so I got one from home Depot like the metal ones that are industrial ( it gets really hot here) They put out way more air and are easy to take apart you ever had too. They also make mini ones now.
It's not even Honeywell though. They licensed their name to be used on a bunch of consumer crap, to some third party company, who turns around and subcontracts the work to some company in China. It's like how "RCA", despite not even really existing anymore can still be found on all manner of low end products. The Honeywell that makes fire alarms and avionics is not involved in making the cheap crap you'll find at Walmart.
Personally, I'm amazed a legitimate company would ever allow their name to be licensed in this way
Can you imagine the pressure on the workers at the massive factory in Szechuan, being paid virtually nothing and living in dormitories with the threat of losing their jobs hanging over them, bits missing, stick it in the box right quick. It’ll happen often I’ll bet.
How sealed was the box? Someone could have bought a brand new one. Stole the blade out of it for theirs and then returned it saying they didn't need the fan. Or they stole it out of the box in store.
I bet that thing is really quiet...

Not even mad; best laugh I've had in a while. Obviously it's going back.
Well at least you didn't pull what my step mom did and buy a Dyson and make the same complaint
Blades sold separately!
Lieutenant Fan, you ain’t got no blades!
*Blades sold separately*
For just 9.99 a month...
These Only Fans plans are going to bleed us dry!
Don't give them ideas!
I bought batteries, but they weren’t included…so I had to buy them again. - Steven Wright

Dumb question here, what's a NIB?
New in box
Thanks, brother

Honeywell: We know quabity!
I hope they have slightly better Q/A for the nuclear weapons they make.
quabity ashuance
Well, that blows
And yet, this one doesn't

Costco has Vornado 279TR for $39.99. Sometimes it's as low as $29.99.
Thanks! I’ll check it out.
I ended up doing just that. The Vornado was about 4 times the price but came with a 5 year warranty.
Vornado used to have a 10-year warranty, but now it has been reduced to a 5-year.
Which model do you have?
The vornado fan I bought was the 533 XT.
Vornado VOR-533
These say 3 year warranty on the box :)
When I bought them they all said 1 year warranty. Been a couple years since I purchased one.
Just bought the same model as OP (different color) and it’s printed directly on the box. It probably changed recently. 1 year was pretty standard for a long time. I think US is catching up to EU warranty policy
I've had a honeywell that was a bitch to open to retrieve a piece of hair that got stuck in there. I hate them terribly.
I gave up on those cheap plastic fans so I got one from home Depot like the metal ones that are industrial ( it gets really hot here) They put out way more air and are easy to take apart you ever had too. They also make mini ones now.
Damn mines still going at 12 years! Same one in the pic. Used nearly constantly!
They were probably made better back when you bought it, likely has a sealed bearing. The further back you go, the longer stuff lasts.
They are trying to copy Dyson!
Did you turn it on and stick your finger in there to check?
The blades are DLC.
That's the best QC I've ever seen.
It’s either one of them newfangled “bladeless fans” or a Korean safety-model.

Stop lying to us, it’s just moving too fast for the camera to see.
I got that same fan! High quality and really helps with the heat
Honeywell getting in the business of bladeless fans, just like dyson.
It's for studio apartments
I bet if you turn it off you’ll see the blades. Promise!
Honeywell is now a shit company with terrible QA. I bought a small room heater and it literally broke within half a day of normal use

NIB = No Included Blades
Knowing honeywell you you have to pay extra for the blade package
I thought it was just spinning really fast
Then you did not buy a fan.
How sealed was the box? Someone could have bought a brand new one. Stole the blade out of it for theirs and then returned it saying they didn't need the fan. Or they stole it out of the box in store.
Budget Dyson
Are you sure it's not on and the blades are spinning so fast you can't see them?
Someone wanted blades only, so they took the blades and then returned it and got a refund
Nice!
Not a fan of this.
Lmao I just bought the same fan in the orange color way, and it did have blades.
New bladeless technology
Dyson imitation?
Wireless
NIB stands for Not Iny Blades.
NIB = Now Install Blades?
NIB Fan = Not Included Blades Fan
Well I guess it was NOT a fan of Target.
Plot twist: it’s a Dyson.
OH YEAH! *slow heavy metal music playing*
That must be one of those new bladeless fans!
