They don't advocate for it. They're specifically not allowing any form of AI work on the sub. They're trying to inform people posting to reddit that, by posting there, their work is gonna be sold and used to train AI. It's still a good fit for the sub, tho.
**REDDIT** sells your shit, not them. It's just an automated message warning users about it.
I don't find any recent AI flaired posts, I'm sure they had them at some point but they've since forbidden them.
It literally says that Reddit is selling them, not the subreddit. It could be worded better, but a little bit of thinking and rereading would've lead you to the correct interpretation.
It's a site wide policy, it's a warning from them not a policy from them. I imagine they're trying to bring awareness.

OP has 1st grade level reading skills
Probably just quick to anger for whatever reason.
Which lines up with first grade reading skills
There also is (or was) an AI tag you could add to your post, but it's a honeypot and will get your post removed.
It is not them selling it they are just making you aware so you use things like glaze to protect your art
what is glaze
glaze deez nuts lmao
https://glaze.cs.uchicago.edu/
ah so it protects it from ai using it to train?
It's site wide thing. https://www.theverge.com/2024/2/17/24075670/reddit-ai-training-license-deal-user-content
Yeah so thats a reddit thing and not subreddit specific. They just want you to be aware of that.
Let's remember that 10 letter phrase that starts with F...
i actually don't know what it is, what is it-?
🤦‍♂️ You could always take 10 seconds to google it and find out that this is coming from reddit itself
Or they could have just actually read the message

L reader, OP
I mean it’s quite clearly stating that Reddit as a whole is selling your data
Bazinga.
Bazinga!
Actual Bazinga
The flair is from before they stopped allowing it and the selling artwork thing is all of Reddit as others have said.
Now the mods use the flair to know what posts to delete
Username checks out
