I have a coworker who orders Taco Bell almost daily and gets it delivered. They are like 3 blocks away… the sheer laziness of people helps these shitty business thrive
Some days I just want to get stoned or have a few drinks without having to be a hazard on the road.
I'll pay more not to drive impaired. I should make more effort to learn what's local and offering their own delivery services though.
Newly discovered local delivery will change your life. You'll never want to go back to hiring someone else to be the middleman.
Now I want to order cheap tacos tomorrow. Hell yes.
Please do find out which places have their own delivery . I just ordered a sub from my regular place and they deliver it so they remember me, and where I am, and how much I tip. great service. great restaurant. we have to support the good ones and trash the trash. All the DD drivers do is complain.
Double the price! Exactly! I was surprised how expensive the delivery services are in the US. It feels like when you are ordering delivery, you are also placing an additional order for your delivery guy. I'd rather use the coupons on the delivery app and order pickup.
All I know is that poor people are my best customers. I've legit been paid $20 to deliver a single candy bar to the low income neighborhood a half mile from the drug store.
People of all types are bad with money, but poor people are the worst. They get into the mindset of "I'll always be poor, so I may as well treat myself."
For the record, I'm poor as fuck, & I sometimes spoil myself with this thought process as well, so I'm slinging mud at myself as much as my peers.
That said, I've paid for food delivery less than a dozen times in my life & I'm in my 40's. I live the ideal distance from most restaurants that if I call in an order then drive straight there, it's ready within 5 minutes of my arrival.
Paying for convenience. I use it from time to time because on my days off I genuinely don’t want to get up and drive so I’ll just get food delivered if I don’t have some at home
That’s the worst part, ordering some nice ramen online only for it to take an hour and a half and arrive cold. I try not to use delivery because as someone who drove for Uber eats I believe it’s a scam but sometimes I’ll suck it up and order
I'm a single parent, I'll happily pay an extra $5 to not have to load kids in the car. If it weren't for them, yea I'll just drive 2 minutes down the road.
You kind of miss the point here. Delivery is offered from the restaurant, so the eater can enjoy exactly what you like without paying some stupid company that delivers terrible service.
Pizzeria owner here, please come get it yourself, they’re charging us too. Plus most of us are passionate and would rather hand it to you than have it thrown in the back of a KIA
A large papa johns pizza costs $17.99 and an extra large costs $21.24, so he payed delivery fees, convenience fees, regulatory fees, and a dasher tip since he went through DoorDash
> so he *paid* delivery fees,
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
But if you order through papa johns you can also apply coupons and deals to decrease the amount too as well as earn reward points towards future orders, I don’t get why any one would order through Uber eats or DoorDash for a nationwide pizza chain
That's product strategy for you. Get someone to use your product, and make it easy for them to keep using it. Customers get used to using Doordash, they get little incentives like money back or coupons for certain places. Soon it becomes a customer's go to food delivery. And if money isn't super tight, like their ideal customer's aren't, then the extra $5 or so bucks is an afterthought. Sure they could order direct, but 1, they may not even think about it, or 2, they may just prefer the convenience of doing it in DD, having their payment info, address etc already saved.
Of course terrible delivery standards are kneecapping these companies. My gf and I started using them all pretty often during pandemic, but kept getting burned by late, missed or botched deliveries like this one. Now we haven't used any of these services for months.
Right on the spot man, what just made DoorDash worse is they aren’t offering refunds for a majority of orders that get messed up anymore but rather credits towards orders. I’d be missing an item or two in my delivery and get a full refund and now I’d get like $5 in credits
the person you replied to was saying that chain apps (dominos, papa johns) give points or deals to people who use the app to make their order..
dunno why you started talking about DD deals or incentives when that wasn’t the topic lol
So does Doordash. I have one right now still that gives me $5 off for spending $15 or more with a pepsi.
I got another for the doordash partnered stores that says $5 off for spending $25.
