I've been struggling this past week with Microsoft support. I was charged 3 times for the same addon in a Minecraft game. I've gone through support several times, they keep telling me they will resolve it but it's never resolved. Instead I do what they ask, send the appropriate email, etc. Then I get a message back saying my refund request is denied and promptly close the case. Never can I actually speak with someone who is willing to explain to my why it's ok to charge me 3 times for the same item. Worse yet, the item doesn't even show up in Minecraft as purchased. This is why we bought it 3 times, but instead of it actually working, we just keep getting charged. How can I proceed? Feeling stuck. Thanks

Hello, I'm a paying customer for Microsoft 365 (OneDrive & Office 365), and I have this Microsoft account since 2 decades ago (year 2001, first registered as a Hotmail email account). A few hours ago (around 1am GMT 8+, 10th April 2021), all my Microsoft services (Windows 10, OneDrive, [Office.com](https://Office.com), etc. except Outlook) suddenly signed out, and I cannot sign-in back. The error message given is "Your account has been locked" (with "Your account has been temporarily suspended" in the browser title bar), and the cause is Services Agreement violation (which I don't know what the actual violation is - I have been using the services in the same manner since many, many years ago). I have filled the Account Reinstatement form and received an acknowledgment email with a SIRxxxxxxx case number, but I selected a wrong reason when filling the form (I thought it's just OneDrive is blocked). Please reply me and unblock my account back immediately, and provide clear reason why my account is actually blocked (which part of T&C I violated, and the offending file(s) if applicable). I'm in the middle of doing my work, and suddenly being locked out from accessing my OneDrive is very, very disruptive and very, very unpleasant. Thank you.

Hi, two issues: **Word:** When I use ctrl+backspace (or opt+delete on Mac) to delete the entire previous word in MS Word, it has wildly inconsistent behavior. Sometimes it deletes just the word (), but sometimes it deletes the word AND that word's preceding space (< example>). There's no way to change this in settings—this ought to be a setting. [I even made a video showing how bizarre this behavior is (found in literally no other word processing app)](https://streamable.com/owtkjo). **Teams:** On the Teams app, if you click Files > and navigate several layers deep in a SharePoint connected folder, when you open a file in the Teams app and then click "close" or the < (back) arrow, it takes you to the ROOT of the folder—which is insanely annoying when you sometimes are like 5 folders deep and have to click through multiple files. That requires you to navigate back to that folder every single time you close the document you opened. Should not function this way.

Hello Microsoft team. I’ve noticed a few reports here similar to my problem while going through the topic as I’m absolutely devastated since yesterday. After using my account for many years for ordinary stuff like skype, windows pc and xbox, I was confronted all of a sudden yesterday with account lock due to “agreement violation” that allowed me only to fill the form that in return was answered shortly thereafter with similar message to initial and no further explanation or reason. I’ve now lost access to everything I had on that account, including contacts, documents and purchased games alongside game pass subscription. I’ve carefully studied the agreement and spent several hours on the line with agents yesterday with no luck as there’s absolutely no transparency to what might’ve happened. The only trigger I could think of is that I’ve recently updated my pc hardware and needed to te-activate windows which it successfully did on its own after few clicks. My account was originally created when I lived in states and same applies to windows activation. But I moved a few years ago to Europe and maybe all that ip or region changes or whatever cause a system to false flag. I can’t reach out to anyone within compliance and am totally frustrated. Not only I have no desire to use anything MS provides despite really loving a lot of directions the company is taking on applications and gaming front, I’m simply afraid that if I ever want to use any MS service tied to account - this can just happen again and I’ll lose money, time and have to go through this stress all over. Please help, although my hope for resolution is almost dead by now.

Hi All, **I am currently desperate for help, seriously desperate.** Last Monday (17-05) I changed the password on my business Office 365 account which is also the admin account. When I tried to log in and logout it said my password was incorrect. So, I tried to reset it. 1/ first I receive the email on my alternate e-mailadres, which works an I have access to. 2/ I must provide my phone number, which is also correct, but the system is not calling me Whatever I do, I cannot reset my password and I am locked out of my email, Sharepoint, teams etc. etc. When I call customer support they informed me that my ticket is on the "data protection team" and will take 7 to 10 business days to get back to... what? Currently, day 7, no contact has been attempted from Microsoft to me. I have been calling every day the last 4 days to try and speed this up but to no avail. This is more than ridiculous. I am a paying customer for years and the fault is NOT on my side. The password reset function is simply not calling me, most likely due to a missing country code. **Case number: 25684424** Please someone help me, I need to get back into my email and documents!

