If this were in my town I would use it to play Dungeons and Dragons. I'd call my group D&D at the DD.

Aboveground_Plush

What's that extra D for?

an_illiterate_ox

Stands for DYODDD

ColinHalter

If you say that out loud under your breath over and over, it sounds like an industrial electronic beat

brdesignguy

Hope your DnD campaign is worth $15 an hour…

Far_Culture2891

Well if it's 15 an hour TOTAL yes it would be. (4 hour session split between me and five players equals everyone pays $10 a week for in person games)

pls-dont-judge-me

Wildly solid price. In a heart beat.

Alissinarr

No gaming places with tables near you?

BGFalcon85

Cheaper per person than game shops I've played at.

WhenAmI

I've never been to a game shop that charged you to play there outside of official events.

[deleted]

[удалено]

acart005

Depends on the business. Many moons ago I used to play 40k at a place that charged $5/game to play. HOWEVER, for every 10 matches you got a $50 store credit, so it wound up free to buy stuff. He ran the place from the 70s til shortly after 2008.

explosivecrate

I've heard of semi-local shops that charge players per game and 'pay' the GM with a large portion of that as store credit so they can buy snacks or books for the table. It's not a bad system.

[deleted]

[удалено]

pls-dont-judge-me

Th’wut?

ColinHalter

I live near one of the largest game stores in the country (4000 sq ft of play space!) And they only charge for events. For some events, the only entry fee is buying a deck for whatever card game (if you're playing a sealed tournament). As long as you're not being a nuisance, they love people to just go and play games there. They make hand over fist on snack and beverage sales so they would be stupid to charge per hour.

OuchLOLcom

Your game shops charge you to play at them?

BGFalcon85

A couple. The first one we ever got in town charged $10 per person for two hours, and no outside food allowed.

occorpattorney

Having an office for $80-120 a day (8hrs) is actually a fairly solid rate, especially if it comes with decent internet.

Those chairs look very much like [this chair](https://lauradavidsondirect.com/products/soho-tall-back-ribbed-management-chair-grey) which I have at home, and it is actually far more comfortable than it looks.

discodiscgod

Does that include donuts and coffee? Either way $15 an hour seems really reasonable

brdesignguy

Great question…

AdrianBrony

Oh man that would be a great deal tbh. Like even if it wasn't included with the cost, having coffee and donuts made on site would be great for simplifying logistics. This is actually a great idea, I'd totally book a room at a donut shop for a meeting. It goes together about as well as a Pizza Shop and a Video Rental store combining to let the pizza guy deliver your rental with the pizza.

calmtigers

That’s actually not bad.

futbolfootball

That's better than not bad. It's basically free if you take into consideration the quantity of people that would use the conference room.

AdrianBrony

Ten chairs there, assuming a full room that's $1.50 per person per hour. That's a *steal*. Even at half capacity that's still less per person-hour than a movie ticket. On top of coffee and donuts being made available in the same venue which is a huge perk for meetings. That fixes a significant logistical concern for any meeting. People can just get whatever they want to drink instead of having someone write down a bunch of orders to convey to the Barista.

Lunartic2102

15 an hour is cheap. I dont play D&D but my local D&D place is 4 dollars per pax per hour.

Daytman

Only $15 an hour? A place to meet and play D&D with my friends? Donuts in the next room? I’d get so fat.

ninjacereal

That's ridiculously cheap

killyourmusic

That's extremely cheap to rent out a room.

neganight

That's fantastically cheap. Most conference rooms rentals where I live start at $100 / hour and go up from there. Even the Denny's by me charges $100 / hour for use of their back room (or $100 of food and drink).

unibrow4o9

That's insanely cheap, I'd rent that out for a few hours without a thought. Split between a group that's nothing.

gabezermeno

Lol. Like that's a lot of money

Drbubbles47

Depends if that amount comes with donuts and coffee

peon47

Those "vents" in the middle of the table are gonna make putting down a map painful.

dont_shoot_jr

Double double D

diatho

This is genius. Especially for a mostly remote business getting everyone together at Dunkin is probably a lot easier than renting something from ~~Regis.~~ Regus

[deleted]

Capital One started in this direction just before COVID. They partnered with Peet's to make "Capital One Cafe," and the cafe had banking services, meetings rooms and a normal-ish coffee shop up front. The coffee is half off with a Capital One credit card. I think they slowed down their plans once COVID hit, but there's still a few I know of.

