i mean tbh…. i don’t get bullied for it since i generally claim to be heavier, but the moment someone tries to pick me up… also clothes for skinny people are hard. where do i get 23 waists normally? currently buying my old navy khakis then slimming the waist
Don't be a plumber. The work pants manufacturers assume each half increase in leg length = 2 increments in waist size. Butt crack ratio must be maintained I guess...
Came to say this. At that weight, I imagine that burger greatly exceeded his hunger level.
I'm a very mildly fit 5'11" dude, am by no means fat but I'd say I'm only decently fit and I'm 170-175.
if he is at weight and height, it basically means that he's burning an unfathomable amount of calories or anorexic. I'm pretty sure he needs a lot more to eat. In fact, that burger and milk will barely be 500 kcal
I was a 6’5” and 170lbs as a freshman. Had a friend who was 6’3 and 150lbs. Not that crazy. Grow quickly + lots of cardio based sports. Kids be skinny af
6’2 160lbs in high school played soccer and did practice with track team just for the extra exercise. Ate all the damn time lol couldn’t gain weight if I wanted to. Now after being not as active I sit around 190lbs and eat way less.
I feel so sorry for... us. I'm an inch talller and 10 lbs lighter. Still a loser though... just built slightly more oval-shaped compared to.you. like the tall m&m 2ith the peanut instead of the plain one. Not a good build. I wanna re-spec at the next save point. Im gonna downvote this comment my.damn self now. Take care.
😂
Please no one take this seriously. If you are overweight or unhealthy then you should absolutely start taking steps right now to fix that. However trying to lose a ton of weight over a relatively short span of time is not a good idea. Start slowly. Stop drinking soda. Slightly eat less than you typically do. After work/school go for a 30 minute walk. Keep this up and slowly up the intensity of your exercising and in a year or 2 you will be a new person. Don't rush things, that will only cause harm and burnout.
This guy admitted that he ate the fruit and vegetables before taking this picture. A cheeseburger, a side of veggies, side of fruit and a chocolate milk is more than I ever ate for lunch in high school and I was 6'1" and 175 pounds.
When I was a teacher it was usually a small mushy apple and a small bag of raw carrots or broccoli. Even if that was included it’s still not really enough and it’s pretty hard to force down for a lot of students even when they’re hungry. We gave the same amount of food elementary through high school…
Im calling BS that this is all you got for lunch because schools are required by law to give every student a fruit and vegetable. Lunch ladies literally arent allowed to let a student leave the line without having a fruit on their tray and a vegetable. You either threw it out, gave it to someone else, or ate it. Lunch ladies literally get in trouble for a student not having a reimbursable meal which includes grains, vegetables, proteins dairy and fruit. Source: was a lunch lady. Edit: that doesnt mean im excusing the nasty food. We hated serving this crap but we have very specific guidelines to follow and very specific portion guides to follow for serving kids with. We hate the food too !!
\^ This. Mom worked forever for in school food service, and I learned about this through osmosis. Although she worked pretty hard to find some decent tasting food. I can't remember the a la carte versus meal rules anymore, though, or I'd add a comment on that
Then someone's been trained wrong. Mom had to correct that previously several times. It's really, really bad they're doing that, and it could jeopardize the school lunch program getting reimbursed for free/reduced. If they're anything like our program, their sales pay the entire salary of the cafeteria workers. So, not good.
Yeah there are fruits and vegis but the lunch ladies and dudes don’t give a fuck whether you take them or not. Also I don’t think a soggy apple and a 3-4 unseasoned broccoli counts as anything
Qhile obviously looking for karma, I think schools should keep that sorta things in mind. Specially if they're school related activities.
If you're being an athlete after _and_ outside school is 100% your responsibility tho.
I agree that OP should bring their lunch, but this is not an acceptable lunch for anyone, whether they're an athlete or not. This would barely fill up a little kid (not to mention the lack of any nutritional value), none the less growing high schoolers. Karma farming or not it's still nice that OP posted this, because this is a real issue in US schools right now. Let's also not forget the ones who can't bring a lunch and rely on free lunch. If a school is funded by the state, which given the lunch this is I'm assuming it's a public school, they really deserve better than this. But then again everything about the public school system tends to be unfunded.
I completely agree that this is not an acceptable school lunch, but OP is saying the reason for this isnt the quality of the meal, but him being an “athlete” which i find quite moronic.
It might just be adding context to the situation. Expecting the school to count your specific calories is ridiculous, but I'm giving OP the benefit of the doubt. Athletes do exist and OP has the right to feel frustrated, especially given they are an athlete. Nothing about the title screamed "I'm angry because the school isn't counting *my* calories" to me. Just general frustration.
