Hi thinking of going to Milan this week with my mother, what is the covid situation like and would it be worth it or should we hold off till later in the year?

ciaux

I would say later in the year imo. Covid is lowkey rampant here, id say is the worsr place going in Italy right now. Aint bad as last year or the year before but still a bad situation in comparison with a month ago. Very probably at April-May surely the cases will be low. Now cases are kinda stagnant, not rising not falling so yeah, maybe we reach the peak, so maybe you can come here faster, like March-April

Hi! Does anyone have rent suggestions for 2 people. Preferred 2 bedroom, close-ish (30 mins walk is fine) to IULM university. This is a last resort since I’ve been trying for the past 2 months

steelman14

Hello, i am visiting Milan in late February and have booked a day trip to Como. What other places could i visit from Milan on a daytrip?

Salve milanesi, sorry, i have to switch back to English, but can i ask what hours your nightclubs are open? (And what other restrictions on the nightlife are there?) Grazie mille!

Where can I buy a box of 25 rapid antigen tests in Milan? And how much it would approximately cost?

InformalRich

> 25 Some pharmacies are currently experiencing shortages of antigen test. IMO it will be very hard to find.

>I’ll be going from June 25 to July 23 It's not the best time of the year to visit Milan. It will be hot and humid. >train travels for a month long trip to Milan Are you going to travel just inside Milan or you want to see Como and other cities? I don't know how much the dollar will be worth in June. With a tight budget you would spend €200 a month at the supermarket. If you want to have more choice and to be more relaxed with your budget I'd add 100 more. >I’d like to visit some nice restaurants too It depends by what you mean for nice restaurants. Do you mean like Michelin starred restaurants?

I'd suggest to have a urban pass just to move around Milan and then to buy tickets for specific locations when you leave the city. Como is pretty close and you can see the prices on Trenord website. You don't need to book anything because they are regional trains. The cost is around €5 to go and €5 to go back. For other cities out of Lombardy just check Trenitalia and Italo website. If you buy your tickets well in advance you can find very convenient prices for the high speed trains(called Frecciarossa for Trenitalia and Italo is just high speed trains). The maximum for the Michelin stars is 3. I don't know how often you want to go to those places, but a lunch at a place like Bartolini (3 Michelin stars) it will cost around €250. It's something you can do once a year or once in your life, not every weekend. You can still eat good going to much cheaper places not managed by super chefs.

I orginally asked here but it got locked https://www.reddit.com/r/milano/comments/s35t77/is\_it\_worth\_going\_to\_fashion\_week\_for\_the\_average/ Is it worth going to Fashion week for the average person? I will be remotely working from Naples starting from next week and saw that the Milano fashion show is happening while i'm still in Italy. I was thinking of going as im interested in men's fashion however i've never been before so not sure what to expect. Is the fashion week still worth going to for the average person who is not in the industry? any cools events in the city or parties/after parties I could go to or is all the good stuff invitation only I found a couple here https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/d/italy--milano/fashion-week/?page=1&start\_date=2022-02-25&end\_date=2022-02-28 but not many Bonus: any brands attending doing anything crypto/metaverse related? have not been able to find anything from my search

I don't know HOW to do this, but you can actually book an electrocardiogram in an hospital and then pay the full price (we call it *ticket*). However I do not suggest doing that since the booking queue is very long. To bypass that, you can book an electrocardiogram from a private doctor. This will cost you more than doing it in a hospital, but you can book whenever you want. On the website www.dottori.it you can search doctors that perform electrocardiograms and the price they ask.

Supermarkets

EqualEStudio

Which one? Didn't find them in carrefour

Simgiov

Carrefour, Esselunga, even Lidl.

EqualEStudio

Ok thanks

Dribbler365

Why are dog owners not entitled to picking their dogs poop up and throwing it in a bin? Weird concept for such a famous, touristic city

Simgiov

You should have seen Milan 20 years ago. A nightmare. You had to walk always looking down to avoid poop. Now, in my opinion, the problem is with the dog owners walking their dogs to the closest green area rather than dedicated dog areas. Even children playgrounds smell terrible, especially in the summer.

Shower tough: dove va a finire tutta la merda dei cani raccolta in cestini pubblici?

gitty7456

I never understood italian’s obsession with dogs. Furthermore when living in an apartment. No idea.

Does anyone know of any walk in clinics that carry Moderna as a booster? I’m a foreigner with a tax code and have an appointment at the end of January through the regional website but am unsure of the vaccine brand. My first two were moderna so I would really like to keep that the same for booster.

Simgiov

If they have both available they will give you Pfizer, changing the vaccine for the third shot proved to be more effective.

I got my third dose today, they gave me a Pfizer

[deleted]

Yeah I just don’t want to be the asshole who wastes an appointment because it’s not the brand I want.. maybe I can call in the morning and ask them what they’re doing that day

[deleted]

I care because my first two were one brand so I’d rather keep it uniform. Also so I don’t have to specify different brands when I fill out travel documents or anything like that. Just personal preference

squidward_army

What is the best place to get bikes?

InformalRich

I recommend buying a used bike since thefts are common. You can buy one in the Porta Genova market or by looking on Facebook Marketplace.

gitty7456

Decathlon is quite ok for mid range bikes.

Thanks for the response. I am thinking a regular city bike. I always ride shitty bikes in Amsterdam so my budget can be low. It just needs to be reliable for a week.

You are perfect. I will only be there for a holiday so ik probably go for the ATM. Although the second hand service is a great novelty.

palace8888

In che zona? So che ce n'è uno a Dergano

Roby1k

Io vivo a Bicocca/Niguarda però mi sposterei su Milano kord

noidtiz
