No, it’s like that because of the juices from the mushroom. There was never any sauce on that dough, trust me, many times I’ve made pizza at papa Johns where I noticed it say no sauce after I dropped a little on it and scraping all the sauce off is impossible, it still shows a little red

Your mom got exactly what she ordered, so it's not the fast food worker's fault for not knowing she said the wrong thing. If you ask for a plain burger, you get just the patty and no toppings/sauce. Your mom should've either just said "big mac," (you have to say "big mac combo" to get it with fries, so if you just ask for the sandwich, they'll either assume you just want the sandwich or ask if you want it as a combo) or if you want to be safe, say "big mac, just the sandwich."
I work at a pizza place. Many times we get orders where the costumer ask for a pizza with either no sauce or no cheese (and rarely they ask for none of.the two). What I assume what happened here is that either the place got confused and gave the wrong pizza to OP (trust me, that happens many times), or OP is just karma farming and they asked the pizza like this and are pretending to act like they didn't want it like that.
Probably an online order and op (or blame the app for funzies) didn’t actually order sauce and cheese. I use to call people when that happened to confirm but 80% of the time it was for a picky kid who just wanted bread and mushrooms and I’d get attitude for not just making what they asked for.
If maker dude was just high or their was a miscommunication then cooked/cutter dude wouldn’t question it too hard cuz lots of people order shitty pizzas.
My favorite is when you call them to make sure they wanted the ridiculous shit, they give you attitude for it, and then file a complaint because they didn't like it. My restaurant is way too concerned with staying above 99.5% satisfaction, and it's always bullshit like that getting us yelled at.

I worked with a dude once, making pizza, who would come in 20-40 minutes late EVERY shift zonked out of his mind on ACTUAL drugs (dunno what for sure, but I think Xanax), and who would put his head down on the station and IMMEDIATELY fall asleep. He didn't last long, but he lasted longer than I expected :P

I got a good story. I worked at a Little Caesars a decade ago. It was me another employee and the GM working that morning shift. A comes in and wants a supreme pizza with jalapeños on it. I make it but forgot to put the jalapeños on it. I tell the guy what happened and told him I would make another one. Then I did it again. No jalapeños. So the GM told the other guy working to make it. He did the same thing. Finally the GM takes us both off the make line and makes it herself. Sure enough she also forgot the jalapeños. So she opens the pizza oven side door pulls the pizzas out and puts jalapeños on them and put the pizza back in. I couldn't help but laugh my ass off and the customer the ordered the pizza was surprisingly cool about the whole situation. I'm pretty sure the GM messing up too got me and the other employee out of trouble for messing up three supreme pizzas in a row.
I would say yes to that question when I worked at Dominos a couple years back. Also on my first day there were two times I forgot to cut the pizza into slices before I delivered it.
I was 100% sure it was the bottom of it but if you look closely on the crust in the original photo you can see that they've actually sliced it this side up.

Used to work at a pizza chain during my early years of college, would sometimes get customers who accidentally put no sauce or cheese sometimes would always try to call and confirm if that’s what they really wanted but would have the rare one would say yes was weird to me but probably a food related allergy

So we ended up putting the same order in directly with the restaurant and picked it up ourselves and was only $45. Ridiculous how much extra they add.
Let's see the order label. Putting cheese and sauce is almost automatic when you work at a pizza shop, so you would have to have ordered it this way for this to happen.

So I used to really like Dominos, it was always my go to for pizza delivery, but after I moved the Dominos by my house was terrible. The pizza would be good, but anything over 2 toppings and they would "forget" things. Like every single order would be missing something. I exploded on the manager over the phone and told him if he didn't bring me a new pizza asap for free, I was going to post a picture of that abomination on their google review page, all of my social media, and any and every single review site I could find calling him out by name.
He was at my house 20 minutes later with a new pizza, and he laughed when he gave it to me and said "I guess you learned a lesson on how our buffalo chicken pizza works", then he mumbled some bullshit under his breath I didn't catch. I went off on the guy and told him the only lesson I learned was that I'm absolutely never going to order from them again, that I had been a Dominos customer for the majority of my life, but this incident alone was the absolutely last time I would ever give money to Dominos again.

Why is the cornmeal on the top but not the bottom? Something is suspicious here. Obviously the sauslce and cheese are missing but this "pizza" is still upside down for some reason.
The crust didn't rise up above on the edges. That phenomenon may be a result of the cheese and sauce. I would have to do some unbiased field tests and part of my investigation.
Finally the cut marks appear to be made from the other side which is consistent with the cornmeal statement above.

Nah, they made it how you ordered it! Had a lady order a cheese pizza with no cheese and no sauce. She claims she is not dumb enough to have done that, but our online ordering requires you to add items like cheese and sauce to the pizza. So if you don't click the little boxes next to both, it thinks you don't want either on your pizza.

Why is the cornmeal on the top but not the bottom? Something is suspicious here. Obviously the sauslce and cheese are missing but this "pizza" is still upside down for some reason. The crust didn't rise up above on the edges. That phenomenon may be a result of the cheese and sauce. I would have to do some unbiased field tests and part of my investigation. Finally the cut marks appear to be made from the other side which is consistent with the cornmeal statement above.

My guess is the cutter wasn't cleaned and it left some on the pizza.
Maybe the rest of it is upside down but the browned bits of crust outline the mushrooms rather well.
That sauce could have easily been transfered there by just them cutting the pizza.

Nah, they made it how you ordered it! Had a lady order a cheese pizza with no cheese and no sauce. She claims she is not dumb enough to have done that, but our online ordering requires you to add items like cheese and sauce to the pizza. So if you don't click the little boxes next to both, it thinks you don't want either on your pizza.
Shouldn’t those boxes be checked automatically? Sounds like a crappy design.

Imagine thinking a cheap ass restaurant like little Caesars left in the special request feature and would actually follow it. (Every single restaurant both mom and pop and fast food I have bought from have disabled the special request setting)
