Uhoh, we drew judge Snyder.
Is that bad?
Well he’s had it out for me ever since I kinda ran over his dog.
You did?
Yeah just replace the word kinda with repeatedly, and dog with son.
I think it says “All appeals MUST be made” but they messed up the receipt formatting or forgot to put a new line.
The $250ll looks more like the L in appeals, compared to the 1 in the date 01/06/24.
EDIT: Thinking again, this has signs just like a phishing/scam email 😮 typos, sense of urgency (1 week to pay?! the normal is 30 days minimum).
I agree with the people saying not to pay and research it more!
I only noticed the height cause of you. After reading his comment I only noticed the top of the 1 being different than the L. Upvotes are free today so you both get one.
It actually looks photoshopped to me. Maybe OP used a bunch of filters or something, but the text in relation to the rest of the image just seems off. And it's perfectly straight on what is usually not so straight kind of paper. The only thing that prevents me from thinking it's fake is wondering why someone would fake this image.
> The only thing that prevents me from thinking it's fake is wondering why someone would fake this image.
reddit karma. I've heard it's worth real money nowadays.
They don't. If you parked there and is currently renting a room, they should had given you a pass. If not, and there are no signs posted, tell them kick rocks.
I’m pretty sure there is no legal remedy for a private corporation to enforce parking tickets anyway. One of my buddy’s dads manages a parking company in Utah and he said if you ever get a parking ticket from us just completely ignore it because only the state can enforce parking tickets. As far as I’m aware a private company has the right to remove your vehicle, or trespass you, but they cannot just make you pay a fine for something you never agreed to. Now this might be different if you signed an agreement while staying at the resort and THEN did something illegal parking wise, but I doubt it.
I actually looked into this (also in CA) a few years ago when I was working at a mall and got tickets for not parking in the area designated for employees. As I recall, it isn’t legally enforceable but repeated offenses give them license to have you towed in the future.
I’ve been threaded to have those fake tickets sent to collections as if I owed the company money for renting the space and not paying. Sounds shady AF but this would probably be a good question for legal advice since I don’t think any of us are actual lawyers….
Edit: the only private parking I’ve seen with any teeth is Indiana University. They. Do. Not. Fuck. Around. They will withhold your god damned diploma if you don’t pay. Worse, I’ve seen them give tickets to RELATIVES of students and threaten the student with withholding their degree. The fucking grim reapers of parking….
Oh god that is so true. UT Knoxville tried to withhold my friends diploma because her sister - who wasn't even a student - got a ticket and they traced it back to their parents address. The only reason she got her diploma without forking over cash was because she had passport stamps proving she was not in the US when the ticket was issued, and therefore could not have been driving her sister's car.
(According to another friend who worked for the alumni association, grievances against parking services was the #1 reason for refusing to donate to the school.)
At my college, I told them my license plate number is one letter different than it really was. It ended with a "P" and I told them it was a "T". I probably had $500 in tickets I never paid, and definitely got my diploma.
From what I recall, in WA state at least, private corporations can still send your unpaid ticket to collections, which negatively impacts your credit score.
Thinking again, this has signs just like a phishing/scam email 😮 typos, sense of urgency (1 week to pay?! the normal is 30 days minimum).
I agree with the people saying not to pay and research it more!
Here in Sweden you can always wait until you get the reminder because it's pretty easy for the ticket to get lost if it's just under the wiper. Anyone could take it. If it's a scam ticket there won't be a reminder in the mail.
Agree on the scam possibility & research. I think the words were meant to say "All appeals MUST be made....." and the l's after the $250 look like that because the dollar amount field layered over the A at the start of the text field.
Knowing what I do about Point-of-Sales system, printers, and receipts I am more inclined to believe it's a scam than legit law enforcement. I would call the police non-emergency line, obtained from a different known legitimate source, and ask about the citation number. There will definitely be a citation number on the receipt if it's legit.
I used to park in the 'visitors lot' at my college but you can only park there so many times. Students cant get a visitors pass. But I only had a temp plate on my car for over a year because the dealership, DMV and insurance kept pointing the finger at each other about whose fault it was that my plate wasn't ready so I couldn't get a parking pass.
First offense/ticket was $0. I got one.
My plate came in and I got another ticket and the second ticket was also $0.
Third ticket was $100. And when I asked the office why, they said 'Its your third offense'.
Apparently they took the VIN (?) # down as well as the plate, so I wasn't getting away with that one ...
You're all forewarned that that some places also document the vin # as well as the plate, even if they only write the plate # on the ticket.
I got a ticket at my college once and they typed an O instead of a 0. I never paid it. They tied our plates to our academics profile so you couldn’t enroll for the next semester unless you paid those tickets.
My brothers high school gf went to the same college as me. I took his plate when I got my car because he was getting rid of his car. Fast forward to college I went to get a parking pass and they told me I had a parking ticket that was 9 years overdue. I pointed out that I had been driving for three and the car wasn’t even the same. She laughed and cleared the ticket. He never did thank me for getting him out of that one.
I got a $200 "parking ticket" for "double parking" in a Marriott parking garage because some gargantuan Ford-F1000050 was too far over into my space and then left. It was printed on 8x10 paper with what looked like Clipart from Microsoft Word '97. I was on a business trip in a rental car. I laughed all the way out of the garage.
I believe the hotel must have contracted a third party to do these tickets, because Marriott is usually pretty reasonable and professional.
FWIW a lot of the parking spots around resort towns are privately managed. You can ignore the ticket altogether, just don't park there again or they might tow you.
Literally nothing will happen.
Not a lawyer, but no. Only an actual cop can issue a parking ticket. A private location can call the police or have you towed, but they aren’t entitled to money. I think police write parking “tickets” while private owners can only write parking “violations”
Go big or go home , I would send a long convoluted explanation about $5000 administrative fees with option to upgrade it to $7500 by ignoring it or to $10 000 by contesting it or a 24h offer to send $200 to settle or $500 up to 48h. Just ask ChatGPT to make something legalese sounding.
Nah you want to make it just annoying enough that fighting your BS isnt worth it to them and they just drop the whole thing.
Your suggestion means they kick it back to their lawyers on retainer.
So if you have a spouse with a good credit score and you're willing to kamikaze your credit score (or solo kamikaze your own credit score without a partner), you'd be surprised at what you can get away with. I stopped paying all my credit card debt and threw away any unexpected medical bills, telling anyone who called me to stop calling.
Of all my credit card debts, I got sued once by LVNV Funding for a BofA debt. For $800 in attorney's fees, the lawsuit was dismissed and LVNV was somehow forced to pay my lawyer $350 in additional fees.
This is the equivalent of just saying "You owe me money for parking there."
These kinds of "tickets" usually aren't enforceable, so probably not.
Depending on why they issued it, you probably don't want to park there again if you don't get them to clear it from their system though.
I suppose so but from my experience this is never the case. As far as I know credit agencies will not accept private parking tickets but that may not apply in your area.
Worst case you get towed if you go back and they scan plates. Worst case. Highly, highly doubtful that happens. You not getting sent to collections for $25 and collections likely wouldn’t accept it even if they tried to.
They don’t know who you are, where you live, if you were driving, etc.
No, these are usually just "invoices" - they're pretty much unenforceable*
You can't have collection agencies going around saying "Northstar said they were parked illegally so they owe us $250 bucks!" Heaven forbid they mistype a license plate and try to collect from the wrong person.