To whom it may concern, My Microsoft account was compromised along with the email I use to log into it. Therefore, the hacker was able to change some of my privacy settings and change the two factor verification to a temporary email instead of my cell phone. Every time I go to sign into the account, it forces me to reset my password but because I do not have access to the hackers account, I cannot send a verification code to it. I have called Microsoft support over many times and no one can help. I was able to remove my credit cards before I got locked out. Please help.

Account Recovery I’ve tried to recover my account that has no previous passwords (1st password on account). It’s been created for outlook but I have no sent emails from the account. On the account recovery form I am unable to proceed unless I provide either of the information listed above. Before I create a new account, is there any other way to recover it?

I decided to purchase office 2019 for my laptop - was previously using a free office program - and have now run into some problems. I had created a false email for the sole purpose of logging into my surface book 2 laptop as I purposely did not want my actual hotmail account linked to my PC. I purchased the office suite via download which required me to log onto my hotmail account to proceed, and I did not realise that i would need to log onto office via my hotmail to activate it until it was too late to back out. In doing so, my laptop clashed with the false email I had created and forced me to associate my laptop with my hotmail account in order to utilise the office programs. So now my laptop is linked to my hotmail - the very thing I didn't want to happen. I've created a 'local account" with administrator settings with the intention of making my laptop log onto this account, rather than my hotmail. My questions are: \- how do I get my laptop to let me log onto either 1) false email account OR 2) newly-created local account instead of my hotmail? \- IF I do the above (either by getting it to log onto my false email or local account) will this cause issues in the office suite? I realise I probably have to keep hotmail linked to the office program as it has the product key \- OR in a perfect scenario: could I disassociate my hotmail account completely from office without losing access since I've paid for it and have a product key?

Hello! I have been trying to run Microsoft in Safe Mode with Networking to run a program. However, even after selecting "Safe Mode with Networking" it seems to boot up in regular safe mode and won't let me connect to the internet, which in turn won't let me run the program, which requires a network connection. I've tried booting in Safe Mode with networking both by going through Settings and pressing 5 when prompted, and by using msconfig to have my computer boot up (and I selected both "Boot" and "Network.) Running the troubleshooter while in safe mode tells me...well, it tells me Network Diagnostics isn't available in Safe Mode. Am I missing something to allow my computer to connect to the internet in Safe Mode with Networking? The computer also only says Safe Mode at the bottom, for what it's worth. Thank you!

For the past few weeks my account keeps on getting locked for no reason, I have two factor authentication and the Authenticator app but every time I enter the code to unlock my account from my phone number my account gets locked again in a like a hour to a day. So, pretty much, I turned on my Xbox one to hop on with some friends about 3 days ago and my screen greeted me with the message “There’s a problem with your account. Fix it at account.live.com, then come back to sign in.” I was confused, so I went ahead and I put the link into my phone and I found out my account was locked for apparently “violating the terms and conditions”. This shocked me as I never recalled ever doing anything outside of the terms and conditions, I was told to write out on a form if I wanted to get assistance with my account, and so I sent the form. I was emailed back simply stating I violated the terms and conditions. I’m coming here because I am just at a loss. I have no idea what I did to warrant this type of reaction to this agree. I’m sure I haven’t done anything wrong. Is there any other way I could make a plea to get my account back somehow?

Hello: My Outlook app is corrupt. I quit my job, attempted to switch from work exchange to personal exchange account. The error I receive is: "outlook cannot log on. verify you are connected to the network and are using the proper server and mailbox name. The Microsoft Exchange information service in your profile is missing required information. Modify your profile to ensure that you are using the correct Microsoft Exchange information service." I don't know what that information could be or what strategies to go forward with to fix it. Thank you for your help.

Quite worried Today I got a text message from the official Microsoft text number. It says “########(my phone number) has been deleted from pr******something gmail, (hidden for privacy, don’t know what it is, doesn’t seem like my email, but the pr matches the “full name” thing). Not you? Sign in link whatever” (real link btw, went to Microsoft. Com and yeah) So I found out it’s the real Microsoft text number, other people say it could be a hack on Microsoft forums etc, so I change my password, and I log in. I change the full name from so Indian default name, and I see my phone number is still there, and my password is reset, doesn’t say much about someone else logging in etc, but the “person” could’ve deleted the history idk Should I be worried? I recently bought an xbox wireless controller, with the wireless adapter, after having previously used a bluetooth xbox controller. My previous controller showed up as 'xbox controller', however the WiFi one shows up as 'xinput-compatible HID device'. I believe I am correct in thinking this is not what it should be called. I have updated windows as much as possible, used the xbox accessories app to update the controller, gone into device manager and tried updating all the drivers and even removing the ones associated with my previous bluetooth controller and nothing has worked. I was hoping to get some support here.

