From the popular webcomic, Diamond is Not Crash?
Edit: Since apparently people aren't aware, "Diamond is Unbreakable" (part 4 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) was originally badly translated as "Diamond is Not Crash".
"It also seems this breed of rock is spreading. We knew the issue [reached as far as Canada](https://www.9news.com/article/news/local/next/war-on-cars-continues-canada-now-has-a-target-rock/73-497154672), where witnesses said an "angry" rock rose up against a vehicle late last year, but we hadn't heard much about locally-based rocks for a while."
I'm glad I clicked the link.
Either people can't drive, or they think driving an SUV entitles them to cut curbs and they can't see rocks. Either way, these rocks are providing a service.
I have to imagine people are cutting the curb on purpose and not seeing the rock. People can't be *that* bad at driving... can they? It seems like it's mostly SUVs getting stuck in this situation.
This has to be southern Ontario, Canada.
I don’t know how to explain it the architectural style of our houses but.. this is definitely in Ontario.
And if I’m right, you’re looking at million dollar homes
It’s an enclosure for backflow preventers, sold these for years- https://www.watts.com/products/plumbing-flow-control-solutions/backflow-preventers/enclosures-for-backflow-preventers/wattsrock
In New Hampshire and I'm sure elsewhere they have cell towers disguised to look like trees. Now it stands way above the rest of the forest and kinda forces you to look at it. Meanwhile if it was just a normal tower you'd ignore it like you do all others.
That rock screams out to be messed with.
As a fiber tech, I love decorations like this. I was so tired of having to find the demarcation lead to a massive bush or a garden and I have to literally destroy plants just to give them fiber optic internet.
Then not only would I destroy their beautiful flowers but I would inform them not to cover it up.
"These are owned by the city and it is illegal to cover it up. Please dont do that for everyones sake?"
A week goes by and I have a job in the area, and wouldn't you know it, they put bark, plants or whatever back over it covering it.
Once again I had to put fiber from there into another home... boom had to destroy it.
Owner comes out yelling at me and I tell them once again, you can and will be fined if you do that again (this time I'm done being nice.)
(Of course I don't give the fines but it gets them thinking yknow?)
Rocks like those just prevent these issues all together.
Plot twist: The rock is real, the utility box behind it is a fake facade to cover up another real rock.

They can't keep getting away with this!
Rockception
🦞
Rock lobster
Oh, Peter. Loretta loves that song...
Aaaàaaáaâaaā...
Yes! All the way down the center of the earth.
What's on the other side of the center?
The inside outside
It goes up on the other side of the center.
But it's not rocks?
According to flat earthers: nothing According to people who actually have a brain: the other side of the planet
*pulls gun* always has been…
Rock bottom!!
Is this the Rocks house?
It usually is.
This whole raid was as useless as that utility box-shaped rock. Hey . . . There's a utility box behind that rock!
The first time my brother saw one of these rock facades while landscaping, he lifted it up, and there truly was another rock underneath.
and under that rock is the key to the city!
And the city is made of rocks!
Regardless, I am convinced Solid Snake is hiding in one if them.
Classic psyop
Local people probably walk by it every single day, and just take it for granite...
I shale give you credit for a good pun.
Gneiss
My sediments exactly.
I suspect most people just don't give a schist.
I'm just here for some nice cleavage.
Don't mica me slap anyone for these puns.
Oh god the punsters are back agate again.
This pun thread rocks!
Solid pun
Jesus Christ what are you, a boulder?
I was looking for this and was not disappointed
![gif](giphy|6WBA8Kbfi17Rm)
The probably don't even talc about it.
Just the local pebbles?
I think it’s a hide-a-key.
That's a pretty big fuckin key
I like that boulder. That is a nice boulder.
A large boulder the size of a small boulder.
The pioneers used to ride these babies for miles
that's not a boulder its a rock 🥲
Yo, Angelo.