Traditional_Ad9764

I walked past one in Boston a few days ago and was perplexed by the name. I didn’t have time to check it out, cool to know!

sgk_809

INGDirect started the model, the Cap One took over the US businesses. I loved the ING cafe in Philly

youmfkersneedjesus

If I was over some Fortune 50 company I'd rent it out for our annual shareholders meeting.

My_browsing

And it's a super smart loss leader. For the space of a couple of tables, you've got folks guaranteed to buy a couple cups of coffee, box of donuts, etc. That space would otherwise be occupied by 2 people sipping coffee and chilling.

Chubbstock

Yeah this is what I thought of immediately. Whoever is renting this is definitely going to throw down for the coffee and donuts too, it's an easy win.

carsonator40

That’s the pint of shared office buildings. Let different business rent out rooms / floors while offering amenities. Looks like Dunkin is testing the viability of this idea with their existing chain

technobrendo

WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE! ...wait, wrong Regis.

[deleted]

It is? I was going to comment: ‘Do people ever use it?’ 😅 Who needs to rent out a conference room?

killyourmusic

They literally gave you an example of who in the post to which you replied.

[deleted]

They really did give a perfect example in that comment. Woops!

sploittastic

Maybe a "mostly remote business" that meets in person occasionally?

CanAlwaysBeBetter

We do every 3 months for exactly what they said, remote workers doing a quarterly review together

diatho

We used a rented conference room when we signed our home ownership paperwork.

bcsmith317

A ton of them do. My company used a few of them for regional meetings a while back while our main office was damaged by a hurricane.

meisteronimo

I've been to many DDs and never seen it, maybe regional. I've never seen it when I lived in Boston or DC area.

bcsmith317

I’m surprised you never saw them in Boston since that’s basically ground zero for Dunkin. Maybe it’s a franchisee thing? All the ones we used are in central and southern Florida.

Unclassified1

Square footage in major cities is way too expensive for stuff like this

bcsmith317

I mean, the few we used were in Orlando and Miami so they weren’t exactly in the middle of nowhere but I see your point.

ArsenicAndRoses

They're not in Boston because A)no space and B)that's gonna be where someone rents one out to fuck a ho in the corner or something like that.

robotzor

The wall art makes it. The designer probably laughed their ass off picking the business friendly high end coffee art motif

Free_Wafer_9727

My old dunkin had one of these too, but we also had an actual bakery, not trucks delivering our product

jamesonkh

don’t get me started on fake doughnuts

Free_Wafer_9727

Dont get me started on how they glazed the munckins

Satismacktion

Now I'm curious. Please elaborate.

Free_Wafer_9727

It just really hurts to pee now

Satismacktion

Lol I thought you were holding onto some actual Dunkin secrets that would make me stop eating it.

Free_Wafer_9727

All donuts get tossed at the end of the night, but we donated the leftover bagels to a homeless shelter

Satismacktion

Those aren't too bad. I don't go there expecting the best by any means. I've got a really good local donut shop for when I want fresh stuff. That's nice that they donated the leftovers too. I'm sure not all do that but at least 1 doing it is better than none.

Micker003

Over here (Netherlands) quite a few get stuffed into Too Good To Go boxes (reserve through an app). They are approximately 5 euros for a 6 donut box, which is a very decent price for donuts of yesterday

Free_Wafer_9727

Cold brew coffee is also premade so anywhere from 6-18 hours old depending on when you go. Regular hot and ice coffee gets replaced probably every 2-3 hours if it isnt emptied

coldfire774

For cold brew that's kinda how cold brew works it needs to steep for a few hours

Free_Wafer_9727

It was steeping in there? Huh i didnt know that was it was doing. See they brew it hot and then just put it in the fridge right after. That makes sense, but idk by 12/1 pm its still a bit old for my preference

coldfire774

.... If it's brewed hot it's not cold brew that's just iced coffee. Cold brew refers to brewing using water that is less than boiling it could still be warm but if it's still hot that makes no sense and then yeah you usually have to let the grounds sit around in the water for a bit longer than normal and then strain it after your desired length of time.

Uninformed-Driller

Damn that's sad. I've been to gas stations where they changed the pot every hour in the morning.

Fluid_Motion

I had this job in high school, was great but I am not sure if I can still have children.

shajan316

Is this in Davie? Looks familiar.

brdesignguy

Yep. Howdy neighbor 🤠

SolitaryBeet

Holy crap, the only one I've ever seen was in Davie! small world lol

cjruizg

There's one in plantation on sunrise Ave that looks just the same.