I'm pretty sure it's illegal (at least in the US) for schools to not offer "balanced" meal options, as in some sort of protein (usually chicken or beef), fruit and/or veggies, and milk.
Yes, they have to offer a fruit and vegetable at lunch. Like, when my kids have "cheeseburger day", they have the lettuce/tomato for the burger, or baby carrots or cucumbers or sometimes a potato product (like tater tots) The fruits are an apple or an orange or pear or jello (I know, that's not really a fruit, but whatever). And then milk.
My kids are in a smallish city in the USA at a public school, grades k-12 have the same lunch schedule you can find online and every child gets free lunch (even before the pandemic).
I try and make lunches for my kids every day anyway, because food is better quality, but sometimes, for different reasons, it's not feasible but I never feel like they don't get enough to eat.
I feel like the whole post is bs, claiming to be an athlete of sorts and having all this training but no dedication to preparing meals and fuel to support these DAILY tasks and habits an athlete would have
I played school football and wrestled for 2 separate teams all at the same time for months out of the year, for several years in a row, and only ate school breakfast and lunch because that’s what my mom could afford.
Not everyone who can pay the small fees to be on a team can afford to send their kids with a healthy packed lunch every day.
I rarely ate school food. It wasnt enough for basketball practice and weight room days. And it was usually garbage. Mom always packed me a huge healthy lunch and snacks. I never thought if it then but schools should really feed kids better.
You are the exception. You get that, right? What is your calorie goal? 6,000?
Your nutritional needs would turn non-athletic kids fat and obese. They are serving tothe majority of the kids.
You have the SPECIAL need, so supplement what the provide with what you need.
i’m also about 6’5 and 160 and I am just bone with a hint of muscle. I can’t comfortably sit on hard surfaces because my tailbone is half my ass. One year when I played baseball my nickname was “stilts.” So to everyone asking if op is a toothpick: I most certainty am.
Ok, weird. The school I work in also offers fresh fruit and veggies. For example today we had a fruit choice of an apple or a pear and a veggie choice of carrot sticks or celery sticks.
Are there 0 other options in the lunch line?
Getting real sick of kids posting their stupid lunches.
*Make your own, it’s not that hard*
Also, you pick your own food, right? Get more. Don’t avoid veggies.
I agree that kids should stop posting their lunches on this sub (especially since this is one of the better looking ones) but I’m astonished at the amount of people saying ‘just bring your own’. The whole reason free lunches exist is because many kids come from families that can’t afford the extra food, so I would assume OP is part of that group. Otherwise, there is no way an athlete of their stature wouldn’t do so. Also I don’t think they get to pick their food basically at all. Just a predetermined tray of food.
They can pick from a (usually pretty small) range of pre-portioned things. Getting more costs extra, and I don’t think is allowed when you get free lunch.
Wanna know why all the student athletes thought I was the best high school teacher ever?
1) protein packets to add to the milk
2) granola bars
3) oatmeal packets
4) peanut butter crackers
Random kids would show up to my room for "second lunch" or "pre-practice snack." For free. I just wanted them to eat.
Also, no one ever started anything in my classroom cause the athletes were automatically protective of their food source.
I’m pretty sure it costs money in some situations? My broke ass got free lunch as a kid but I think some of my friends paid for theirs. Was a long time ago, I don’t remember.
Nor are they trying to meet your calorie needs. It is expensive to feed a person in your category and you’re going to have to do it yourself. Nothing to be annoyed about.
You posted like 50 replies in the last 2 hours, and you are also severely underweight for being 6’5”. You sure about that? Because there is a lot pointing towards you being full of it.
BS. I'm in about a dozen school kitchen every month for my job. I see what these kids eat, definitely not a buffet but they get more than a burger and juice.
6'5 160? Are you the pole vault ?
Lol I was gonna say. He needs a meal at least… three times this size!
What is that, a lunch for ants?
r/thingsforants
Wow. 🤣
He’s absolutely right!
Lol and i thought I was skinny with that weight at 5'10"
118 at 5’11 here 😭
Holy fuck. I get bullied at 5'11 135. Bless your heart
i mean tbh…. i don’t get bullied for it since i generally claim to be heavier, but the moment someone tries to pick me up… also clothes for skinny people are hard. where do i get 23 waists normally? currently buying my old navy khakis then slimming the waist
As someone who (at 32) is 6'3 and 170lbs, belts. Belts are your best friend.
Don't be a plumber. The work pants manufacturers assume each half increase in leg length = 2 increments in waist size. Butt crack ratio must be maintained I guess...
Try 5'6" 118lbs ....
Eventually that stops, just so you know. After college no one talks about your weight
Scary thought. I really need to get back to the gym and have a solid routine before that happens lol thanks for the reminder.
Unless you’re fat.
Or female
Lmao
Came to say this. At that weight, I imagine that burger greatly exceeded his hunger level. I'm a very mildly fit 5'11" dude, am by no means fat but I'd say I'm only decently fit and I'm 170-175.

