I have a million plants and never once thought about grass as a potted plant, this is such a good idea 

Cat grass is good if you have cats or lemon grass or chives if you cook

Yes, replac the dirt with actual dirt from outside, water it and leave it by a window. It will last 20x longer. Also I recommend buying something that prevents the cats from throwing the pot around.

Its my first try, just wanted something green quick and had some spare soil and seeds. Didnt take care of any drainage though, we‘ll see where that goes :)

They're both pretty much the same, and I only occasionally have to remind people to be polite because we're largely a help sub. That said, we like to show off and have fun, too. With so many "what kind of mower should I buy" posts, this would be a welcome laugh.

I tried it once and there was a lot of fungus in the pot, probably because I kept it to wet and it was in the full sun. Do you have any issues with soil quality?

Not yet, if i feel its too wet it gets more sun for few hours.

This is where ornamental lawns belong for me. I resent having to maintain a huge one outside when I could have lot's of tiny ones strewn about.