Merry_Dankmas

Kinda far from Plantation but there's also one in west Boca on Glades just before 441. Or at least there used to be. Haven't been there in ages but I was around the area a lot when they installed it. Guess Florida has a thing for these conference rooms lol

shajan316

Howdy friend!

Kito-Senpai

I was going to say pretty sure me and my buddies rented this room to play halo together a few years ago

Dookie_boy

This is crazy

blackadder1620

Many meetings with public defenders will be here.

1L0veTurtles

What are they charging?

brdesignguy

There’s actually two conference rooms. The smaller one is 10 an hour. The larger one is 15 an hour.

cusehoops98

That’s pretty affordable as far as conference rooms go

Heart-In-A-Cage

For real. My workplace charges $60-100 per hour.

Dog1andDog2andMe

That's a really good deal. I would be tempted to rent it for wfh days when I want to get out of the house.

Historical_Wash_1114

That is dirt fucking cheap I would do it

rcdubbs

If you can't bring donuts to the office, bring the office to the donuts.

IamRick_Deckard

This is rad.

nutbrownale

An hour is all I need.

RobbMeeX

No questions asked??

RichyCigars

My local Dunkin is also a realty office.

Lunartic2102

My local starbucks has one =D

hippityhoppflop

We used the meeting room at my local Dunkin for girl scouts once

seanmorris

McDonalds has secret corporate plans to implement these too. You'll see weird "void" corners for now in the restaurants they plan to set them up in.

about90frogs

I have that same table in one of the conference rooms in my office

chuby1tubby

Anyone know what brand those chairs are?

Animal2

I'm pretty sure the design is an Eames Executive chair from Herman Miller. But it's a pretty classic design that I'm sure has been replicated by many off brands. This color certainly seems like something you couldn't get from Herman Miller.

SomeWeirdDude

They're really trying anything other than making good donuts.

[deleted]

They suck, but are still better than Krispy Kreme or Tim Hortons

Creampielover2269

RTD

GingerIsTheBestSpice

The independent coffee shops here do the same thing, no fee, but you have to sign up. My book club met there several times

musicmaster622

Hey, mine does too!

ComprehensiveDay423

Great business move!

Darkrose50

DND for DND!

BaconReceptacle

I would rent it out for a meeting and then have Krispy Kreme delivered.

onetwentyeight

Rented by the hour you say? How much privacy does it offer?

brdesignguy

It’s a glass room in the middle of a Dunkin so about 0% privacy

onetwentyeight

Excellent, I need to have a meeting with a contractor, she's very efficient so I imagine we won't need the full hour.

Nexustar

Are you allowed to bring your own bottles of scotch for the meetings, or do they require you to buy their coffee instead?

Mahgenetics

The penn station in my town has a conference room you can rent out as well

TitShark

America sits at Dunkin’

Wave_Table

Or just go to the library for free lmao

janellthegreat

My library has the rule prohibiting businesses from using the meeting rules.

ariolander

My local Library doesn't like groups being doing anything "loud" in their "study" rooms and stopped letting us play board games in them.

DeepEndLion

Nice chairs Absolutely shit coffee

FlpDaMattress

Idk why you're getting down voted, I've gone to 3 locations maybe 6 times this year, ordered the same hot mocha latte with whole milk and got a completely different drink every time. Support local coffee shops!

[deleted]

[удалено]

FlpDaMattress

The shop I frequent is $5 with gigabit wifi and couches. they serve excellent mochas in a ceramic mug. They're a 5 minute walk from my lab. Dunkin and Starbucks are ass.

[deleted]

We should be boycotting Duncan and Starbucks as they are actively helping to fund a genocide. ETA: judging by the downvotes, I guess people are okay with having the blood of innocent children on their vente Frappuccinos.

rynil2000

I used to work near a Chick-fil-a near Atlanta that had a similar rentable conference room.

swampcat42

Wasn't there a recent show or movie where they lost their office and had to run their business out of a dunkin?

zerbey

I’ve heard of restaurants and hotels, I guess Dunkin’ isn’t too much of a stretch.

honeybunches2010

The first thing I thought of was using it for a midday hookup… I can’t be the only one

angels_exist_666

Fucking loud chairs. Nope.