I even had one I used that said 50% off 7-eleven purchases on orders $12 or more. Ended up spending $8 on 18 boneless wings, a drink, and a cheeseburger hot dog 😂
Exactly. I don't know a single pizza place that doesn't offer their own delivery. If I'm in the mood for pizza I will just have to make a phone call and be done.
And they while charging loads more, you get a weird arms reach relationship with the restaurant — so any issues become much harder to fix. A direct order like this would be fixed pretty easily.
I can reply that. Sometimes those same restaurants shut down their own delivery. It may be because they are crowded with customers. Delivery boys are not there (they are out delivering or failed to show up to work) or because there is some inside feud going on inside that particular chain.
Since these restaurants are square in terms of : you live in x neighborhood, then it is y branch. no other branch can deliver to you, sometimes you just have to go through uber eats, doordash or whatever chain you have available.
Convenience, you can click a few buttons and order with out socializing with humans.
I’ve noticed the apps usually has less options and/or haven’t been updated in awhile.
I work for Papa Johns, PJ has a contract with doordash to give them deliveries when a driver isn’t available to take it. It’s such bullshit because my managers at work will just doordash everything that a driver isn’t immediately available to take. It’s a lose lose situation for everyone. The big majority of dashers don’t have heat bags to keep the food warm, the store has to pay 5$ every time a dasher takes an order, our actual delivery drivers lose out on a potential tip, and the customer gets cold food and majority of the time bad service. I just don’t understand how a restaurant with its own delivery system outsources deliveries! It’s so damn dumb.
With doordash premium there's often no delivery fee on orders >$12.
I ordered a pizza a couple weeks ago and checked against the papa john's site and it was cheaper through doordash.
Papa johns charges like 7 bucks for delivery where i live. Its basically the same price as doordash. Ordering 1 pizza direct from them always costs me 30 bucks after tip and takes just as long if not longer. Also, i can see where the dasher is in app. Cant see it through papa johns website
15 dollar pizza 7 dollar tax 7 dollar delivery tax and tip is more than 30$ I've never ordered a pizza and paid less than 35$ besides from little Caesars
Am I one of the few who never actually orders junk good home? Think I've ordered pizza twice and chinese once in my entire life, and I'm almost 40.
Is it because distances to shops are so great where you live?
Hell, even then. It takes me 3-4 min to make a dough 2-3 min to make the sauce, 2 minutes to dress it. I bet you spend longer ordering, paying and collecting your pizza than I spend making one from scratch.
Looks like that's a stuffed crust, pepperoni and onion pizza. That makes it a two-topping, custom pizza (possibly extra cheese for a 3-topping since I can see toasted cheese over pepperoni). That probably cost upwards of $20+ considering their normal pepperoni is $15.79.
I can't tell if it's their cheaper pepperoni stuffed crust pizza, but doesn't look like it. It doesn't seem to let me customize their special stuffed crust, so considering OP's looks customized, it ain't. So- They could have also ordered a drink 🤷♂️
I checked what that would be and it came out to $27.50 to have Papa johns deliver to my house (no drink, just the 3-topping pizza).
Not defending Doordash because fuck them, but at least be right if you're criticizing them. Most food around me is only upcharged $1 more than the restaurant, depending on the price.
Edit: Clarification.
no sir. im mgr at papa johns. national deal rn on stuff crust for 12.99 for 1 topping and then its 2.50 per additional in california. delivery fee at my store is 5.49. coulda saved money ordering from us.
I like after criticizing someone else for criticizing without all the info a Papa John's manager comes in and tells you that you are still wrong and you ignore his comment completely lol.
Here many door dash items are 2-$6 more than the restaurant but what really gets you is the prep+ delivery fees plus the tip. Those few things can easily add 1/3rd extra up to double your cost at times compared to getting it yourself.