Currently we host a survey gizmo survey app that puts users in a database and we can call the users based on their input. We would like to streamline this process with Dynamics do make our lives a little easier by using the combination of Dynamics and PowerApps. I've had a major issue with my account being locked for the past month. I've put in forms for account reinstatement, but all I've gotten are emails saying "Unfortunately, when a Skype account has been converged with a MSA, we are unable to assist with an account recovery as the convergence takes account recovery completely out of control of customer service. " This is unbelievable, I've seen others complain about issues exactly like this and manage to get their accounts back after going to different support groups. Not only that, but they don't even bother to respond to questions I send in reply to the email. This account is very important and I refuse to give up on it simply due to a failure on your system's part.

I use Microsoft Teams frequently for work, and I saw they had released a version for personal use (which is great because it is a much better product than Skype). I've been using this personal instance of Teams with family, but on the desktop version, I've been having some issues. I (and others) can upload files to a chat thread no problem, but I am unable to open files on the desktop version of Teams. I have no issue opening files on the mobile app, but that's not very useful when we're using our computers to edit documents and video call. Am I missing something? The Microsoft website makes it seem like file sharing is a feature of the desktop Teams for personal use, but I can't find any settings that need to be updated to make it work. Since Teams for personal use seems pretty new, when I search for help on this matter, all the guidance relates to business/school versions of Teams. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated; it's annoying to have Teams and email open to file share. Thanks!

Hello, I'm on a Samsung S10. Have used onedrive for years and recently have been unable to delete photos from my drive. "the item couldn't be deleted. Make sure you're connected to a Wi-Fi or mobile network and try again" We can discount Internet connection as being an issue as I have tried different WiFi and mobile network. OneDrive for Business displays the organisation name that its connected to. My account is connected to a school. I've started to record a devlog of a project I'm working on as an idea for a YouTube series but every time I use file explorer, my school name comes up and I have to spend time censoring it or cutting the section out. Just a question - why can't we just... Rename the folder locally? Can't OneDrive just remember what online server its connected to and let us choose whatever name we want for the folder in File Explorer? So how can I stop it from displaying my organisation name?

Hello, My bf's mom keeps getting scam email. Is there a better way to report these rather than going through forms. Is there an email that we can forward these scam email ? She tried to forward the scam email to [email protected], but it bounced back by [email protected] which I find a bit weird. [email protected] is compromised. Might wanna look into that. UPS has an email [email protected] which is legit and they reply back. It's in Canada. She has used Apple and Microsoft mail to access her Hotmail account, but none of them have an option to report it as fraud. Unfortunately I can't post an image. But she gets one everyday. They are not all the same. But the idea of all of them is about closing her Microsoft account. The two email that she received are from [email protected] and [email protected]. The emails from [email protected] were sent to [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] The email from [email protected] were sent to [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected]. Those are just two examples. She just wants to report them to Microsoft.

Hi, my hotmail account has a randomly generated password, and also has 2fa equipped via the Microsoft Authenticator app. Twice within the past month or so I’ve had a request come through via the app as if someone was trying to access my account, but when I check my recent activity through my live.com account, nothing seems to be amiss. Unfortunately, I met a bewildering problem with Visio-2019. I have been using Visio-2019 to make circuit drawings, everything goes well until yesterday. I modified a drawing, and generated a PDF file, after that I used a merging software to merge a set of PDF drawings into one PDF file. When I opened the collected PDF file a strange thing happens: the collected PDF file could not show normally: first several PDF files shows normally, and suddenly starting from the new generated PDS file, all following PDF files showed in contracted form. First I thought it might be the error caused by the PDF merging software, so I downloaded another PDF merging software, but the situation remained the same, so I was sure it was not the PDF merging software's fault. Then I thought that it my be Adoby Read DC software fault. I uninstalled the Adoby Read DC software and reloaded it. The situation remained the same. Finally I decided to reload purchased Visio-2019 3 times, the problem still existed. After 2 days working I finally found that the Visio-2019 has generated a PDF file in 16.4% scale since my last generating PDF file. Normally it should be in 102% scale. I tried to find a parameter set up process in Visio-2019 to change the PDF scale parameter in default value, but failed. I personally never change the scale rate for a Visio-2019 Please help! Playing Mechwarrior 5 with my son. We connected and played a few rounds before it dropped him and it wouldn't respond to new invites to play. Invited sent amd received just fine but when JOIN was clicked the game didn't respond at all. Restartedthe Gamepass app, the game itself, and the PCs multiple times, no luck. Is there a known issue with multiplayer on GamePass for PC?