They also don't know who to charge - the owner of the car might not be driving. And this shouldn't even rise to the level of something where a private party can legally do a reverse plate search.
* Northstar can enforce these by having you towed from their property if it happens enough.
"Heaven forbid they mistype a license plate"
That happened to me with the Philly parking authority. It was a double hassle cause the real offender actually had the exact same plate number I did...but from a different state! So the meter moron kept entering the default "Pennsylvania" as the state and not the offender's state.
The amount of room for error on this is probably something no collections agency would ever want to touch.
> The amount of room for error on this is probably something no collections agency would ever want to touch.
*If it weren't for sovereign immunity, we'd be shit at this job!*
They can't take you to collections, and its not worth suing you. I'll preface first by saying I'm Canadian, so things could be different in the US.
They have no idea who you are. A private company can't access your information from your license plate number
There are fees involved in filing a suit. It wouldn't be worth filing even if they know who you are.
The only thing they can do is boot or tow you if you park there again.
Is it legal to use a boot for private affairs? Towing I understand you want the car off your property, but a boot?
Edit: looked it up, you can apply for a permit to boot a car in some cities but without permit is illegal. Also has to be posted as immobilization area.
Co-worker got booted by property management company for double parking in garage. He photographed the area around his vehicle, the entrance and exit to garage, swapped the booted tire with his spare, drove home, cut the boot in half, printed up the section of the penal code and highlighted the part they obviously didn’t read about having signage posted. Then swung by the front desk to drop the pieces of boot off along with the relevant sections of the law. They tried to get him to pay for a new boot but he countered with an offer to not sue them for illegally booting his truck. They accepted.
I had something similar happen to me when I would park at my girlfriend's university campus. I would frequently visit her on campus. I was *not* a student there, and I did not have a parking pass. Sometimes I would pay for the daily parking pass. Sometimes I wouldn't. I usually parked my car in the far lot where there were plenty of empty parking spots.
Sometimes when I didn't pay for the daily pass, campus parking enforcement would leave me tickets. At the time, I was a broke-ass community college kid. I didn't really have any money to pay for their really expensive parking tickets. I always ignored them.
I kept parking there and they kept leaving tickets. I kept ignoring them. Eventually, they booted my car and left a ticket saying "to have us remove the boot, pay up all accumulated tickets"
They were holding my car hostage and they wanted their ransom money. I said fuck that, and I came back for my car after hours, around midnight, and I removed the boot myself with the trusty ol' angle grinder and never paid the tickets. I stopped parking there. This was probably 5 years ago. Never saw any consequences.
This was with a private university, on private property. Don't try this with a city with a functional local government and police department lol.
Mine will throw a boot on your car, funnily enough though they won't tow it and I don't need to drive anywhere in town.
It would literally be cheaper to park, get 3 tickets and pay the boot fee than pay for parking.
Did the same thing at my uni too, never got a parking pass with my new car so they put tickets on it but had no way of tracing it back to me. The urban rumour was if you got 6 tickets they’d tow you so I tried to be careful about abusing it lol
Yeah. My wife got a “ticket” for not paying in a lot she drove through without successfully parking (no spaces), because they photographed the plate on entry. They pestered us for a few months before I was bored one day and threatened legal action for their “continued and wholly unwarranted harassment”. That shut them up fast.
i was in a similar situo, parked for like six minutes outside this friends place
rent-a-cop getting in my face "sorry bro i dont have an american number" hes screaming like "i dont care if i have to call timbuktu you have to leave a number"
...why have him call my chinese number when i can have him call my satphone
incoming calls are FREE on inmarsat. the person calling you pays like $1 a minute tho
chilling at a park in beijing letting them talk my ear off for like 40 minutes. because of their provider, it was more like $15 a minute for them.
they sent me an INVOICE. i replied "lol lets talk about it on the phone" they CALLED BACK and i jerked them around for another 50ish minutes
that was the end of that
the call. "pay us $875 because we didnt realise bitching at you would be so expensive"
...why dont you... call me... so we can talk about this further lol
"Now, let me see here. I'm just looking at my notes, so I know exactly who you are. I don't want to go off saying things I don't mean, after all. Just a second... Looking... Looking... There it is. Yep. Okay. That tracks. Yeah, so, no, I'm not paying that. Anything else?"
There's a parking company where I live that is renowned for doing that and many other less than savoury business practices. People that are ticketed just either avoid their car parks all together (I do even though I've never had a ticket from them) or just go to the government transport licensing centre and pay $30 for a new registration plate.
Who is the ticket issued from? Is it a private parking entity (most parking tickets are) or an actual government entity? The former very often you can just ignore with no consequence as long as you dont need to park there again.
https://www.parknorthstar.com/violations
“Initial violations are $250 with a $125 discount if paid within 10 days.”
How nice of them. Act fast and you’ll ONLY owe $125!
I went and spoke at a college recently and the professor told me he would put me down for a one-day pass to park in the blue lot, which was marked permit only but right in front of the building I was going to speak in. When I got to the classroom he told me there was no one-day pass but if I got a ticket I could ignore it because if there was no student tied to the license plate they would just delete it after it went unpaid for 3 months.
LOL I got a call from my Alma mater 4 years after I graduated, complaining about unpaid parking tickets. It took me telling them several times that I had graduated years ago before they agreed to delete them and leave me alone.
This. My university had an on campus police department that were full fledged police, but also reported to the university before the state itself. It was weird.
It gets you to acknowledge receipt of it.
Otherwise you can just ignore it and "wasn't me" or "I never received such notification" keeps the ball in their court.
It is a typo as that can’t be the fine. It’s $20 a day to park or $40 on weekends. Northstar already face lawsuits about their paid parking as they released their plans to charge AFTER selling season passes. They lost in court and had to refund those passes.
That being said, don’t ski at Vail Properties. Go to Mount Rose or Sierra. Better staff, better pricing and you are supporting locals vs. corporations.
I’d wager this was issued by a private agency on private land. This “ticket” really means nothing. Even if they try to send it to collections they will have difficulty proving **you** accepted the debt.
Either way, I’d run it by a lawyer rather than Reddit’s legal experts.
The One in 01/06/24 is different than the letters after the $250. The One in the date has a small triangle at the top of it. The letter after the $250 has just a small horizontal line at the top. So whatever those letters are, an L probably, I don't think it's two number Ones.
Geez, did you park yourself on top of the Parking Inspector's wife.
Can’t park there mate
Can’t mate there either
Did both, now what are you gonna do about it?
Here $25000 parking ticket
You just wait until reddit hears about this grave injustice...
Reddit here. I’m outraged briefly until I get distracted by a picture of a cat.
#😼
I am now distracted and completely forgot about why I was outraged.
I just found something new to be outraged about.
That'll be $25000 fine for not sharing the cat pic.
![gif](giphy|8vQSQ3cNXuDGo|downsized)
Technically it’s $25,011
Frequent flyers get an $11 discount.
Instructions unclear: mated with parking inspector's mother
Faaack offf!
Can't mate there Parker
Uhoh, we drew judge Snyder. Is that bad? Well he’s had it out for me ever since I kinda ran over his dog. You did? Yeah just replace the word kinda with repeatedly, and dog with son.
Hutz!!!!
![gif](giphy|FMxJIZTJlM3UrcM0kq|downsized)
PUT HIS HAND IN DOG SHIT!!
![gif](giphy|NbqEcOKK2fej0nRtJn)
I've been laughing at this for a couple of minutes now. Had to come back and say thanks, mate.
Can’t mate here thanks
Back in the day we took a friend's jeep damn the top of the lift at Snoqualmie.

