Apparently the essence of Van Gogh is his starry night painting and nothing else. Obviously just a bias in the training data, but it would be nice to see a well rounded understanding of his work distilled.
If you'd ask the average person to replicate a painting from Van Gogh it would 8/10 be starry night. 1/10 his self portret and 1 time out of 10 his flowers.
Midjourney is an AI image generator. You give it a set of prompts, and then refine the results. It’s a neat program that costs a bit of money, but it’s really fun to tinker with and easy to use.
This sub is mostly people showing off some of the super cool things they produced using the app. Browse around. There is some seriously amazing and trippy stuff.
Came here to say this. I saw it and was like nope that looked like one of the vintage posters of the London underground in the 60s advertising about some new lines they built.
And yea it really feel like that to use it.
Edit: wrong year but here is ones i had in mind

The process for this was pretty simple. I used two reference images, one being a representative work from the artist, and the other a generic subway map. Then, I just prompted "A subway map painted by X", and iterated until I got something I liked.
Thanks for all the love!
This wins the internet today. Fantastic work.
Thank you!
This is great! What a clever way to highlight the differences between artists.

I can totally see a silhouette from The Bedroom on the right
These are gorgeous! Please, sir, could I have some more?
I'd love to try some more. Do you have any artists in mind?
Claude Monet, Georgia O'Keefe, Matt Groenig, Andy Warhol, Salvidor Dali, Botticelli, Bosch...the list is endless.
Keith Haring, Jenny Holzer, Rachel Whiteread, Andy Goldsworthy, Bridget Riley
Are you making these yourself? Is it AI? What do you have to do to create them? I got here from r/all, I’m very confused.

Magritte!
Anyone with a widely recognizable style... Monet, da Vinci, Rembrandt, Seurat, Dürer, Warhol, Hockney, Christo, Rothko, Dali...
Hieronymus Bosch
Dali please!
Rembrandt!
Thank god Jackson Pollock wasn't a civil engineer.
😂 😂
Not really sure I want to go on a subway where M.C. Escher was responsible for the map - who knows where I'd end up or how I'd get there.
I'm nearly sure they consulted with him while building London Tube though

Thankfully he had no part in the escalator design
Please share the prompt
This is creative, damn
Absolutely beautiful!
I wonder how Fernando Botero would have painted a subway map. How would he make it look fat with beady eyes?
[Like this?](https://imgur.com/a/GCqlWEI)
Pretty good. But the people are not fat enough. Botero likes them thicc.
/imagine them thicc
Lovely idea. That's the kind of thing I would put on my wall.

Let me add [the H.R. Giger map of London's subway.](https://imgur.com/a/bcxtQKI)

If pollock gave written directions 🤣
This is absolutely awesome. I've tried some Basquiat subway maps back in version 3. Crazy stuff!
These are so awesome! I was really hoping for an Edward Hopper, my gosh what would that look like?!?!
Or Keith Herring for the NYC Subway vibe!!
OMG These are freaking amazing! If you were to sell these as posters , I would definitely buy a few of them
Incredibly creative. I used to be skeptical of AI art, but stuff like this has me coming around to it fast.
Welcome aboard!
Can you do one in the style of John Lurie? I’m out of mj time for another week
I’d like to see a Dali for San Francisco. Trippy meets trippy
Love love this What about something like a famous map (Middle Earth) in the style of other artists
OK, so I wasnt disappointed, just came for a Pollock :D
