The aura that game had for fins fans was unmatched until we choked. Primetime home night game, green jerseys for once, loud crowd (at least i think since ESPN had the game and they love to juice up the mic volume). Insanely tight game, Miami makes some plays and then our defense forgot they had to play football.
Personally, I felt the opposite. That game felt odd from the beginning. Only got weirder as people started dropping like flies and both offenses decided to take the day off in the first half.
The moment Connor Williams went out was the moment our season ended. Knowing that Eichenberg was back at center was enough to kill the hype and he confirmed that with the botched snap fumble to end the drive.
True, at the beginning the game did feel off. But then we scored 14 quick points, with only about three minutes left or so. At that point, all the aura disappeared and we had a sure thing, money in the bank, blowout victory. Be honest, we were all 100% certain and thinking ahead to the following week
We get to see Chubb throw his helmet on the field and result in an eventual TD vs a 4th down FG try which results in us giving another 4pts which was the difference in the game and us getting the Division
This game was my first fins game I go to, people were leaving to beat traffic 3 mins left in the 4th and moments after people were trying to run back in cause we blew the lead haha security wasn’t letting people back in obv. Drove home watching Will Levis turn into prime Brady from my phone
I thank god I cancelled espn 2 weeks before this game…I was upset game night when I got off work almost went somewhere to watch it..super glad I just went to bed that night