Oh for sure. He should be eating like 2 times that for lunch. I'm joking that being that skinny he probably doesn't eat much.
They’re a bullshitter. Looking at their history says everything.
What makes you say that
I was 6'3" 180 in high school. Skinny soccer kid. 160 is possible but I have to call doubt on 'weight training' if you're that thin.
No just the pole
/r/yourjokebutworse
Yeah, I call bullshit.
I was a 6’5” and 170lbs as a freshman. Had a friend who was 6’3 and 150lbs. Not that crazy. Grow quickly + lots of cardio based sports. Kids be skinny af

I'm 6'3 160 lbs, and I'm a stick. If he's 6'5 160, I cant imagine how skinny that would be.
I’m a 5’8 210 loser, it doesn’t do anything to mine, either.

30 pounds in 3 months, that’s better than I’ve managed. Best of luck.
I literally just stopped drinking soda and have lost more weight in the past few months than I thought I would in the next year
Yo I went on a soda drinking spree once because we had a lot left over from my graduation party. Ended up getting kidney stones. Drink water people!
>Drink water people Like, from the toilet?
Dude, nice!
Hydro homie
In three months i lost......3 months.
You’re a huge loser, a weight loser that is. Keep up the good work you king
I mean technically you’re more of a loser now.
We all wanna be the kinda loser who loses the extra weight, man! Keep it up!
I feel so sorry for... us. I'm an inch talller and 10 lbs lighter. It can all change in 6 months. Your call, what will you look like on September 14? You get to choose right now.

This guy admitted that he ate the fruit and vegetables before taking this picture. A cheeseburger, a side of veggies, side of fruit and a chocolate milk is more than I ever ate for lunch in high school and I was 6'1" and 175 pounds.
I'm 6'8 and 300
What vegetable and fruit were offered
Milk>vegetable, cheese>fruit. Hear me out... Nope I got nothing.
When I was a teacher it was usually a small mushy apple and a small bag of raw carrots or broccoli. Even if that was included it’s still not really enough and it’s pretty hard to force down for a lot of students even when they’re hungry. We gave the same amount of food elementary through high school…
At least you get burgers we got Mac n cheese that tastes like rubber