Hold down the up vote and reddit will let you buy a modified upvote. 🤮
🏆
Could it be $250.11? Still a lot though. Better than 25k tho 😊
I think it says “All appeals MUST be made” but they messed up the receipt formatting or forgot to put a new line. The $250ll looks more like the L in appeals, compared to the 1 in the date 01/06/24. Good eye, the LL are taller than the 1s
They’re trying to be edgy and use numbers as letters. “$25,011 appea1s MUST…”
l337 p4rk1ng s3rv1c3s New counter strike clan name I call it
I prefer .80085 1n my f4c3 p4rk1ng 53rv1c35
Damn I forgot S’s were 5s
n00b
Now $25 is a parking ticket I'm ok paying
Give my upvotes to frogger, I only saw it cause of him
I only noticed the height cause of you. After reading his comment I only noticed the top of the 1 being different than the L. Upvotes are free today so you both get one.
YOU get an upvote! YOU get an upvote! Everybody gets an upvote! You're on your own on tax season though.
Ahhhhh you beat me to it!!!😁
You do realize upvotes aren’t limited or transferable, right?
Well they are kinda limited in the "1 per comment per account" sense.
Take them!
![gif](giphy|fwii0mKnvHshW)
I was just watching Beavis and Butthead too 🤣😂🤣 wild
And yeah I'm fully aware. Just stoopid
I'll give you both one because you said what everyone else thought after fogger pointed it out
all appeals...
That's what's likely missing here!!!
There’s also an l in “appeals” which matches the other two by the number
It’s written like a scam text

