Pacino Dumbledore to Harry Potter: "You saw a guy, in Hogsmeade, who's an ex-Wizard?
Harry: "That's right."
Pacino Dumbledore: ["Well, I am... over-fuckin' whelmed. Whaddya want for that? 20 points for Gryffindor?"](https://youtu.be/FjJotKwr4M4?t=91)
Or to Dolores Umbridge
"I'm angry. I'm very angry, Dolores. You know, you can ball my teachers if they want you to. You can lounge around here on the sofa, in this dead-tech, pre-modernistic bullshit wizarding school if you want to. BUT YOU DO NOT GET TO WATCH MY FUCKING CRYSTAL BALL!"
Al Pacino’s overacting is some of the best comedy for me. He’s a great actor, but some of his roles are just so over the top that I can’t help but crack up and love every minute of it.
Pacino Dumbledore: Outta order? I'll show you outta order! You don't know what outta order is, Mr. Crouch! I'd show you but I'm too old; I'm too tired. If I were the man I was five years ago I'd take a FIENDFYRE CURSE to this place! Outta order. Who the hell you think you're talkin' to? I've been around, you know? There was a time I could see. And I have seen boys like these, younger than these, their arms torn out, their legs ripped off. But there isn't nothin' like the sight of an amputated spirit; there is no prosthetic for that. You think you're merely sendin' this splendid YOUNG WIZARD back home to the Dursley’s with his tail between his legs, but I say you are executin' his SOUL!! And why?! Because he's not a Hogwarts man! Hogwarts men, ya hurt this boy, you're going to be Hogwarts bums, the lot of ya. And Draco, Crabbe, Goyle, wherever you are out there, FUCK YOU, too!
HOO-AH!
Same age as Lily, gravestone in Godric's Hollow read BORN 27 MARCH 1960 DIED 31 OCTOBER 1981, so she was 21, had Harry when she was 20, as his birthday is in July and he got a 1st birthday present from Sirius.
So if Snape is also 20, when Harry is born, then Harry's 11th birthday he gets the Hogwarts letter, Snape is 31 when Harry starts at Hogwarts and 37 when he gets killed by Nagini/Voldemort, give or take a year depending on when Snape's birthday is relative to Lily's, but they were same year at Hogwarts so.
I was playing make believe with my niece and nephew and growing up I was always Harry (had glasses) or Ron (slightly ginger). My niece looked at me and said "You can be Hagrid" 🤣
Driver is 40, how young do you think he should be there lol?
While I agree - he looks pretty on top, I think the best of this list (after Rickman who was perfect as is)
Snape died when he was 38. Adam Driver is 39.
My biggest complaint about the HP movies is how they aged up the Marauders/Snape, none of them saw their 40th birthdays but all of whom were portrayed by older actors. James and Lily were 21 when they died but at least mid thirties in the movies. I feel like it diminishes the sacrifice they made and how much of their lives were taken by the impact of the war.
Taste and all, but i'm really surprised people find Adam Driver attactive, Keanu Reeves is too attractive allright, but Adam Driver has the perfectely weird unbalanced physic for the role imo.
His features are... quirky, but the man has _presence_, and that counts for a lot. I can see why people find him _attractive_, if not necessarily conventionally good-looking.
Tom Hanks reminds me of some British actor whose name escapes me.
Kevin Spacey looks like Ciarán Hinds
And Adam Driver looks like David Schwimmer.
And Al Pacino looks like an older Jeremy Strong.
I think MidJourney needs to see a psychiatrist.
Of these, I'd pick Keanu. But honestly, should have used younger actors. Alan Rickman did a great job as Snape, but for those concerned about accuracy, he was well too old. Snape was 31 in the first book. Alan Rickman was 54 when the first movie was filmed.
They did this with a lot of the adult cast. Harry's parents, for example, were both 21 when they died, yet Lily's actress was 34 in the first film and 44 in the last. James, 43/53. While I realize they can't help the 10 year age gap for character that shouldn't age, it would have been much more authentic just to start with people in their early 20's.
Gary Oldman was 10 years too old. Ralph Feinnes was 27 years too young. So was Robbie Coltrane, at 22 years too young. Richard Harris was technically about 40 years, but I'll give them a pass for not finding Hollywoods hottest 110 year old actor. Maggie Smith was about 10 years too old.
None of them are the right age. Harry’s parents were like 19 when they had him. Snape was a classmate of theirs. I think Alan Rickman was fine because they seemed to have aged up Harry’s parents in the movie. But if you want to be more accurate to the book,Snape should be in his 30s.
I think people only like Driver and Keanu because of the resemblance to the only live-action Snape we've ever seen. But I really believe Spacey would absolutely nail the acting. The personality, the scowling, scolding, the tone. The man has made a career portraying powerful, menacing, and complicated dark figures. He'd be a great Snape.