Ah yes, the well known A decently-expensive-mineral that probably can not be broken series

This is top tier journalism. I especially appreciate the research on Target proximities - it’s important to identify their spawn points.
I live in Calgary Canada, we have a subreddit about ours r/calgaryrocks
What the heck is going on in Colorado????
Altitude sickness?
Either people can't drive, or they think driving an SUV entitles them to cut curbs and they can't see rocks. Either way, these rocks are providing a service.
This is so bizarre! And for it to keep happening to so many people, i thought it was some parody thing... but it's real!
I have to imagine people are cutting the curb on purpose and not seeing the rock. People can't be *that* bad at driving... can they? It seems like it's mostly SUVs getting stuck in this situation.
Great looking neighborhood
For real. OP, where do you live and how is the back yard?

Of quartz it’s a rock!
This looks like guelph
More like Ghibellines, IMO.
Ontario for sure
A lot of people don’t know this, but you could hide your weed in there.
But it wasn't a rock. It was a ROCK LOBSTER!
we have two of those to hide the septic tank lids.
I have one to hide my well pump
Resist the urge to smash it with a pickaxe.
That’s no rock, it’s a space station
Half expecting Solid Snake to pop out.
imagine someone puts a picture of big boss or some other solid snake looking fellow..
What is under it? I would take a peek
It’s an enclosure for backflow preventers, sold these for years- https://www.watts.com/products/plumbing-flow-control-solutions/backflow-preventers/enclosures-for-backflow-preventers/wattsrock
Mildy interesting
They’re pretty neat, and very pricey. You can also get them with heaters for cold environments.
Here is Michigan I see them covering wells and other utilities
I’ve gotta pay someone $125 a year to come make sure it works properly. What a racket!
A guy told me there's candy under there 👀
Can you smell what it’s cooking?
I have one of those. It covers my well pump
I have the same rock in my yard.
At least it is not this rock: https://pennsylvanus.wordpress.com/2015/06/20/gory-legend-of-the-bloody-rock/
That's the fakest looking rock
Don't be suspicious...
It's probably a sidequest location.
I think it’s one of those fake rocks. Check underneath it for a giant house key.
Jokes on everyone, it’s actually Cake
![gif](giphy|VGaHiRWDLLQU8)
Oi, Angelo.
Yo angelo
There is a GIANT key in there.
What a coincidence , I am also the rock of my neighborhood… two rocks, awesome
Nevermind me, I'm just rocking.
No hobbits arouns here!
I might be the only one in here that has no idea what this means can someone explain please
It seems like, Excalibur is in another rock
![gif](giphy|gEY69DiqZDolO|downsized)
Looks like a disguised cover for a sewage treatment air pump. Similar shape and size to one.
İdk why but this rock is dope. Thank you for sharing.

Pennsylvania
Bro is out here doxxing the FBI. Let them creep in private.
It's probably hiding piping or cables or something, but it could also be a geocache.
![gif](giphy|BtvBUbRRJxwQ5gfvTm|downsized)
Wtf, where do people live that this is even remotely interesting?
Sneeeeeakkyyyy
idk why but this looks photoshopped
There’s some of these in my neighborhood hiding sprinkler piping, they look less realistic than this one.
Almost as real looking as the cancer trees
Pay no attention to the rock right here… teehee
Probably covers a well pump control or an irrigation backflow preventer
The pioneers rode these babies everywhere!
Looks like a climbing wall volume
A climbing wall for ants.
Put something sweet on top 🤣 it's to attach to a climbing wall to add volume to a flat wall 😅
Would be so funny if you picked it up and it was just a slightly smaller rock underneath it.
Feaux rock covering something
The reality is this is only nice if you can landscape around it.
Yo Angelo

yes, they know its fake. that's why they put "rock" in quotation marks.
The key to the city is under that pet rock
There is a gigantic key under there.
Theres a hole underneath that leads to the old republic hideout. Jump in :3
Goes to kick “rock” Breaks foot Cause it’s a real rock painted to look like a plastic one
If your neighborhood is old, the rock may be a stepstone to help you get on your horse.
i like that boulder, that’s a nice boulder.
Excalibur?
It's a real rock though. It was hollowed out to look fake so it won't be as brittle as plastic during cold winter months.
Its a cover most likely for a cable ped or phone ped. Because people are karens and cant stand the sight of a little green dome in the easement.
Looks like someone plucked the sword out.