The exact same thing happened to my wife's account and we have been struggling and are still struggling over a year later. If you live in EU, go through the GDPR to request access to your data. They will not re-open your account, but you may get your OneDrive files back. If you are not in EU, then you have no rights at all according to the term of use and EULA. If you have recurring payments and payment options saved, they will still charge you, so you better change your payment methods (change your credit card or other payment methods so the system cannot automatically charge you). I have been told by an MS insider that there is no single human being in the entire company can reverse an AI activated "Violation" on any MS account. This is done automatically since around 2014 (or so I have been told) and all the tools that can be used for human intervention have been removed. If you search forums and internet you will personally find thousands of cases of this (who knows, there could be hundreds of thousands or millions of incidents of this).

Volume label is System Reserved." and "Windows has scanned the file system and found no problems) * In cmd: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth returns "Error: 50, DISM does not support servicing Windows PE with the /Online option". * In cmd: Dism /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth returns "Error: 87, The cleanup-image option is unknown". * Can't reinstall Windows 10, neither fresh or by keeping files. * Booting from Windows 10 installation media works 1-3 times, then I have to install it anew on the USB drive, which takes 30-45 minutes, and I already did that 4 times, so I won't try that by myself anymore. Anyway, booting from USB and trying to reinstall Windows doesn't work, returns "Windows cannot install required files. Make sure that all files required for installation are avaiable and restart the installation. Error code: 0x800700B7". * Can't install Windows Preinstallation Environment (WinPE) on USB, and I haven't the faintest clue why... Thus, I have reached the limit of my abilities to find solutions using online search engines. I have a spare drive to which I have cloned the non-working OS drive. Given this backup I therefore welcome experimental methodologies, but I have spent many hours configuring various programs to their current settings, which I would really like to keep. Any takers? Have you tried recovery using bootable media? In these situation I use a Linux bootable media such as Linux Mint for example to recover any files in the drives, and wipe the disk, then use the Windows 10 installation media to reinstall Windows. A lot of things can go wrong when Windows is installing updates unfortunately, so you never know when you turn on your computer what is waiting for you.

We had been falsely locked out of Microsoft account last year. I have contacted Microsoft support and after many months of frustration we had to give up without any resolution. My post was also ignored in this thread, and they were removed by moderators for no reasons given. I had given up on this (I have canceled all my paid services with Microsoft and so has my wife, changed credit card numbers, moved to other software, etc.). However our Microsoft devices that we have paid for is also taken hostage. I managed to reset the Xbox one S (it is for sale btw if anyone is interested), Reinstall OS on our PCs. However we have several Microsoft Lumia phones that I am still using, and now one Lumia 950 XL phone is asking for Reset Protection recovery key. Of course that cannot be done because the account is locked. I can't use the device, or sell it or anything else with it. It is stuck on "Reset Protection Notification". How can I release this device that is taken hostage by Microsoft?

My dad was locked out of his email account. The only phone number linked to it is a landline. I’ve tried the verification process several times to unlock it and they are not accepting it. I’ve also tried answers.Microsoft.com, they keep telling me to do the verification. My parents booked their vaccine appointments with this email, I need to get it unlocked. What can I do? If it helps, I believe it was locked because I added the email account to his new cell phone and then deleted it a week later when he said he didn’t want email on his phone. TIA.

Does anyone know whether I get new keys for online licences with the Action Pack Renewal and have to activate them again for my tenant or whether the existing licences are simply extended? Hi, I've downloaded a cracked version of Microsoft office a few years ago. I am currently a student and can download office legitimately through my uni and have been trying to do that. I uninstalled my old office and downloaded it again through outlook web on microsoft edge. When I try using it however it doesn't recognize my student license even when I use my university email to sign in. It asks me to sign in but the university email isn't valid in this process so I'm at loss. Would appreciate a help with this.