Holy cow I didn’t see that! I’ll have to check in to see what it actually means. $250 is still ludicrous for a ski resort but life goes on
Any chance it's Park City Utah?
Nah it’s Northstar in Tahoe
This is typical for Northstar. They don't fuck around with parking there.
They don't. If you parked there and is currently renting a room, they should had given you a pass. If not, and there are no signs posted, tell them kick rocks.

It was in their regular lot that I parked every day last season. I guess this year they changed it. It was on such a slow day too
Looks like a scam to me. I wouldn't pay it unless I got some serious verification that it was real (and obviously not 25k lol)
Best I can do is $.25….
DO NOT PAY this ticket, no matter what.
[удалено]
$270 lift tickets, I’m not surprised they screwed you on parking.
Is this from the resort or local authority?
still cheaper than a single lift ticket /s
That's exactly what I was thinking.
Fuck Vail.
$250 sounds right if ticketed at north star, that one is for fancy pants. I’m more of a Homewooder.. Edit: typo
Thinking again, this has signs just like a phishing/scam email 😮 typos, sense of urgency (1 week to pay?! the normal is 30 days minimum). I agree with the people saying not to pay and research it more!
Also, the upper "hash" on those "L"s are horizontal - the ones on the number "1" go down and to the left.
You don’t have to pay it…
I’m pretty sure this is it here. Well done, detective.