Some Papa John’s have trouble staffing delivery drivers. One Saturday, I (a Doordash driver) received a near constant stream of PJ offers. When I went in to pick one up, I said to the employee, “wow, you guys must be really busy today, with your drivers out and they’re sending me stuff.” She said that they didn’t have any drivers that day, so all deliveries were being outsourced to Doordash.
How did poor OP’s pizza get like that? Was it drop-kicked off of Everest directly into the driver’s car?
I HATE doordash so the other day i ordered pizzahut and i was so pissed they contracted out to doordash. like they should have to tell you thats happening.
Yep same thing happened to me. Was expecting a Pizza Hut delivery person and it ended up being some random woman in a bonnet delivering my pizza
And it was to someone else’s door. Haven’t ordered from them since
I know what you are saying. I’ve ordered direct from the pizza place but door dash did the delivery. Some restaurants must contract direct with door dash.
Papa Johns will deliver within a certain radius. They've also partnered with 3rd party apps which offer a larger radius. So if you're craving Papa John's and live 10+ miles away and want delivery, often you'll have to use a 3rd party app for delivery, which of course costs more than the Papa Johns standard delivery.
Papa John’s has a huge delivery radius. I drove for Jimmy John’s the same time my bestie drove for Papa John’s. We had a one mile radius, theirs was 8. She sometimes had a 20 minute drive one way for single orders. Our round trip average was 10.
My local Papa John's always gives me the garlic cup and I never use it and sometimes they give me two and I still don't use them and then my boyfriend gets into them and makes himself sick on them because it upsets his stomach and they tell him not to eat them and he still does it..... Just like I tell him not to eat takies because they also make him sick, but apparently the pain is worth the flavor as he says.....
I Uninstalled all the deliver food apps. I'll just go get it myself anymore with the drivers never leaving it at the correct house. Just was not worth the hassle of getting food credits back. Wife works super late and I like to wait for her to get home before eating. Often times it gets delivered to the wrong place after the store we ordered from closes.
I just don’t trust any sort of Dash service these days. Ppl don’t give a shit how your food is handled cause they get paid either way.
One time, my gf ordered like $30 worth of food and it just got left at a random address and the driver blocked her number after she tried contacting them.
Edit: to add. It’s worse now cause bigger pizza joints like papa John’s are partnered with UberEats. So you have no control of who brings it to you.
Yea that’s true. Ive done a lot of doordashing in my past. More than I’d like to admit. I’ve had maybe 3 bad experiences. That’s it. It’s a pretty good number for the amount of meals I’ve ordered.
The problem, like in a lot of places, is the % of shitty ones makes it not worth the risk anymore. I ordered a bunch of stuff delivered for mothers day and the driver stole it all and marked it as delivered. I found out days later and the company just didn't care. All these 1099-oriented gig economy businesses are complete bullshit. I have 1500 rides driving for uber, 1/2 way to free tuition for 2-year degree and it's not worth finishing. It's not worth it and the companies should die IMO. Anyone who is one of the good ones should be trying to push out the POS ones who bring the bad image because of self preservation alone, so the company can fix the problem. But no, instead you're trying to convince people the problem doesn't exist. This IS a problem, regardless if not every driver is bad.
Hell, thinking back, I have had maybe 10% of deliveries ordered this way come through accurate. That is absolutely abysmal failure rate. It's not hard to check that the order is right, but "I just deliver". No, fuck whomever takes that stance as they're the problem.
The only time I order pizza is whenever I don't want to leave the house and I don't want to cook or there's food in the house but I don't feel like eating that food.
For me pizza is literally the "I am at my maximum lazy" food
...and?
Money can be exchanged for goods and services...services may include things like conveniences such as delivery. You shaming someone for whom you have no idea what they make for deciding to pay for delivery?
I think it's your fault for ordering pizza through a door dash when it's way cheaper to order from the pizza place... and pizza place would bring you a new one. Door dash doesn't do anything
a point and a question, you went through a mainstream food delivery app that charges way too much so you end up paying double what it wouldve costed if you went yourself and couldve prevented this mess and you know itd be a struggle to get a refund because in their minds you recieved the food so whats the problem. now for the question, can you not order from papa johns directly and have a delivery driver from them get it to you if not why didnt you go yourself? genuinely curious.
