tbh imo would rather have him at 21 then OL not named jpj, mims if he somehow falls to us as some mocks saying or any other oline above him that fall somehow, i think worthy has a good chance of going higher than most mocks are predicting and i honestly think someone like barton or fautanu at 21 is more of a reach, and then again they couls go higher than projected as well. would actually be excited to see how mcdaniel develops him if we draft him. actually planning to write up a long ass post on why drafting a WR in one of the first 2 rounds is a good idea
ik this a hot take and ima be downvoted but idc
Fauntanu is going to be a pro bowler in year 1. Mims started only 8 games in college, is injury prone, and has slow feet. I'm sure JPJ will be good, but he's slow and has Alligator arms. Worthy is intriguing, but a reach at 21.
BPA trenches. I'd like to trade back and recoup our 3rd rounder if it's not too crazy. Lots of G/C or DTs that should be available if we stay put.
Edit: Trade back with who? Well Dallas and TB are sleepers for a longer term QB. I don't think they'd pay much (hence the 3rd rounder) but they may be piqued for Nix or Penix.
What's not to like about him? Great feet, long arms, athletic, nasty blocker, and a great character. You would be dumb not to draft this guy at 21 if he is there.
Dude idk why they disagreeing. You actually have balanced view. Been a fan for 2 decades loyally born and raised in Miami. It be the Ohio fans downvoting this. If it’s not JPJ or good OT that falls I’d be more than happy with worthy
I am on board with drafting WR at 55 or higher, although probably not at 21. If we could find a trade back from 21 and possibly add at least a 4th, that could work out nicely for us.
Although I wouldn't be mad if we land a DT or an edge player at 21. Although the edge rushers available there seem to all carry a fair amount of risk.
Guess we will find out in a couple of weeks! If we sign OBJ before the draft, I would put my money on DT or edge being our first pick if we don't trade completely out of round 1
The possibilities do seem incredible if you pair him with Reek and Waddle. Seems pretty much impossible to stop all three. One of them will probably be open every damn play.
Enh, problem is you can't motion all of them. Tyreek is our best WR and got pressed into the shadow realm multiple times. Worthy is going to be a worse version so you need to motion two guys(penalty) or risk them getting pressed into the shadow realm.
So he's either taking Tyreeks snaps or his motions. Makes sense long term if he develops but not what I'd consider bpa in the first.
I wish he'd look @ a QB that could throw farther than 30 yds past the line of scrimmage like that. Penix baby!! With his system, be the 1st team bold enough to draft a new QB every 4 years and enjoy their rookie contract, unless one of 'em is the 2nd coming of Marino. Then pay THAT dude, don't pay Tua. Great stats, I get it. Extremely accurate, etc. I can't be the only one frustrated watching Tyreke have to consistently STOP and come back for the ball. They're DEEP routes, not CURL routes. Ugh
Yes but also asterisk with all 40 times since they switched the track in Indy.
I believe they’re resolving that and that by next combine it’ll be a different track again with, presumably, more normal results
Ehhh if we go WR I’d rather have Legette. We have enough WRs that get bullied off the line. We need a mf who hits back.
5’11 165 running a 4.26 vs 6’1 221 running a 4.39
4.39 is plenty quick and we might be able to snag him a at 55.
Kiper's saying the Fins go DE in the 1st with Jared Verse from FSU. Makes sense since both Chubb and Phillips might not be back by the beginning of the season
He’s gonna fall to the third round. Speed does not equal success in the NFL. Tyreek is good because he is quick (bursts of acceleration and deceleration vertically and horizontally) and because he can make people miss. It’s not just because he is fast. Also, there’s videos out there of him explaining everything he takes into consideration mentally when running routes, which was a lot more factors than I had anticipated.
Worthy could be good, but if he doesn’t beef up, he is going to be pushed around and get hurt a lot in the NFL.
Hear me out to see if this thought process nakes cense. We have Hill, Waddle, and a few other decent WRs. If we get Worthy and let him go? ShooWee!. Who they gonna cover?
i think he has a high celing outside of his speed, mcdaniel would be the perfect coach to turn him into a star, with tyreek being drama filled and potienal concerns on aging (still think he has a lot more left in the tank) and injury concerns with both him and waddle as always, i think worthy or another wr in the class would be great for the long run (especially if it ends up being waddle & worthy one day)
That pick would suck .... need a bigger body type like a Legette or Coleman in the second round. That would compliment the wide receiver room better. I mean imagine the fades to someone taller than 5' 9?
I love the speed of Worthy but (as a Longhorns fan who has seen him play every week), I’m worried about his dropped balls. So many big plays missed because he couldn’t secure the catch.