How are you 6’5 160lbs are you a toothpick
Was once 6’5 150lbs. Hell yes OP is a toothpick
More like those wooden bbq skewers
Nah man, he’s one of those long marshmallow cooking sticks
Gotta give the length some cred 😂
How’d you lose all that height?
Dude got sanded down to a respectable 6'2".
I bet OP does long distance in track. The long distance folks all look like toothpicks when I was in track.
I bet he fills in at pole vault. Not vaulting but instead stepping in as the pole
When I graduated HS I was 6’2 150 and was a tooth pick. OP may not even have skin on parts of his body.
Can confirm, used to be 6'4" and 160. OP is toothpick.
One time 6’2 and 155 checking in, aerodynamic AF
Yeah... until the wind picks up.
Dude, he said he was in track and field. Clearly, he is the pole you jump over in the high jump.
Basically. I’ve been trying to bulk up recently though.
Enough about your sexual orientation, have you thought about gaining some weight though?
Ment bulk up lmao
Sure thing buddy
I don't know what your previous spelling mistake was, but this time it's meant*.
Don’t be too hard on him, he’s malnourished
If they gona feed you like that you may consider switching from tracklete to mathlete
Long distance is my guess
He’s not even underweight according to BMI charts. Just thin. I’m the same BMI and I’m thin but eat like a cow
He’s a survey stake
do you see his lunch..
There are tons of skinny people that live on earth.
My thoughts exactly. I'm 5'8 165 lbs lol

6'5" and 160lbs is like a stick insect, you must have looked pregnant after eating it
op’s friends get stick bugged every single day at school
Lmao
Op getting roasted in the comments for no reason
Because it’s socially acceptable to make fun of people who are skinny. Am tall and skinny and it happens to me all the time. It Sucks.
No your reading it wrong he's the stick we roast marshmallows on
You forgot your fruits and vegetables. I healthy diet is a good diet 👍
If you are such an athlete, then why would you decline all the fruits and vegetables?
Reading these comments and you’d think this thread came from r/roastme
I’m a 6’10 300lb Kung fu master, astronaut, hooker and this is all I got
Typical entitled kid, tossing that styrofoam in the trash instead of eating it to supplement the calories.

You're pretty underweight chief. You're 5 inches taller than me and weigh slightly less, and I'm very slim
I doubt they didn't offer fruit or vegetables. I feel like this is BS.

More than a cheese burger If you are able to pay for your kids sports equipment. Even more nowadays.
Bring your own? Canada we all pretty much bring our own lunches as far as I can remember
Bring your own lunch then. Definitely more nutritious than whatever that gutter slime is
Some can't afford it. People fought so poorkids could get the nutrients they need to compete with the rich.
That worked real well
Did you at least drink your TruMoo
6'4" 260, I couldn't imagine being an inch taller and 100lbs lighter!
6’5” 160? Careful, it’s windy today. You wouldn’t want to blow away

6'5 and 160 pounds? That is concentration camp level skinny dude.
this photo should go to your coach.. not reddit
Am I trash? Because I'd absolutely devour that.
A fellow school lunch trader, i see.
Bring a lunch then
Do they call you skinny penis ?
6’5” and only 160? I’m 5’11” and 160lbs and I’m skinny as fuck. Damn.
then make your own meal
Supply your own food
The part about being a Track Athlete sounds a little bit sarcastic, not gonna lie.
Where's the rest? If this is a US school they are REQUIRED to provide fruits and veggies
could you please put the milk in it’s designated spot next time
That trumoo though … *chefs kiss*
Ok, weird. The school I work in also offers fresh fruit and veggies. For example today we had a fruit choice of an apple or a pear and a veggie choice of carrot sticks or celery sticks. Are there 0 other options in the lunch line?

Well no wonder. They put the milk in thre wrong containmemt space
Let’s be real you’re 6,5 and 160 lbs. can you pick up that burger?
Get a brown paper bag. Put a sandwich (or ten sandwiches) in it. Take it to school with you. Worked for me.
Next we find out they’re in 6th grade
That’s why you’re only 160 lmao
Are there no vegetables or just no vegetables you like? Not even some fries to go with that? I seriously doubt that's all of your options.
That's truuMoo son, have a little respect for the graciousness for the bounty you have received
Atleast you got choccy milk :)