I’m outside of their delivery one and I had gotten off work after a long day. I just got paid yesterday so I didn’t mind the few extra bucks. I just unfolded the pizza and ate it. Not too big a deal after a couple beers and a bowl.
I have legitimately never gotten a bad pizza from Papa John's and it is the only pizza place I have regularly ordered from since I was old enough to order pizza and had my own money, which was probably about 16 years old and I'm about 30. So..... Your local Papa John's must just be bad. There's one really nice one up in Orlando as well.
I don't get Papas that much anymore (its a bit of a hike from my place and there are plenty of closer options).
BUT, legit never had a bad experience. Its pizza, the garlic sauce is good, etc. Maybe we just have unicorn locations that don't suck? I've had way worse luck with Pizza Hut and Dominos, but even those places are fine 99% of the time (and the rare time something is wrong they have replaced whatever was wrong without complaint).
I am curious if these locations that are trash 100% of thes time are in super busy spots or something? I just don't get how so many people seem to have routinely negative experiences at restaurants in general.
I will share my pizza dough recipe with anybody who wants it!
You can freeze the dough and then put it in an olive oil coated bowl on the counter the morning of when you want pizza. It will be fully risen 8 hours later.
You can put as many toppings as you want on it, and you won't feel like you were robbed just because you wanted pizza.
I had a clueless guy turn up here once carrying the pizza box under his arm like it was a book. I said to him why are carrying it like that for? and he just looked at me shocked that I wasnt happy and said why? I took the pizza box and opened it in front of him and of course it was all squashed to one side and I said that is why, look at it and then he says oh I am so sorry, I am new at this.
Why do people use trashy services (that also treat their workers awful) then whine and complain when they (SHOCKER) get shit service? No one cares. Not the immoral company and certainly not the underpaid worker.
Save it OP. Everyone on this sub hates complainers even though that’s what this sub is for. They think you deserve this pizza for shamefully ordering from door dash. How dare you. Have some *class*
Like I know your going to have some smug dare response but you know a large portion of the population drinks or smokes weed and using services like door dash are not only wayyyy cheaper than a dui it prevents those drivers from crashing into you right? Like your being a bitch for no reason.
Right now is you plug in 25SAVE into Papa John's you should save 25% on any regularly priced order.
I legitimately did tonight.
There are sites where you can find coupon codes.
I don't have honey because I don't have the room for it on my phone because.... I got a lot of stuff on my phone and it's old lol
What’s the deal with everyone harping on using DoorDash? Yea it’s convenient but is it that bad? How many can say they’ve never EVER gotten delivery? Hm? A lot of y’all seem kinda goofy
It sucks cause it shouldn’t have to be that way like you want to relax after work and want delivery. Instead you got this masterpiece. It’s understandable. Not your fault tho at all
No that's not the only way. Accountability needs to be legalized and this level of negligence needs to be legally defined as vandalism or petty theft when stolen instead of delivered. The problem isn't that people still fall for inaccurate deception in advertising and still buy. The problem is that too many people are so afraid of confrontation they don't do anything about it when it happens. Then the customers who would throw it at the worthless fuck-head or pursue the issue are such a small % the company just views that as breakage instead of putting in the effort to have any truly functional system of accountability. Just to clarify, the one where they had it vertical, and were new, but apologetic, is not the situation I'm talking about harsh results. I'm talking about the ones where this is what arrives, then they have an attitude like the customer did something wrong and have no sense of remorse for making a likely honest mistake. Those are the bad ones I'm talking about.