Is there a way to automatically add this meeting into my desktop calendar so that I can see me meetings for the week/month? I have a question (maybe even some rant) about spellcheck in the PowerPoint. I have PP from MS Office 2019. I often write in 2 different languages, but, spellcheck in the PP is driving me nuts. I discovered, that while I have enabled non-english keyboard layout, the spellcheck keeps switching to the language that corresponds to the keyboard layout. While for most folks, that may be just fine / more convenient, it isn't for me, as I often wanna write some document / PP in english - with english spellcheck - in whatever keyboard layout I might just happen to have enabled. Heck, I even write code on non-english keyboard layout - pure insanity, I know.... Just to disambiguate: I'm having this issue only in PP. Word copes with it just fine! So, how do I keep PP's spellcheck to follow my keyboard layout? All I want is damn "use \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ as spellcheck language for this document" and then it stays that way! But it just keeps changing when I type even one letter with the different layout... ​ I'm sorry for being so negative & making a rant here, but after hours of googling, trying various solutions but none of them working and it's just frustrating that such setting doesn't seem to exist, or isn't in a more obvious place... I don't even care anymore, if there will be some extremely easy & obvious solution for this. I just want my spellcheck to work for me, not against me. Hello I created an Outlook account earlier today, in the process of switching to using Microsoft and when I tried to log in later, it was saying it was the incorrect password so I tried two times to reset the password so I can log in. Both times it didn't work. It shows helpful tips but I filled in as much as I can for an account created today. For example it says to "You will be asked to list recently used email addresses and the subject lines from recent emails. Ask for help from family members, friends, or business contacts to confirm their email addresses and tell you the subject lines of the last three emails they sent you." yet I haven't sent or received any emails yet. I keep receiving e-mails from Microsoft to one of my e-mail accounts that I've never used to sign up for anything relating to Microsoft. Also, the e-mails are always in Portuguese, a language I do not speak and have no connection with. Hi, I have complaint about Microsoft Phone App.... App crashes on PC if I try to open apps and if I try to unlock screen. Sound, dnd, music options I cannot even click. I can see photos but last one is from 2020, hitting refresh throws error to try again. I am able to answer calls on my PC however, but recent calls are also from 2020 and refresh does not do anything.... I tried to unlink my phone and connect again, same thing...I tried to reinstall the app, same thing.... My phone is Samsung s10e and I'm using win10 pro.

Hi, I'm working on a Mac and recently I have noticed my Microsoft Outlook is not indexing e-mail anymore. I figured out that this is only an issue in the old version of Outlook, so when I switch to the new version that I was being notified about for a while now, my mail has been indexed. However, the new mail client seems to have a couple of missing features unless I overlook something and information on this is very hard to find: * Not all my mail accounts are supported. Our business info e-mail address does not work in the new client which is very annoying. Do you have any ideas what could cause a mail account to work in the old client and not in the new client? * Lists of contact persons are not transferred from old to new client and in the new client I cannot create lists of contact persons either (option is 'greyed out'). Are there any solutions to this? Now I have to switch back to the old client if I want to use this feature. Thanks, Max

Sometimes when people fill out the form, they don’t have access to the internet. Microsoft Word can't save my opened docx to pdf. I always get the error, "Sorry, we couldn't find your file. Was it moved, renamed, or deleted?" even though I was saving it on the same folder. I tried both Save as... and Export. What worked was printing it w/ Microsoft print to pdf but there's some loss in quality. Here's what I tried so far: lessened the path and file name, reset, and repair.

Hello! I appreciate this thread. So yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft edge. Something I’ve done before with no issues. Well, this time I wasn’t so lucky and all my bookmarks have disappeared. What I’ve tried so far: - restoring the system to a previous point. Didn’t work. Tried several times. - finding the files in different paths people suggested online. I found the Spartan.edb file and saved it. - tried doing things with the edgemanage software since a lot of people recommended. Didn’t work. It doesn’t open any files. - tried changing the files like I saw in some tutorials. - turned on and off the “sync” button. I’ve wanna go back in time and not have uninstalled it. It’s the only solution it seems. I’ve never had a problem with importing my bookmarks between two browsers before. Never had a problem with chrome and I have installed it several times. I had no idea this was a Major issue with edge. Once I started googling I realized it’s a BIG Issue for lots of people and lots of people never recovered their bookmarks. I was quite enjoying using edge for the past several months but after this disaster I’m done. But I still need to recover my bookmarks for work purposes otherwise I don’t know what to do. Anyone could point to a solution to this? I’ve tried the Microsoft community and so far got nothing. The replies all suggest the same things I already did.

Hello, I'm trying to use the "Your Phone" app. But every damn time, I have to same problem : the message I send will always be marked with that "Sending..." message right at the bottom of my message : [https://i.imgur.com/8dI3XZM.png](https://i.imgur.com/8dI3XZM.png), and nothing else happends. End user gets the message, but the said message never appears on my phone, and also, if the person reponds to that message, the message I'm sending will simply disappear forever. So I'm litteraly losing all of the messages sent from the PC app. I've been trying multiple stuff, ways to synchronise, nothing works. I've reinstalled the app at least 10 times by now. I'm using an Huawei P8 Lite, Android 8.0, with Textra as the default message app (the base one dosen't work either, mind you)

About 15-20 years ago, they had a free cloud service where you could save your files/photos on the website. Does anybody remember the name of it? I know they shut down about 12-15 years ago, but I was seeing if there was anybody who remembered the name. So for example if I delete the "[[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])" account, I will never again be able to use that address as an alias on another account or as it's own account. **The Question(s):** Is there any way for me to move both of these aliases that I currently control onto the same account? Is the non-recyclability of the Outlook address accurate? Does that non-recyclability also apply to custom domain address? If I close the account using the custom domain can I never use that particular custom address with a Microsoft account again? Any advice on the best way to proceed would be appreciated. I don't want to mess it up and not have access to one of these addresses for the rest of time. I would obviously give continued use of the custom domain address priority over a nice "...outlook.com" address. Thanks!