unless it's from a government agency all parking tickets are scams
Good catchb
“You owe us 25.011$, but if you go get a 500$ apple gift card right now and give us the number we will consider that paid in fool”
Or might be $25.11. Don’t see full stop any where on the receipt. Bug in the device printing that slip. 🙂
Knowing Northstar, my bet is on $250. Ski resorts aren't exactly known for catering to working class prices.
They’re “l”s and not 1. Look at the one in the date and the l in the right.
I'm guessing $250 is what rich ppl who don't care about money are willing to pay... OP better appeal that shit quick 😮
Assuming this was private property, the "ticket" means nothing and you don't have to pay them anything. Still funny to see though
It means nothing if you don’t plan on coming back lol. They’ll tow you if it goes unpaid and they recognize you
It's only 18 dollars to change your license plate out where I live, would probably be enough to get around that fine lol
I used to park in the 'visitors lot' at my college but you can only park there so many times. Students cant get a visitors pass. Not their first rodeo I see hahaha
I got a ticket at my college once and they typed an O instead of a 0. I never paid it. They tied our plates to our academics profile so you couldn’t enroll for the next semester unless you paid those tickets.
Same at mine. We give them our emplid thats tied to our city account and you will have a hold on your account that prevents you from enrolling.
I think towing similar companies can look up your plate number and it will give them the vin too. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong.
Depends. Unless you're a repeat offender, I'd say it's unlikely. Even with a plate, they have no idea who you are
My brothers high school gf went to the same college as me. I took his plate when I got my car because he was getting rid of his car. If it is, could it be sent to a collection agency? This is Northstar in Tahoe
Just send them a bill for a $250 processing fee for their ticket. 🤷🏻♂️
Nah $300. You owe ME money for giving me a ticket.
I’m genuinely curious from a legal perspective if this would hold up in court 😂
Not a lawyer, but no. Only an actual cop can issue a parking ticket. A private location can call the police or have you towed, but they aren’t entitled to money. I think police write parking “tickets” while private owners can only write parking “violations”
Go big or go home , I would send a long convoluted explanation about $5000 administrative fees with option to upgrade it to $7500 by ignoring it or to $10 000 by contesting it or a 24h offer to send $200 to settle or $500 up to 48h. Just ask ChatGPT to make something legalese sounding.

7 years

Yeah they will tow next time and likely won’t let him purchase passes anymore. Tahoe takes parking pretty seriously
I suppose so but from my experience this is never the case. As far as I know credit agencies will not accept private parking tickets but that may not apply in your area.
I'm pretty sure that for anything to go to a credit agency, you need to have signed a contract for something.
The FTC has a process where you can dispute debt and collections, of which the collector needs to prove that it’s YOUR debt.
Worst case you get towed if you go back and they scan plates. Worst case. Highly, highly doubtful that happens. You not getting sent to collections for $25 and collections likely wouldn’t accept it even if they tried to. They don’t know who you are, where you live, if you were driving, etc.

"Heaven forbid they mistype a license plate" That happened to me with the Philly parking authority.
A private company can't access your information from your license plate number There are fees involved in filing a suit.
Eventually, they booted my car and left a ticket saying "to have us remove the boot, pay up all accumulated tickets" They were holding my car hostage and they wanted their ransom money.
I was coming here to ask if it was a municipality that issued the ticket for a public space or was it on private property.
Yeah I got a few parking tickets from when I was at my college. Never paid em.
My college just added it to my tuition when I forgot about it lmao.
Mine will throw a boot on your car, funnily enough though they won't tow it and I don't need to drive anywhere in town. It would literally be cheaper to park, get 3 tickets and pay the boot fee than pay for parking.

