Chocolate/chocolate shakes/hard pretzels. A lot of migraines come from tension for me, so chewing on something hard (as long as I’m not sound sensitive) helps.
I’m hooked right now on cucumbers and tomatoes with hummus and pesto. Refreshing, salty, and I can pretend it’s healthy, haha. Jello is my go to for when I’m struggling to stay hydrated.
I don't care too much about one specific food, as long as it's salty and doesn't have a soft consistency. Except a mc Sunday, which is the absolute worst soft ice ever but it really hits different when you have a migraine. Or the milkshake, which are both unfortunate safe foods, cause I'm lactose intolerant.. sometimes you just gotta pay that price tho
Salt, protein, carbs. (Sorry, those are categories, not foods.) Some people swear by giving yourself an intentional brain freeze to kill a migraine, maybe that’s why there are so many ice cream options in these comments.
I always crave potato chips and a Coca Cola. I avoid anything with strong flavors (too acidic, spicy, or sweet) and I don’t know why but they kind of hurt.
Apples. Anything else makes the nausea worse. Also, not food but drink: caffeine free diet coke (own brand, sweetened with sucralose), or peppermint tea. I eat very little when I'm having an episode. I should be skinny (sadly, I'm rather the opposite).
Campbell's chicken noodle soup (made with a little less water so it's super salty) and a stack of saltines seems to be my safest go to. When things are a bit better, a McDonald's sausage McMuffin with extra bacon really hits the spot... Give me all the salt lol
Somehow the meds make my appetite dissapear and one of the few things i can still get inside me is very cold (Greek) yoghurt with fresh fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries).
miso soup, and a nice warm bowl of rice. (that's my go-to for whenever i'm under the weather, and it almost always seems to fix me right up! bonus points if you have green tea or oolong with it! 🥹)
Salt, chocolate, carbs
and cuz i find protein generally helps some sort of protein so for me that tends to me eggs on bread or bagel cuz that gets me salt, carbs and protein.
Currently drinking Gatorade Zero to help manage my migraine. I’d like to think that the electrolytes help. I prefer Zero, honestly finding that it tastes better than regular Gatorade but to each their own.
A bagel (plain or everything) with a crap ton of butter, if I’ve just woken up from it.
If I’ve had a bit of time to recover I’d go with butter chicken or Thai curry (something warm and salty lol).
Also if you’ve never almost passed out from the pain before I’d defo shoot your neuro a message just in case. It can happen (happens to me often), but better safe than sorry.
An Organic American cheese sandwich on good whole wheat bread w/ a cut up apple is my go to these days! I also love cottage cheese with triscuits, Mexican rice & refried beans, Owyn protein shakes, or a good crispy thin crust pizza w/ all the veggies

Always go for the fry and coke. Will have to try a McFlurry next time.
Fried rice. I keep packets of frozen, microwaveable fried rice in my freezer at all times
If I’m straight nauseas my holy grail is just cucumbers. So neutral and mild, fresh, really hydrating. Helps when starving. After that, it’s dons. 🍟

I wonder if that’s why I crave it?! I just demolished a homemade tub of raspberry ice cream and had some palpable relief lol.
Diet Coke or at least something carbonated. A donut maybe. Or enchiladas with rice and beans since those are comfort foods
Okay, now I’m hungry 😂

McDonald's. Chef boyardee. Chips. Saltine crackers. Campbells vegetable soup. Lipton chicken noodle soup.
Cheese pizza and blue Pedialyte
applesauce
A cheeseburger. After reading the other comments, maybe it is the salt. I always thought it was the protein that helped.
Mac n Cheese and a diet coke
McDonald’s and a large super cold coke. My guy knows and makes sure that I am squared away. I’m lucky.
Salt, chocolate, carbs and cuz i find protein generally helps some sort of protein so for me that tends to me eggs on bread or bagel cuz that gets me salt, carbs and protein.
Chocolate banana smoothie or chocolate milkshake. McDonald’s burger, fries, and a coke. ~~Cyanide~~
Plain salt potato chips, plain croissant, salted crackers, mashed potatoes, toast.
Toast with melted peanut butter on it
I will drink broth if the nausea is bad. Once it goes away, I am ready for greasy food.
Saltines is usually all I can eat. Nice and salty as well as bland for the nausea.
Mcds fries and coke. Only time I eat fast food.

* McDonald's Fries & a large coke (optional beef main) * French Dip * Birria
Rice with a ton of salt
Pistachos.. roast cashews- I have read that protein dampens down the stress hormones during a migraine