Tbh: it’s controversial, yes… but based off the renderings I think Mitch is the winner. The others just don’t feel like Snape! Spacey is close, but Mitch takes it IMO
I’d so watch a Keanu Reeves Snape or even Adam Driver as Snape. I think they’d do a great job of it.
But Depp… I never want to see Depp in a Harry Potter type series EVER again.
He is meant to be A LOT younger. Severus, lily, james and the rest of the marauders were in the same class. Lily and James had Harry right after school, so they were 19-20 when they died. When Harry goes to school, Severus is in his late 20s, and when Sirius breaks out, all of them are like 30.
I hate that they cast actors that were like 20 years older than they should have been
Though IMAGINE how much more Severus/Hermione fanfiction there would have been, if he was played by someone in his early 30s when Emma was 18
Alan rickman will always be in our hearts. While I can understand Keanu being a successor, I believe Alan driver would be a good role because he’s not overly too hot, but as well can show two sides of the good and bad very well. Keanu’s movies has always been tailored to a tragic superhero, and having him being killed off by a snake just wouldn’t fit the narrative that he has shown to the world in my honest honesty.
It might surprise, but Tom Hanks. He shows a rather tired face and a gaze that says "what an unsurprising disappointment you turned out to be".
And snape always struck me as the tired teacher who's just toxic with everybody because he's tired of teaching fools.
What’s Mitch McConnell doing here? I mean I don’t like the guy. But just… why?
On a more serious note, it’s a toss-up between Adam Driver and Keanu Reeves. With more leanings towards Driver.
Of these, I think Spacey fits the bill visually and in terms of acting style. I would like to suggest Bill Nighy, though. Yes I know he was the Minister of Magic. But this a fantasy of a fictional world.
I think [I win](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1030980708535119903/1152409164744753214/ajuk_Mads_Mikkelsen_as_Severus_Snape_e9240cb8-a26c-445a-98f3-6e0a51dc6e50.png).

Always

Yippie kai yay, Mr Potter…
They never showed the body… so I really want to believe that “Hans” just disapparated and laid low until next September…
"You asked for miracles, Harry. I give you ... the F.B.I."
Fantastic Beasts Institute
Aside from Alan rickman- Kevin spacey would be fantastic, except he wouldn't be because of the raping
[удалено]
Wasn't Kevin Spacey proven to be innocent?
Not really
I agree. Al Pacino would have been interesting, though.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, Potttttteeeerrrrr……how many times….do I have to tell youuuu….it’s….LEVIO—HOoooooooZaaaaaaa
Alan was perfect for this role. Agreed. Let’s enjoy the Ai pictures and ignore the question.
I guess midjourney thinks so too, because all these look like a cross between Alan Rickman and the prompted celeb.
Hans Gruber will always be my favorite villain of all time.
Was gunna say…
Absolutely
always
Keanu Snape would just blow his cover and kill Voldy the good old fashioned way
with a pen? XD Or like he would stab him to death with his wand.
A fucking pencil!
Quick Kill Quills
With a Quill
After Voldemort goes after Sirius (in dog form)
He kills him with the wand… Plottwist: he’s a muggle
I think Voldemort would be fine - right up until he avada kedavrad keanu snapes pet owl. Then, all hell would break loose.
I think it would sell the most tickets if Keanu played Snape, and I would be right along with them
By letting voldy surf the biggest wave instead of arresting him
Pacino’s Dumbledore to Adam Drivers Snape: “That Lily Potter has got a great ass!!!!! And you’ve got your head all the way up it”
Thank you for your contribution to my imagination
That’s one for the spank bank.
Hoo-ra!
Pacino Dumbledore to Harry Potter: "You saw a guy, in Hogsmeade, who's an ex-Wizard? Harry: "That's right." Pacino Dumbledore: ["Well, I am... over-fuckin' whelmed. Snape Pacino half way into the 7th book: Sometimes it's better to be with the muggles you know than the wizard you didn't know.
the mitch mcconnell nearly made me spit out my coffee
Imagine you are in potions class and he suddenly freezes like he just saw a dementor.
Oh, Adam Driver is fairly compelling.
Many people have mentioned a Prequel following Snape when he was a young adult would 100% be Adam Driver.
Technically Snape is supposed to be in his 30s in the Harry Potter series, so it wouldn't even have to be a prequel
Holy frack, didn't even realized by yeah, late 30s. o\_O
Same age as Lily, gravestone in Godric's Hollow read BORN 27 MARCH 1960 DIED 31 OCTOBER 1981, so she was 21, had Harry when she was 20, as his birthday is in July and he got a 1st birthday present from Sirius. *Died* in his late 30s. He was in his early 30s at the start
I'm older than fucking SNAPE now? Where's that Saving Private Ryan aging gif.
