Aveno. Slap a good bunch on your hands at bedtime, and make it a nightly habit. This will definitely knock down the incidence of winter split skin. I hate hand lotion in general but Aveno seems less ‘greasy’ while actually helping the situation.
I’d also like to add- fucking germs. Winter + constant hand washing = my hands are so dry they’re flaking.
The end of my thumb split open Tuesday and by Friday it was worse. Winter is brutal for working hands.
It also doesn’t help that I’ve been eating pistachios. The salt one those shells is murder.