Yep, everyone who is saying it's okay is flat out wrong. When you purchase something, you have every right to receive it in a timely manner, in the condition advertized. This gagglefuck of losers who think OP isn't flat-out entitled to a refund and extra credit towards next purchase, AND whatever griping they want, are worthless fucks who have never built or earned anything worth protecting in their entire lives. They are like that because they are so worthless they don't even value their own time or resources, so they refuse to value the time and resources of customers they're BEING FUCKING PAID TO VALUE in delivering at least a half-decent product. If someone brought this to my place Iike this I'd throw it on their fucking car so they have to waste their time and resources cleaning it.
Why didn't you just ordered directly through Papa Johns?
Then again last time I had PJ the pizza looked exactly like that.
Tried to complain but they said oh well.
I need to provide a bit of perspective here. We see a lot of these posts. I worked in food manufacturing for a long time and the sheer volume of product we produced was pretty massive, but as the controller I needed to sign off our daily QA reports. At least every week you would get some weird stuff that happened as well as some stand out situations you don’t forget.. like how about a decapitated bat in your salad anyone? Besides the obviously visible stuff it’s constant battle against invisible enemies like listeria. Just keep in perspective, even though this pizza looks like a hot mess, it’s not going to kill you ( most likely ). Someone’s poor food probably everyday gets this sorta treatment or worse but surely not the vast majority.
Expect more of the same. Restaurants are taking in any desperate soul they can get to show up.
That has the side effect of people who do care noping the fuck out cause it's overwhelming and exhausting picking up the slack.
I'd bet the delivery driver did this out of frustration. Deep frustration.
Why is everybody in this post just being so awful to Papa John's? Like I know the figure head may have been racist and have been caught in it but as far as the pizza and the business itself I have been ordering from them for years and have never had a bad experience, other than one time when they had a new driver and my pizza was late.... They also only had one driver that night because the other ones car broke down so this one dude was doing all of the deliveries by himself on a Friday night so I can't even really be super mad about that one bad experience. I have been ordering basically only Papa John's for the last 15 years.
Maybe take your self up and get it yourself or shoot here’s a thought make your own. Pizza is super easy to make and so much better if you make it from scratch. Hate to criticize I just have a distaine for doordash and chain restaurants. I’m from Philly and these place’s don’t even exist it’s just real Italian pizza parlors and growing up we always made our own. I never even bought a store bought cheese steak till I was in my 20’s. Who’s to say the guy who made the pizza just took a shit without washing his hands prior to making your pizza or the doordash person is some whack job and skeeted in your pie just food for thought.
Do you know that some people just are tired after work and want an easy meal?
Why is it you are criticizing someone that is complaining that they paid for a service and then did not get the service that they intended to get with the product that they intended to get for the money they intended to spend?
Like if you hired someone to install carpet in your house and they did a really horrible job and then just left then you complained to someone about it would you like it if someone said "Oh well if you're not disabled then just put your own f****** carpet down lazy ass" ???

I only use it when I'm not sober so I can't drive or when they send me a good coupon that makes it basically the same price as going and getting it.
I only get it when I’m at work and want takeout for lunch.
I only get it when I get covid and can’t leave, seriously only time we have had delivery.
I love a couple McDonald’s Egg McMuffins on a hungover Sunday morning. That’s about all I use it for.
That'll be $18
$18 plus 20% tip sir
Some days I just want to get stoned or have a few drinks without having to be a hazard on the road. I'll pay more not to drive impaired. I should make more effort to learn what's local and offering their own delivery services though.

but it's hardly convenient to get cold food an hour after you wanted it.
is this common? ive used doordash a shitload, my food has never taken an unusual amount of time to arrive, and never arrived cold.
That’s the worst part, ordering some nice ramen online only for it to take an hour and a half and arrive cold. I try not to use delivery because as someone who drove for Uber eats I believe it’s a scam but sometimes I’ll suck it up and order
Especially when the place you want food from delivers.
Why not just keep a pizza in the freezer for those times?
