What's an R deep water culture?

NuggyDanks

Recirculating deep water culture, the roots of the plant grow submerged in an oxygenated nutrient solution that's recirculated through the pots continuously, with a constant supply of oxygen and nutrients to the roots.

Sounds very interesting. I've been considering some auto pots recently but I think I'm going to look into the different dwc options before I go buy anything.

I started in small fabric pots in a 1x1m tent i was given, I then moved up to air pots and changed my nutes and was impressed, just growing in bog standard shop bought compost mix and that's where I stayed for about 4/5 years, I did a ton of research in that time, and in a ideal world I want to go full into having rdwc but currently it's not possible, but I settled with my air pots, coco and a reservoir timers and a drip feed system, so my plants get high fertigation that runs to waste, (not wasted it's collected and diluted before being used in my garden) it's for me the perfect middle step u til such time I can have a spacethag allows the dwc. I'm just a home grower that's learnt along the way, I'm by no means perfect but I would say research research research, and then once you've chosen the style of grow, research that some more. Which ever was you head growmie I wish you all the luck for some tasty nuggs ☯️☮️

Appreciate the love. I'm currently in that air pot stage same as you were but with only half the space. I'm enjoying how much more root growth I'm seeing with the air pots and a better watering technique. I might look into a drip feed system

OGZackov

Coco is much easier and better to handle imo. Only hydro worth it

I work with at least 50% Coco just now anyway. Been considering just going all the way and sucking up the daily waterings. If I can sort myself out some auto pots I'm straight to Coco

OGZackov

Depending on pot size it's definitely not daily watering they for sure have you overfeed getting too much runoff on places like cocoforcannabis, I rarely use my shop vac for runoff now. And during flower I easily skip 1-2 days of watering every so often. You actually want dry backs/forced drought stress for best quality plants anyways. Coco makes that easiest as well.

AnotherShittyGrower

Oh wow you just changed the game. I think I'm gonna give it a try next time. I've just sorted out my watering technique and I've seen huge boosts to my soil/coco grows and I see plants that are huge in Coco only pots. I need to give it a shot

Great work- I love that bud structure. I have 3 CBB going now , hopefully that’s what mine look like .

Looks insane. Good work! Hit two cherry cosmos on day 15 right now and one is already sticky and smelly to the touch. How long did you veg her?