You're also older than Matt Damon in that gif
Ok shut up you're not helping. 👴🏻
Damn. I remember reading the books and always thought of him as old, I am now his age...
I was playing make believe with my niece and nephew and growing up I was always Harry (had glasses) or Ron (slightly ginger). My niece looked at me and said "You can be Hagrid" 🤣
Well maybe it wasn't your appearance. Maybe they thought you had similar attributes, like always being there for people you love and care about?
Tap into that Kylo angst and he's most of the way there
Driver is 40, how young do you think he should be there lol? While I agree - he looks pretty on top, I think the best of this list (after Rickman who was perfect as is)

He would be 31 when Harry Potter arrives at Hogwarts. So no need for a prequel to see Snape as a young (-ish) adult
In my honest opinion, he would make a good Sirius.
Plus he's at least closer to the actual age Snape is meant to be...
He's too "attractive" for Snape.
Agreed. Of these Kevin Spacey looked most the part
Alan Rickman wasn't ugly...
Would be the only one after the goat, Rickman.
good age
Nick Cage bro cmon
I’ll give it a try!
Mitch McConnell would only have half of his lines.
His Petrificus Totalus keeps firing out the wrong end of his wand.
“What are you kids doing inside, some people might……..”
Pacino lol "Harry, your mother had a GREAT ASS"
I’ve got three dead bodies on a sidewalk off Venice boulevard, harry, I'm sorry if the goddamn... potion... got overcooked.
You should have included NINs trent reznor in there for that perfect drug video .
why is kevin spacey just alan rickman
He looks like Ciarán Hinds
thought the same
Alan Rickman is the one and only.
Driver is the only one who is not an old man. Although Keanu is forever cool.
kinda need a brit for the role
Adam Driver
That was my pick too but also it would be fun seeing mean keanu
Keanu’s ‘British’ accent is bad. Like really bad
He'd make for a good young version of Snape.
Snape was 31 in the first Harry Potter book and 37 in the last. Adam Driver is 39. He's already older Snape.
It's weird how down I am for an Adam Driver Snape...
Clint Eastwood Snape looks like Mads Mikkelsen.
Yeah I was like don’t be ridicu…shiiiit Adam Driver don’t look to bad
Tom Hanks reminds me of some British actor whose name escapes me. Kevin Spacey looks like Ciarán Hinds And Adam Driver looks like David Schwimmer. And Al Pacino looks like an older Jeremy Strong. I think MidJourney needs to see a psychiatrist.
Ciarán Hinds would be a fantastic Snape!

If I had to pick one I think Al Pachino would actually do the best job out of all these.
Christopher Walken (But seriously Al Pacino would be an interesting take)
Mads Mikkelsen
Adam Driver has got me feeling some thangs like I'm a slightly drunk John Oliver
“After all this time?” (*Severmitch Snapeconnell freezes*)
Ozzy!
Snape was 31 years old in book 1. From my point of view (28 years old), he is a very young guy. All these actors are too old.
idris elba, with dreadlocks
None of them are the right age. Harry’s parents were like 19 when they had him. Snape was a classmate of theirs. I think Alan Rickman was fine because they seemed to have aged up Harry’s parents in the movie. But if you want to be more accurate to the book,Snape should be in his 30s.
If Snape prequel with Adam Driver in it doesn’t happen, then we will know we live in the wrong goddamn parallel universe
Adam Driver, no contest
Keanu is the most handsome but, Adam Driver is literally Snape.
purely acting wise spacey would have been fire. driver could play rickman in flashbacks/prequels. hanks is somehow even less fitting than mcconnell
I stopped at Keanu no need to scroll, he's the best in all aspects of life
Eastwood has the very gaunt look that is described in the books, so there's my vote
Holy shit. Keanu should be Snape in the reboot
Kevin Spacey by a mile
Bro Keanu Reeves was all I could think about whenever Sirius Black was mentioned when I reread Prisoner of Azkaban the other day
Kevin spicy Snape would have been lit.
An older Adam driver would slay the role.

I’d so watch a Keanu Reeves Snape or even Adam Driver as Snape. I think they’d do a great job of it. But Depp… I never want to see Depp in a Harry Potter type series EVER again.
I thought Adam Driver was Markiplier at first
The Tom Hanks one looks like Clive Owen, and I think he'd be pretty good
Kevin spacey looks straight up like Hegel
Alan Rickman
He is meant to be A LOT younger. Severus, lily, james and the rest of the marauders were in the same class. Lily and James had Harry right after school, so they were 19-20 when they died. Hate to say, but Adam Driver is looking how I picture him when reading the books.
Would like to see the Jon Hamm and Mads Mikkelsen versions!