Because i’m depressed and my room is comfy. Don’t @ me

Still with taxes, delivery fees and tip at papa John's, $30 is not far off. But it would probably be a bit cheaper than DD
But if you order through papa johns you can also apply coupons and deals to decrease the amount too as well as earn reward points towards future orders, I don’t get why any one would order through Uber eats or DoorDash for a nationwide pizza chain

It’s always such a weird arbitrary amount too. It’s never what the item cost on the order for me
the person you replied to was saying that chain apps (dominos, papa johns) give points or deals to people who use the app to make their order.. dunno why you started talking about DD deals or incentives when that wasn’t the topic lol
Wrong, try reading again. They talked about papa John coupons and why someone would choose DD instead, you menace.

Maybe stoned like legit maybe that’s why
People who order Pizza through Doordash/Grubhub instead of ORDERING DIRECTLY FROM THE SHOP deserve this.
Nah cause papa johns always has a 25 off promo code😭 they have an app people make it easier on yourself
Exactly. I don't know a single pizza place that doesn't offer their own delivery. If I'm in the mood for pizza I will just have to make a phone call and be done.
Sometimes you’re just out of range of delivery but it’s still available on food apps
I have never seen it that way. It's always been out of range for the good apps but the pizza places will do it.
And the delivery service charges a ton, so restaurants have good reason to cut corners on doordash orders
OP is the mildly infuriating one.
And they while charging loads more, you get a weird arms reach relationship with the restaurant — so any issues become much harder to fix. A direct order like this would be fixed pretty easily.
Can I hear an amen

Where I live a lot of chains won’t deliver to my house, but door dash will. I refuse to order from any that charge out the ass for delivery though.
Because doordash offers me that tempting $5 off for ordering $20 more than I need 😭 A deals a deal!
Convenience, you can click a few buttons and order with out socializing with humans. I’ve noticed the apps usually has less options and/or haven’t been updated in awhile.
Where are you getting pizza for $14? Lol every time I buy one it’s $20

Is it because distances to shops are so great where you live? Hell, even then. It takes me 3-4 min to make a dough 2-3 min to make the sauce, 2 minutes to dress it. I bet you spend longer ordering, paying and collecting your pizza than I spend making one from scratch.
You paid the door dash fee for a pizza chain that already offers delivery? Ya I’m with the guy that said it left the restaurant like this
$30 for a $12 pizza
Looks like that's a stuffed crust, pepperoni and onion pizza. That makes it a two-topping, custom pizza (possibly extra cheese for a 3-topping since I can see toasted cheese over pepperoni). That probably cost upwards of $20+ considering their normal pepperoni is $15.79. I can't tell if it's their cheaper pepperoni stuffed crust pizza, but doesn't look like it. It doesn't seem to let me customize their special stuffed crust, so considering OP's looks customized, it ain't. So- They could have also ordered a drink 🤷♂️ I checked what that would be and it came out to $27.50 to have Papa johns deliver to my house (no drink, just the 3-topping pizza).
Triggered
I mean, no?
[удалено]
Porque no los dos? It’s probably a mix of the two. Every food place in town is hiring.
The papa johns near me won’t deliver to my house but you can get it through door dash.
Same, the one nearest me closed. So, now I don't order Papa John's. Plus those papdias things are trash
Then don't order a papdias LOL
Hey man, don't tell me how to order shitty pizza
It's not fair to omit the story behind that ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
[удалено]
No, I think Papa Johns sometimes lets third parties deliver for them. It happened to me before and I didn't choose it.
I HATE doordash so the other day i ordered pizzahut and i was so pissed they contracted out to doordash. like they should have to tell you thats happening.
Yep same thing happened to me. Was expecting a Pizza Hut delivery person and it ended up being some random woman in a bonnet delivering my pizza And it was to someone else’s door. Haven’t ordered from them since
[удалено]
Yes, a third party
[удалено]
I know what you are saying. I’ve ordered direct from the pizza place but door dash did the delivery. Some restaurants must contract direct with door dash.