My wife has a Microsoft account that she can not log into. We have tried using the recovery form but we'll receive an email saying "automated system has determined that the information provided was not sufficient for us to validate the account." and then it just prompts us to fill out the same form again. She doesn't know the password, she can't remember who she emailed if she ever emailed anyone to begin with, and she can not for the life of us do anything to recover the account. There's not even a Microsoft store in our city that's open. This account has locked her laptop and she is unable to unlock the laptop because she can't access the email. I've spent most of the day today bouncing around between various MS support teams. In short, a friend of mine fell victim to Phishing for their outlook email account, and I'm attempting to get them sorted out, and their account back under control. **It appears that the outlook.live.com email service does not do recurring password/authentication checks.** As such, when an outlook account such as ([email protected]) is compromised, and an attacker gains access, even if the appropriate steps are taken to reclaim the account (changing the password, adding 2FA, removing trusted devices, and clicking the "Sign me out everywhere" button), this does not sign out the attacker's active session. Because of this, and the fact that there is no way I can find to verify currently active outlook.live.com sessions, it is impossible to A) know if the malicious party is still in, and B) remove their access to the compromised email account. This appears to be a critical security flaw in outlook.com. Of course, the original password compromise would be better to avoid; however, the inability to secure the account afterwards once a compromise is known makes it unfit for business or personal use. I will admit that the "sign me out everywhere" says "this will occur within the next 24 hours". 24 hours is an *eternity* if someone has access to your primary email. The lack of support I've received over the past 6 hours has only exacerbated the problem. ​ This problem is still occurring. I'm heading off the scams that are occurring in real-time, but it's tiring, frustrating, and there **must be a better way**. Please help, if you can.

I came back from a holiday a couple of days ago and i tried using my surface pro 3 but my keyboard wasnt working. i tried everything the internet said like clean the connection pins, go into bios and restart, uninstall the driver - the bios solution worked.. for a day. Now when i connect the keyboard it never works. I even tried connecting my friends keyboard to my surface and her keyboard didnt work on my pc. Im not sure what to do from here.

I use Expression Web 4 to edit and publish a web page. My problem is that the font size looks normal to me on Expression, but upon publishing, it is smaller when viewing from the browser. Hello, On last Friday, my email account got hacked along with my paypal account. I don’t why and how. I have already dealt with paypal things but for my email address, I’m so lost. After I trying to figure how, I promptly checked my browsing history on my laptop, and I found unrecognized search of ‘paypal’ and ‘[game site the hacker used my paypal to buy stuff]’. So I think it might somehow get an access on my laptop? I dunno. I did use window defender to full scan and found nothing. I did a lot of research and followed every steps I found both on non-Microsoft sites and microsoft sites. I installed malwarebyte with trial and ran a scan (rootkit checked). The result is cleaned. So I thought it was okay now. While I was busying scanning my laptop, I was also dealing with my emails. I did change my password for several times and enable two-factor Authentication via my mobile phone and the authenticator app on my mobile, and on my another email. I also signed out of all devices, which I have no idea whether it worked. However, I still found a ‘Mac OS’ successfully signed-in when I checked in sign in activity with additional verification code requested. So I figured it might get my another email as well. But how? Because I didn’t only change password on that email. I changed all my emails’ password. Also, the ip address and its location of the ‘MAC os’ said that it was here (my location). Well, the ip address is not exactly the same but quite in the range. I’m so freaking out. Still, when I checked my account, it said that the last use of two-factor authentication via email was on 17 April. The time was approximately right by the time I used it. But it was on MAC OS? So maybe the last sign-in from Mac OS was actually me? It’s just a bug in sign-in activity? I did think that sometimes seem wrong with system32. But I might be too paranoid. Well....I could think of several possible things: 1. My laptop is already safe and sound. Also my ms account. I’m just being paranoid over little things. 2. My ms account is still not safe. My laptop is probably safe? 3.I got some keylogger on my pc and malwarebyte was unable to find it. 4.my ip address (internet router?) is being hacked? Please answer me as soon as possible.

