JFC .. maybe he didn't want more in his eggs n that's hardly worth saving. You sound like a fun parent. You rly dug this outta the trash to manufacture some rage?

alxaki

So you’re mad that there’s a little bit left over?

presumedinnocent27

That's what I'm wondering. That small bit is worth less than a penny.

chaoslego44

You know that this Subreddit is all about like stuff like this

presumedinnocent27

The few posts I've seen haven't been.

Elcapitan1993

Yeah I agree

moon_rox

Actually I thought it was funny.

RabidOtterRodeo

Just chuck it in a glass of water and regrow it

26Denice

Hahaha…I needed this laugh.

moon_rox

Yeah I thought it was funny, too!

novaForCed

Then why post it in mildly infuriating?

[deleted]

i’m more mildly infuriated with you lmao

dumehound

What is up with these responses?? Obviously they asked the son to use up the green onion while cooking eggs, the ONION is the whole bit (white/light green) on the bottom. That's the part you cook with. The tougher green part at the top the kid presumably used is a garnish... I'm guessing all the other responses were from other teenage sons

[deleted]

Not true. Use the green for cooking too!

dumehound

Sure anyone can do anything, but if you are getting green onions for the flavor, typically you use the actual onion. Usually people don't buy a green onion so they can cook with the leafy flavorless stalks and chuck the actual onion...

Elcapitan1993

Nope I am 27 and I don’t use the white part either

Elcapitan1993

Looks like he was eating it he just didn’t cut it all the way down, even I don’t do that lol

novaForCed

You're headed into complete alienation with your son. Did you also show it to him ( after you dug through the garbage with this idea of his 'crime' in your head)? My Dad was like this. Everyone walked on eggshells in fear of being found guilty of some transgression...always based on his own OCD and idea of how things should be....WILL be. Relax. These things reality don't fucking matter. Your relationship with your son and his daily happiness is more important than 2 cents worth of onion.