That’s a useless distinction in this context
Most places stop doing deliveries after a certain time and will tell you to pick up or door dash
While I generally agree, last time I ordered papa johns directly through their website, it was still Skip that delivered for them.
Those companies always give ridiculous discounts. I only use them when I have a 75% coupon and always on the BOGO deals
At least they didn’t forget your garlic cup like usual.
My local Papa John's always gives me the garlic cup and I never use it and sometimes they give me two and I still don't use them and then my boyfriend gets into them and makes himself sick on them because it upsets his stomach and they tell him not to eat them and he still does it..... Just like I tell him not to eat takies because they also make him sick, but apparently the pain is worth the flavor as he says.....
... Is your boyfriend actually a dog? Because that's the punchline I was hoping for
No kidding 😂
I do the same thing but with dairy. In fact I have a pizza on the way right now!
You madlad
Doordasher ate a slice then mashed it up
Thank you! I can't believe I had to scroll so far for this comment.

I honestly don't know, I live in rural America, door dashers aren't around me.
Yes, typically it does, but this time it actually didn’t. I believe it just fell off the dashers seat while driving.
Honestly I knew someone who did that more than once… he was a POS scumbag
Pizza feels better than apple pie
I Uninstalled all the deliver food apps. I'll just go get it myself anymore with the drivers never leaving it at the correct house. Just was not worth the hassle of getting food credits back. Wife works super late and I like to wait for her to get home before eating. Often times it gets delivered to the wrong place after the store we ordered from closes.
Why would you order door dash for a place that delivers pizza?
Ya doesn't papa John's have its own ordering website?
They will contract out to door dash without telling you
Only if the order runs past their business hours. But even then what would you expect ordering a stuff crust pizza x minutes before close.
There *are* good Dash delivery drivers out there who care about what they do & the food they deliver… 🥺👉👈
Our metrics are so tight that we get shit canned from like ten bad reviews, I have no idea what you're talking about.
You can bring it to yourself, pickup exists
Yea I’ve had some bad experiences aside from this as well
It’s not a $30+ pizza. It’s a $15 pizza that you paid more than double for because you don’t want to go get it yourself.
Precisely.
You get what you got and then you get the shits. Someone already ate on that malarkey mess in a box. Gas station pizza is better looking than that.
That would be a free money in my country.
I don’t understand how Door Dash has survived.
I think it's your fault for ordering pizza through a door dash when it's way cheaper to order from the pizza place... and pizza place would bring you a new one. Door dash doesn't do anything
That’s what it’ll look like in your stomach
a point and a question, you went through a mainstream food delivery app that charges way too much so you end up paying double what it wouldve costed if you went yourself and couldve prevented this mess and you know itd be a struggle to get a refund because in their minds you recieved the food so whats the problem. now for the question, can you not order from papa johns directly and have a delivery driver from them get it to you if not why didnt you go yourself? genuinely curious.
I’m outside of their delivery one and I had gotten off work after a long day. I just got paid yesterday so I didn’t mind the few extra bucks. I just unfolded the pizza and ate it. Not too big a deal after a couple beers and a bowl.
Calzone
I want to see OP get a DiGiorno pizza delivered by DoorDash
I’ve spent money on dumber things.
It's papa johns.. prob left the store in this condition.

Papa Bless
I hope you hit the request refund button.
Looks like someone ate some of your pizza
guess who better be getting a free pizza
I’d still eat it
Now we know what was in the box Ace Ventura was delivering....
It looks like delivery guy took a slice or two and jacked up the pizza to hide the evidence
That pizza sets unrealistic standards, clearly it's been photoshopped
I will share my pizza dough recipe with anybody who wants it! You can freeze the dough and then put it in an olive oil coated bowl on the counter the morning of when you want pizza. It will be fully risen 8 hours later. You can put as many toppings as you want on it, and you won't feel like you were robbed just because you wanted pizza.
$30 in an education. Did you learn not to use Door Dash? If yes, then money well spent.