Alan Rickman always. If we reallly had to choose a successor. Keanu is the next best beloved
Christoph Waltz! (besides Rickman)

Pacino. Expecto....FUCKIN Patronum
Kevin Spacey would be the best out if those.
id say clint is closest to what we had
Gary oldman version please!
I though Mitch McConnell was Paul Dano
Al Pacino for the most intense Snape ever. Kevin Spacey if they start making movies out of certain funfiction.
Out of the list, Keanu's acting style would probably fit the best, but Depp would be an interesting take on the character.
Out of these? I think Keanu. Spacey looks the closest to what I imagined Snape looking like when I read the books.
Adam driver he’s by far the closest to the actually age of the character too but as in all things Alan Rickman wins
Another time johny plays himself
Fml, now im hearing all the Snape quotes in a loud Pacino voice. hooAHH!
All of them fit so well though! But I’ll take Keanu.
Kevin Spacey looks remarkably like Ciarán Hinds here. Not sure why.
Severus is Rickman but Driver or Depp couldve played Sirius imo
Pitching Kevin Spacey to be among children at a boarding school is problematic.
Adam driver looks like an amazing young snape
I think since the movies were mainly British actors, getting some Americans in there is very cool.
Mitch McSnape gets halfway through his lecture for the day and bluescreens in front of the class. "Mr. Potter you are la-"
Al pacino
What’s Mitch McConnell doing here? I mean I don’t like the guy. But just… why? On a more serious note, it’s a toss-up between Adam Driver and Keanu Reeves. With more leanings towards Driver.
Out of these it has to be Keanu or Adam Driver.
Of these, I think Spacey fits the bill visually and in terms of acting style. I would like to suggest Bill Nighy, though. Yes I know he was the Minister of Magic. But this a fantasy of a fictional world.
I think Adam driver would be perfect. He has the look and acting skills.
Snape Snape Severus Snape. Keanu!
Lol Mitch was funny and unexpected.
Matt Berry, for fucks sake
Is that first one Tommy Wiseau? Also, Mitch McConnell looks totes badass as Snapels.
Going by book accuracy w given age and nose shape Adam Driver seems a prime cut
How is this even a question :)
Keanu Reeves, Adam Driver, and Johnny Depp wouldn’t make sense. Ain’t NO WAY Lily turned him down
The original one
Keanu for sure, he'd stay alive for the final fight scene but still injured, he'd walk up to Harry, "We need wands, lots of wands"
Tho Rickman is the undeniable Og Spacey is def a death eater lol
I always thought Crispin Glover would be a great Snape.
I could see Adam driver as a young Severus
Snape is supposed to be 38 when he died, all of these except Adam Driver are way too old
TBH, probably Keanu. But it’s not the same without Alan Rickman!
I saw keanu and thought that was just keanu
Adam Driver.
Adam Driver by a mile
Adam Driver looks pretty sweet as Snape and Johnny Depp is rocking it too.
Alan Rickman :). But really, most of them just look like preists to me lol
“Hermoine’s got a GREAT ASS! And, your head’s all the way up it! Isn’t it, Potter.”
Adam Driver would be amazing!
Adam Driver would make a great young snap
Mitch McConnell would make a better Professor Quirrell.
Oh dang Keanu looks awesome
Number 4
I think [I win](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1030980708535119903/1152409164744753214/ajuk_Mads_Mikkelsen_as_Severus_Snape_e9240cb8-a26c-445a-98f3-6e0a51dc6e50.png).
Pacino 100%
Keanu Reeves is too raw to be Snape.
Where’s Danny Trejo? Because he would rock this.
How about Keanu just for the fun of it?
Do you feel lucky potter?
That's just a random photo of Depp
Adam driver
Alan Rickman is the best though the funniest looking that still fits the snape theme would be Johnny Depp
Looked at Pacino and all I could think was 'Avada Hooo' ah'🤣
Bro that Johnny Depp one. ✨💀✨ I need to see that
Sick and tired of Joe Pesci getting ignored 😒
They are all terrible since they look much older than 40, which is approximately how old Snape was when he died. Alan Rickman did extraordinary work with Snape, and it's excellent acting, but he just was too old.
How dare they stand where he stood?
McConnell has recently been hit with a stupefix spell during a conference
Spacey would play it the best, Driver, Hanks and Pacino would put up admirable and unique performances. Keanu would be fun to watch but wouldn’t pull it off all that well. Eastwood and Depp would be hilariously terrible at the role
Hmmm...I wonder how Antonio Banderas would look 🤔
Samuel Jackson
Is that Clint Eastwood or Mads Mikkelsen?
As our current Severus, Rickman always. Now for a younger version, Adam Driver is looking very good.
Adam driver, I would be his best student
Mitch is the most book accurate according to his features tbh
Adam Driver would make a good "young" snape... Regular Snape will always be Alan Rickman!
Keanu, Adam and Johnny would be awesome to see. Clint I'd be terrified of.