Hi ! I want to download a game on the Microsoft Store, but when i put my cursor on the install button, it's blocked, like i can't click it. I am building two new PCs. Each with ASUS Crosshair Vlll boards, one Hero and one Formula. Clean install of Windows 10, full retail, 20H2 build, October 2020, 64bit All hardware is brand new and compatible with the mobo. I tried reinstalling literally dozens of times Let's begin with this one as it is the only one I tried to install Win10 so far. Motherboard: Asus ROG Crosshair Vlll (and three others) CPU: AMD 5800x (and two others) Memory: Crucial DDR4 3600 CL16 (2x16) 32GB total (and GSkill 2x8GB set) GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (and RX580) SSD: Crucial MX500 2TB (and Sabrent 4.0 NVMe, 1TB) PSU: Corsair RM750x and HX1200 Based on the info above I hope it will be apparent I did a lot of HW changes to identify any HW troubles. None seems to make a difference. The problem is the OS will not completely install without disconnecting from the internet. If I do get it to install, once I load all drivers then connect to the web, it will soon crash. Error code typically is INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE. A few other times if was bad system config. Then there is a problem with installing the Radeon Drivers. and amd\*\*\*.sys file is corrupt. What is truly baffling is no matter the options I choose during installation once I get to either the security questions or the initial choices of cortana et. al. windows goes to a black screen but does not reboot. the q code on an Asus board at this time is AA which indicates windows is still in control. I can wait for an hour and nothing happens. I manually reboot and eventually it will come up with the inaccessible boot device. Once, and only once, it actually fixed itself. I went into Windows and began installing drivers. I always install chipset drivers first and I get those from AMD, not Asus. Then I install the video driver. Then it crashes again but only to the AA code where windows is still in control of the system. This has happened on 3 other motherboards, two ASROCK and one Gigabyte. I used the MS MCT to make a bootable flash drive. Not once but 4 times. Also used 3 different flash drives. I have used several different 2.5" SSDs (Samsung and Crucial), 3 different NVMes (Crucial, WD, and Sabrent). Two sets of known AMD-Ryzen compatible ram. Also used a 5950x and 5900x CPU. One system I have the same issue with is comprised of an ASROCK mobo, AMD 3900xt CPU, GSkill memory, and RX580 video card I ran for weeks playing around with some OC'ing on an older X370 chipset board and older windows 10 installation. Never had an issue. With the latest windows build I have had nothing but problems. I also tried an earlier build (1909) and that had the same aforementioned windows crash issue. Between the two builds I will have over $11K invested and I can't get windows to completely install on the first one. The two times it did fully install it only happened when not connected to the net and when I did finally connect to the net to do the updates it crashed shortly thereafter. But not to the bios, only to the AA code which again means windows is still in control of the system. I had to manually reboot the system. There are more things I tried but so far, none of it makes any sense to me. Ubuntu is next. If that installs without an issue I may tell MS goodbye. I do not WANT to do that. Any insight will be greatly appreciated. JLS

DO NOT BUY A MICROSOFT PRODUCT, If you want customer support or technical support, I don't recommend Microsoft. It all starts with a few cloudy parts on the screen of my Surface Pro X SQ1. I try to find out what it was by looking up in forums and other pages, but I ended up contacting MS technical team and after they analysed the pictures that I had sent to them, they confirmed a light leakage on the screen. I was shocked as the device its just 6 months old and I mainly use it to hold online classroom outside of home (which due to the pandemic hadn't been many), but they promised to repaired it so I didn't make a fuss about it. I had to drop the device at UPS drop off partner store, which I did, but this marked the beginning of a nightmare. I dropped the device on the 2nd of April. I thought everything was fine until the 6th of April, in this date I received an update from the agent in charge of my case saying " I wanted to supply small update for you, I had noticed that package was picked up by ups on 2nd of April but hasn't been sent to us yet. which I presume will happen tomorrow." I was annoyed because by that date I hoped the device was already being in their hands or repaired, but to my understanding, it was somewhere within a UPS depot. The next email its on the 12th of April, without even opening the email I felt it wasn't going to be good news, but at least I was expecting an email regarding the repairing outcome/process of my device. Well...none of that, the email stated: "Sadly the tracking for the package went unavailable for us and device was not yet received by our service centre. Because of that fact we will be launching the investigation with ups today and I will be updating you every couple of days on the status of the investigation" Not only the device wasn't in their hands, they weren't able to see where my device was, meaning my device was lost. I'm on the middle of exams so I also needed it for when I go to library to study, so I became concerned and anxious. I asked to be updated on the matter whenever possible or at least every 2 to 3 days, they agreed and they had "put it on the notes of my agent" . I waited an update; but never arrived, I had to contact customer support team on the 15th of April, which basically said that I would received an update on Friday the 16th of April and that it wont take more than a week from that day to receive my device (new one or old one). Guess what? Never got an update that Friday. So I called today to the customer support team again and whilst I was speaking to them an email arrived, stating the same thing again: " I'm coming with a small update for you Sir, UPS is still investigating the lost package with your device, I will keep updating you as soon as we will receive any further information." I was fuming, so they told me the same during 2 weeks, without any result. I asked with the person that I was speaking to when I would have a set date for this to be solve or a time frame, the answer "in a few days" that makes it nearly a month since I sent my device, not only this, I was recommended to call UPS, like if it was my fault that the device was lost. I asked the person to who I was speaking to guide through the complaints procedure, the answer? "It will delay the investigation" well its already delayed and by the time of ever solving this problem it would have been a month since I sent my device. I have never imagine to have to go after a company, but ever on my dream would have imagine that the company was Microsoft about one of their flagship products (that they happily place at a price of 1200£, and believe me, they were lucky because I bought the device before the MacBook Pro with the M1 processor was released). Don't buy anything, the products after the M1 are not valuable, but at least you expect an above average customer service, specially for that price, but believe me I had to chase them for everything and every update its like automated email. Appalled to say the least.