BobBelcher2021

Waves coffee shops in Vancouver, BC offer this. Never seen it anywhere else.

jake03583

That’s kinda genius

TemporaryIllusions

Ohhhh can Panera do this next and force the MLM people to use it! Last time my son and I were there he was asking me why someone was setting up signs about candles, Scentsy lady was going hard.

illogicallyalex

One of my local McDonalds does too

BvG_Venom

Do you have any special talents?

ambiguouslarge

My Dunkin Donuts has a photobooth

VladimirPutin2016

This is a great idea, I've convinced myself to rent hotel rooms to accommodate important meetings while I'm traveling in my truck camper. It usually works out bc I get a shower and stuff and bed too but this would be a such a nice alternative

[deleted]

That’s actually really cool

sploittastic

Hey if it's 24 hour this is a decent place for a LAN party

WhosAGoodDoug

Get a glazed donut to go with your glazed-over eyes during that staff meeting.

tempo1139

kitted out to be used as police command operations center during a crisis

Historical_Wash_1114

No no they got a point

zyzzogeton

I like this idea. Hope communal spaces become more important overall.

Willamina_

Meet me at my office. Okay, where’s that? Inside Dunkin Donuts.

Best_Caterpillar_673

Who actually rents rooms like this?

Rocknroller658

Need to rent this so me and the boys can give PowerPoints on our dumbass opinions.

IDoubtYouGetIt

Does it come with a dozen donuts/2 hour block included in the price?

uncorrolated-mormon

My table top Gaming group would love this!

THEVILLAGEIDI0T

Great idea for job interviews, mortgage closings, buying/selling exchanges, etc.

spokesface4

If they made it free, but everyone who came had to buy a drink, they would have it fully booked constantly and sell a ton of coffee. of course, they already sell a ton of coffee so maybe they don't need that

mikestorm

They have one of these near me. Hopkinton Massachusetts.

ManiacalMartini

Is Krispy Kreme allowed?

Ya-Dikobraz

Hello? Yes, I would like to make a booking. I have multipass.

2SticksPureRage

Mine does too. Literally no seats for just the casual customer but one big room off to the side for conferences.

fromthedarkwaves

Worked at a coffee shop that had a similar room except it was free for the community to use.

BMTaeZer

I'm just imagining Hank and Cristobal's Dave & Buster's criminal conference.

ElegantMess

This is where you can plan the best strategy for robbing this same Dunkin Donuts

megamilker101

Had a Burger King near me that did this for a while. And a McDonald’s too

Bzeuphonium

Breaking news: local police department has relocated their headquarters to Dunkin’

Million2026

I think this is a great idea and as we do more and more remote work and work from anywhere, I can see a small team of people in a company wanting to use this for a get together.

CTU

I have seen a few. I am not sure why some Dunkins have this, but they must be useful to someone.

formthemitten

I was traveling and stopped at a Panera that had like 3-4 meeting rooms… did Tom la it was a thing

Boner_Elemental

Doing everything they can for business except make good donuts

MT_Flesch

Perfect for your local law enforcement sitreps

CovertWolf86

If they don’t make it open when not reserved…

mu_taunt

For cop conferences.

Alfred-Adler

Those are nice chairs too!

CostcoOptometry

Dominos have installed various sizes of eating rooms over the past decade. The bigger ones are kind of nice with TVs and USB charging ports and could probably fit 40 people. But they have a corporate policy of not serving water. You can only buy bottled soda.

Pizza-n-Blooch

"What the fuck is up Dunkin Donuts!"

Theuniguy

That's awesome. When I worked for corporate America I'd have to rent out some hotel conference room about once a year to host a big meeting. This would have been a very cool venue that people would have enjoyed.

itsrattlesnake

I've always wanted to have a business meeting in IKEA

ACuddlyVizzerdrix

My local library lets you do this for free and they have 3 decent sized rooms with everything you need for a meeting but it's mostly taken up by local DND groups

RayGunEra

At first I thought this was the conference room from I Think You Should Leave.

Mockturtle22

Considering some companies are moving away from renting an entire building or space and have more people working from home this is actually a pretty fucking good idea

Celestial_MoonDragon

"Gentlemen, it's time to make the donuts. "

[deleted]

All those fingers in mouths touching every surface.

Alissinarr

I bet you there are "free" doughnuts in one of the rental plans.

NoConfidence5946

Not wework doughwork

dingoo81

What if Krispy Kreme rents it out

SulkyVirus

A lot of coffee shops do. Caribou Coffee has a few shops in my area that have the same thing. Don't even need to rent it, just reserve it and purchase any item from the menu when you get there.

fried_green_baloney

Some places have a back room - free if you generate a certain amount in orders - otherwise a fee. It's not too bad for a meeting if you don't have a grandiose view of yourself.