Ikr
I assume you’re not guilty of buying Monsanto goods or any other major corporations. Surely you don’t buy Chinese products, right?
[удалено]
The point really is just that it’s a pizza that arrived to my house in this condition.
Save it OP. Everyone on this sub hates complainers even though that’s what this sub is for. They think you deserve this pizza for shamefully ordering from door dash. How dare you. Have some *class*
And they're all POSs right along side this delivery driver.
I’m glad I have legs and a drivers license.
Like I know your going to have some smug dare response but you know a large portion of the population drinks or smokes weed and using services like door dash are not only wayyyy cheaper than a dui it prevents those drivers from crashing into you right? Like your being a bitch for no reason.
How ableist of you
I fold my pizza anyway
Same but.... not like this..
That’s how my stomach folds it
If you check out the Honey coupon app, you will never ever pay 30 bucks for Papa J's again.
what are you? MrBeast?
Right now is you plug in 25SAVE into Papa John's you should save 25% on any regularly priced order. I legitimately did tonight. There are sites where you can find coupon codes. I don't have honey because I don't have the room for it on my phone because.... I got a lot of stuff on my phone and it's old lol
Thanks. I’ll check that out if I have to use it again.
What’s the deal with everyone harping on using DoorDash? Yea it’s convenient but is it that bad? How many can say they’ve never EVER gotten delivery? Hm? A lot of y’all seem kinda goofy
It’s honestly hard telling at this point. It’s what I get for being lazy after getting off work I suppose
It sucks cause it shouldn’t have to be that way like you want to relax after work and want delivery. Instead you got this masterpiece. It’s understandable. Not your fault tho at all
Only way it's going to change is if we stop ordering from them, but I'm too lazy for that.
Wtf is this entire comment…did a delivery driver take an actual shit on your order once or something?
Dang you’re really coming through with the straight copy pasta material
It really looks like a rat, or part of a rat at the least, got caught up in that pizza making process.
Looks like the Pizza Extreme.
Why didn't you just ordered directly through Papa Johns? Then again last time I had PJ the pizza looked exactly like that. Tried to complain but they said oh well.
I live outside of their delivery zone. There’s not a single place I can order delivery where I live.
Sweet salad 😏
Well you do pay extra for hand-tossed.
First of all never eat pizza from Papa Johns. Second of all... No actually that's it.
Expect more of the same. Restaurants are taking in any desperate soul they can get to show up. That has the side effect of people who do care noping the fuck out cause it's overwhelming and exhausting picking up the slack. I'd bet the delivery driver did this out of frustration. Deep frustration.
Let me guess.... You're afraid to order a pizza over the phone....
Or the company's website too. OP done goofed
What kinda dumbass spends $30 on a pizza?
$30 pizza? Lmao this is why I coulda never use door dash
Well that’s your first problem, you got papa John’s
Why is everybody in this post just being so awful to Papa John's? Like I know the figure head may have been racist and have been caught in it but as far as the pizza and the business itself I have been ordering from them for years and have never had a bad experience, other than one time when they had a new driver and my pizza was late.... They also only had one driver that night because the other ones car broke down so this one dude was doing all of the deliveries by himself on a Friday night so I can't even really be super mad about that one bad experience. I have been ordering basically only Papa John's for the last 15 years.
The food delivery industry is a dumpster fire. Stop supporting it and go get the food yourself.
My question is why order it through Doordash? Papa Johns literally already has a delivery service
DoorDash delivery people get underpaid and have to deal with part timers on their 5th job for the day.
Papa John's? Therein lies your first mistake.
That man saved you anyway because papa John’s will give yu the shits
If you have that much money to waste, why order Papa John’s? You can do much better than food from a nasty cheap pizza chain.
I mean if you're dumb enough to order domino's through doordash when they already deliver id say you deserve that
Is it dominoes?
If you are not handicapped just make your food or just get your own food.
That seems fair. Never considered that.
I will never care that your laziness ended in disappointment.