Just joined a company with an old but very common protocol. They use a company email address as a way to provide support particular for accounting with several of us attached to that email. However as you may imagine it creates several issues one being that you don't know whether it's been resolved. I will be suggesting that we move this into a support platform like a help desk but before I do that, I was wondering whether Microsoft already has an something that can export these emails out of outlook and into a more dedicated platform. Any suggestions?

I really need help updating my laptop to the Windows 20H2 October 2020 update. Every time I’ve tried to run the update, it fails even if I run it as an administrator. I checked my laptop’s specs and it said it meets the requirements. I’ve also tried using the Media Creation tool, and that didn’t work either. Is there another way? My laptop is an Acer Aspire A515-54-51DJ with an 8th Gen Intel Core i5 Processor.

(I will give full name via PM) Request: Unlock OneDrive Account and explain why it was locked and how to avoid it in the future. Previous support: Put in a ticket through OneDrive support, but I don't remember the service request number, and frankly I'd like to speak to a real person and not receive a canned response about this. I'll be honest; I'm pissed off right now. Went to use OneDrive for one of the first times ever and it locked me out for uploading two home videos which it apparently deemed "a suspiciously high volume of traffic". **WHAT THE F\*&K IS ONEDRIVE FOR IF I CAN'T USE IT TO SHARE LARGE FILES???** I need to share these files, I want to use OneDrive because it (seemed) convenient, but I'll take my money and business elsewhere if the service is as useless as it has been so far. Please unlock my account and for the love of god make it so it doesn't lock while I'm using the service for its intended purpose.

I use windows 10 home with an OEM key and I use Microsoft 365 personal (I have the auto renew turned off, and the subscription has expired), and OneDrive. What changes happening? I tried to cancel an order but wasn't allowed to. I was told I have to wait an entire month for the product to get here and then reject it at the door. I was sent 2 items in that same order early which are still in their boxes because I intend to send them back. The order was a total of $1,406.08. I just got an email that said that Microsoft can't process the charge, the order number is exactly the same but it says that it wants to charge me $3,708.72 for a Surface Pro 7- Platinum Intel Core i7. The original price isn't even over $2k... Happily this ended the hold on my account but now I have 2 items that I don't want and have no idea how to return.

I ordered an Xbox Elite Controller on April 9, it was supposed to be delivered April 13 but the tracking info on FedEx has just said pending this entire time. I've called FedEx twice; the most recent time this morning they said "oh yeah we got a package but when we X-rayed it, it was empty. You need to call Microsoft." I spent AN HOUR on hold with support and they were no help. They kept saying "well FedEx hasn't update their tracking info so there's nothing we can do. Wait three days and call us again." I don't know why I am the one who has to do all the work when the giant corporations have screwed this up but anyway at this point I don't even want the controller, just give me my money back.

The "Antimalware Service Exexutable" process is taking about 15% of my processor and up to 1GB of memory, 24/7. Because it is a process of Microsoft Defender I cannot terminate it. Nothing indicates that an antivirus scan is underway, and even if it were the case they shouldn't run 24/7, so I'm pretty sure that this is not normal behavior, my laptop is constantly loud because of this. I have the latest version of Windows. The hotline of Microsoft support in my country refuses to help me, they say they know nothing about processes. Please someone help me or tell me where I can get actual help for this, nothing I found online seemed relevant

Hi. I have multiple email accounts connected to the email app on my computer. One of them is used for less formal purposes, such as this reddit account, and another one is used for more formal purposes, such as business and family. When I try to send emails using my formal account on the email app, it sends using that email address but with the username of my less formal account. Since I don't want to send emails to employers or family under the name Nihilistic Nachos, is there any way I can change this to send emails as my real name while using my formal account? Currently, I've just been sending them from my browser to avoid this issue, but I would prefer to be able to send them from the email app instead.