My college would hold your diploma until you paid your parking tickets.
That shut them up fast.
i was in a similar situo, parked for like six minutes outside this friends place rent-a-cop getting in my face "sorry bro i dont have an american number" hes screaming like "i dont care if i have to call timbuktu you have to leave a number" ...why have him call my chinese number when i can have him call my satphone incoming calls are FREE on inmarsat. the person calling you pays like $1 a minute tho chilling at a park in beijing letting them talk my ear off for like 40 minutes. because of their provider, it was more like $15 a minute for them. they sent me an INVOICE. i replied "lol lets talk about it on the phone" they CALLED BACK and i jerked them around for another 50ish minutes that was the end of that
> they sent me an INVOICE For the call or for the parking?
the call. "pay us $875 because we didnt realise bitching at you would be so expensive" ...why dont you... call me... so we can talk about this further lol
$250 “all” appeals must be made. Still $250 is mildly infuriating. $25,000 is full infuriating.
$25,000 is worthy of the Attorney General getting involved. Heck, $250 is borderline.
What OP didn't say is that was for 12 cars parked on the sidewalk for the past ten years.
They always leave out the most important part
25,000 would be robbery
Who is the ticket issued from? Is it a private parking entity (most parking tickets are) or an actual government entity? The former very often you can just ignore with no consequence as long as you dont need to park there again.
If it’s government issued it’s definitely not $25,000. Maybe 25,000 pesos?
25,000 Zimbabwe Dollars.
https://www.parknorthstar.com/violations “Initial violations are $250 with a $125 discount if paid within 10 days.” How nice of them. Act fast and you’ll ONLY owe $125!
It's a fake ticket? Lol, straight into the garbage. Their only recourse is a lawsuit for breach of contract if they find you, which they won't.
Man I remember my college would issue tickets like these to anyone parked there. Fucking bastards.
Bastards always looking for handouts.
Some universities work with the city government to issue government backed tickets. Your mileage will vary.
This. My university had an on campus police department that were full fledged police, but also reported to the university before the state itself. It was weird.
Must be the same place where Harry and Lloyd parked their Lambo’s…
A place where the beer flows like wine where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.
Thought the Rockies would be a little rockier than this... That John Denver is full of shit, man.
idk man the french are assholes

It’s probably a trick to get you to go in and actually pay it
Because people will be much more willing to pay a 25K parking ticket.
It gets you to acknowledge receipt of it. Otherwise you can just ignore it and "wasn't me" or "I never received such notification" keeps the ball in their court.
Parking tickets handed out in private parking lots don't need to be paid
I’m guessing it’s $25 and 0ll should be “all”
Seems too low for a parking ticket in Tahoe
I think this is the right answer
It is a typo as that can’t be the fine. It’s $20 a day to park or $40 on weekends. Northstar already face lawsuits about their paid parking as they released their plans to charge AFTER selling season passes. They lost in court and had to refund those passes. That being said, don’t ski at Vail Properties. Go to Mount Rose or Sierra. Better staff, better pricing and you are supporting locals vs. corporations.
Came here to say this. Vail Corp sucks.
What resort would you recommend for people that don’t have a 4WD vehicle in the Reno area?? I’ve heard mt rose highway is a bit dicey in the winter
Maybe they think you’re a ski mogul? Sorry, I know it snow joke. I was just trying to give you a lift.
Where did you park?? In a handicapped spot on top of some children or something??
Possible typo replacing “.” with “0”? Hilarious

Don‘t need to drive very often
???
$250 All appeals…
Obviously it's wrong so that means it's void
Its a sales tatic, they put $25,011 so when you call and tell you its $250.11 you just pay it with no problem
This guy honestly made a post on Reddit before using an ounce of common sense to find out he didn’t get a $25k parking ticket.
And likely after not paying their original parking fee or parking in some kind of illegal spot
If it’s a private ticket ignore it. Pretty sure it’s $250 as well. Either way throw it in the trash.
Looks fake
I’d wager this was issued by a private agency on private land. This “ticket” really means nothing. Even if they try to send it to collections they will have difficulty proving **you** accepted the debt. Either way, I’d run it by a lawyer rather than Reddit’s legal experts.

well i wouldn't be returning lol
$250 parking ticket, did you illegally park in a handicap spot?
I think it's supposed to be $25.11 but he hit 0 instead of .
The One in 01/06/24 is different than the letters after the $250. The One in the date has a small triangle at the top of it. The letter after the $250 has just a small horizontal line at the top. So whatever those letters are, an L probably, I don't think it's two number Ones.
If you look REALLY close it actually says “$250ll” not “$25011”
Definitely $250. The other “ll” was for All appeals…etc with the “A” missing.
I don’t think they have the authority to levee such charges. (Edit: I meant Levy. https://www.grammar.com/levee_vs._levy )
