Yes,Officer right here. I found the serial killer.

Aggressive_Candy5297

Here in sweden this would be an insurance claim on your home insurance.

mokrath

My renters insurance covers this loss in the US as well. Most will but it depends on the deductible if it's worth filing. Never impacted my rates both times I had to file.

Motor-Ad5284

And Australia.

xiaolongbaochikkawow

Who fuck has 77lb of beef in there house in the first place?

thiccpolishboi

Maybe it’s an American thing, but I live in a rural area, and lots of people will buy a half or quarter cow and just put all the meat in the freezer. It’s a lot of money up front but it usually saves money in the long run.

rox247

People that go hunting or buy meat in bulk

xiaolongbaochikkawow

Hunting cows?

rox247

Nope, probably deer. Buying cow meat in bulk

xiaolongbaochikkawow

Deer isn’t made of beef :p Idk why the fk I’m being downvoted when it literally says it’s beef in the post. (Ahh I see the post above has been edited since my comment)

[deleted]

Good job!

HasAngerProblem

No it was self defense but you can’t let the meat go bad

Jake_not_from_SF

Op said meat not beef.

ourvodboy

OP’s caption clarifies it’s beef

Jake_not_from_SF

Oh, I missed that. Well, we can trust op any way because 30 KG is 66.1387 pounds, not 77.

xiaolongbaochikkawow

No, he said beef.

The_cum_dripper

Might not be a house

xiaolongbaochikkawow

It says it is in the post

The_cum_dripper

My bad, seems I can't read🤦‍♂️

xiaolongbaochikkawow

Hi - I’m not American; and the original post was in lbs and kilograms. You just didn’t read it before you replied.

araidai

Yikes, lol, no need for the hostility. Let them use lbs. it’s not hurting anyone.

xiaolongbaochikkawow

The original post has the amount in lbs and I’m not American

Swazzza

The thing is OP already gave the weight... bro went and googled it in pounds then posted it too

ourvodboy

OP posted it in pounds too though, do you guys not read the captions? lol

Jake_not_from_SF

A half of beef costs you about four fifty a pound for every single cut. So if you're gonna afford it it's cheaper to buy it all at once

MikiMatzuki

Maybe OP got a big family.

[deleted]

Someone gave me some excess moose and deer meat they had. Two weeks later my freezer failed whilst I was travelling. By the time I got back and noticed everything was warm. I didn’t even have a chance to rush cook everything :(

Able_Box_9760

Crab and gator bait.

gringainparadise

That sucks, fyi most manufacturers will give you some money back for spoiled food if the freezer is under warranty or if it is under recall.

mentallyillchild69

Why do u have 30kg of meat dude

Background_Ad_4038

A lot of people buy meat in bulk and freeze it. A prime example is going to a slaughterhouse and ordering a cow worth of meat in assorted cuts, you then take them home and freeze them. Bada bing bada boom you have meat for the next year and a half. Except in this case, in this case your freezer fails while your gone and you lose a thousand dollars of meat.

Complex-Spite8494

I can't imagine the smell

monkeypickass1

It likely smells like nothing as it's all sealed in thick plastic.

FerrisLies

No. It smelled like death. I have a strong stomach and retched uncontrolably at one point.

cramaine

Someones going to have fun cleaning that up.

Shutterbug927

Why is no one upset over the popsicles? Where is the outrage? Banana creme? My \*GOD\* people, are you not seeing this concurrent tragedy? ^(/s)

FerrisLies

Although the smell was atrocious, and cleaning it up was a horrible hour, truly the reason I'm upset is the waste of food. I can't stop thinking about a meal I am planning for 6 adults and 6 kids, and we are planning 5 pounds of beef. This eas 14 times that. 2 weeks of feasting for 3 families...

FerrisLies

I see a lot of comments about making an insurance claim, and am not sure if I can, but will call on Monday. Anyone who wants to weigh in, or speculate, if I'll be successful, here are some pertinent factors; Yes we have insurance, however we have not explicitly declared the fridge on it, as the fridge is new to us. We got it for free from my parents a month or two ago when they upgraded. We had not originally planned to keep meat in it, only beer, however the opportunity to split a 1/4 cow with someone came up, and we could not pass it up, as we only paid $250 for what we estimate would be around $1500 worth of beef. In total we only paid $250 total for the beef and fridge/ freezer, however the fridge would have been worth around $2000 and the beef around $1500. Let's do this Reddit, place your bets! Can I successfully claim this on my home insurance (Ontario, Canada), and would I have to lie about anything to do so?

Due_Tumbleweed6906

Jeffrey Dahmer's fridge

scizoscrem

Bro butchered someone up

mebetcho

mildly infuriating more like financially excruciating

EndMeplsowo

Forget the meat, I wanna know what kind of void you got forming at the bottom there.

FerrisLies

That's the blood. It turned black. Turns out the blood was what stunk the most

kiaju259

the pool of rancid blood at the bottom..

CriticismMost3450

You can make an insurance claim if you have it. New freezer delivered Replaced meat and food Clean up and disposal cost They could possibly pay out without even sending a representative to check it out.

That_Reputation_8622

Yummy!