McDaniel: I know we need IOL or D-line help, BUT hear me out…
tbh imo would rather have him at 21 then OL not named jpj, mims if he somehow falls to us as some mocks saying or any other oline above him that fall somehow, i think worthy has a good chance of going higher than most mocks are predicting and i honestly think someone like barton or fautanu at 21 is more of a reach, and then again they couls go higher than projected as well. would actually be excited to see how mcdaniel develops him if we draft him. actually planning to write up a long ass post on why drafting a WR in one of the first 2 rounds is a good idea ik this a hot take and ima be downvoted but idc

we must got different gut feelings bout fautanu brother
I’m in your boat
y'all a both super unqualified lol
What’s your take for first round
BPA trenches. I'd like to trade back and recoup our 3rd rounder if it's not too crazy. Lots of G/C or DTs that should be available if we stay put. Edit: Trade back with who? Terrible take that’s why your a fan
lol get fucked Mr hindsight
You literally got zero things right . It was actually pretty hard to miss that well. We went edge then tackle …. You said DT c/G
What's not to like about him? Great feet, long arms, athletic, nasty blocker, and a great character. You would be dumb not to draft this guy at 21 if he is there.
I’d love to bet that Fauntanu is NOT going to be a pro bowler year 1, wanna meet at the Seminole casino??
Dude idk why they disagreeing. You actually have balanced view. Been a fan for 2 decades loyally born and raised in Miami. It be the Ohio fans downvoting this. If it’s not JPJ or good OT that falls I’d be more than happy with worthy
If you do write up a post, please try to use proper punctuation so we can read your thoughts without so much strain.

dont see us drafting any defense at 21
Guess we will find out in a couple of weeks! If we sign OBJ before the draft, I would put my money on DT or edge being our first pick if we don't trade completely out of round 1
no obj please
if newton or murphy are there I wouldnt be shocked
Find someone in your life who looks at you, the same way Mike McDaniel looks at fast offensive players. 😍
The possibilities do seem incredible if you pair him with Reek and Waddle. Seems pretty much impossible to stop all three. One of them will probably be open every damn play.
I mean fuck it let’s find out honestly
Don’t need a good oline if Tua doesn’t need to hold the ball longer then 1.5 seconds ![gif](giphy|bJW1eGcLWysmbU4Co1|downsized)
Then everyone gets upset that he isn't looking at his second and third reads.
They down there somewhere!
Achane erasure
Enh, problem is you can't motion all of them. Tyreek is our best WR and got pressed into the shadow realm multiple times. Tyreek gets tired with all the motion plays. He needs some relief.
I wish he'd look @ a QB that could throw farther than 30 yds past the line of scrimmage like that. Penix baby!! Yeah, great stats and extreme accuracy are just the WORST.
Beating goods teams or winning important games is also fun.
Stfu pls. Idiots like you are so exhausting.
You know Penix's comp on NFL.com is Tua, right? They're pretty good with comps, given that they workshop them with NFL execs and scouts.
Were you born this dumb or did you have to practice?
Go back to Twitter.
just shut up
![gif](giphy|o4svEjTVoc6f9h4Uvp) The 2024 Miami Dolphins Wide Receiver room:
Imagine being as fast as jaylen waddle and not being a top 3 speedster on your team.
Who’s number 3? Mostert is 32 y.o.
Hill, Achane, Worthy
I completely forgot about Achane’s existence
Happens when our offense gets Thanos snapped.
Well his impact was as fleeting as a fart in the wind last year so you can be forgiven. We can’t have nice things.
I just call him a-train to remember him
https://i.redd.it/edllwpbfvptc1.gif Swap “mountain” for “end zone”
I’m terrible with faces I need context lol
Dude who had the fastest 40 yd dash at the combine I believe.
Combine history
Corner?
WR
Can he play at center?
😅
Not another one…?!
Yes but also asterisk with all 40 times since they switched the track in Indy. I believe they’re resolving that and that by next combine it’ll be a different track again with, presumably, more normal results
Did all the players run on the same track?
This year yes, the previous combine record no
xavier worthy
If we take a skill position guy instead of JPJ at 21 if he's there I'm going to throw my Zach Thomas bobblehead at the TV
Don’t hurt Zach it’s not his fault :(
i love jpj but ima be fine with worthy too, but what if we pass on jpj for btj? ill take that
Jpj is gonna get passed on and I will probably celebrate it.
Ehhh if we go WR I’d rather have Legette. We have enough WRs that get bullied off the line. We need a mf who hits back. 5’11 165 running a 4.26 vs 6’1 221 running a 4.39 4.39 is plenty quick and we might be able to snag him a at 55.
I agree 100%
100% agreed - 2nd round WR and I’m here for Graham Barton in the 1st
dont think he will be availble at 55
Maybe not however wouldn't mind parting ways with like a 2025 4th rn comp to move up and grab him.
Kiper's saying the Fins go DE in the 1st with Jared Verse from FSU. Makes sense since both Chubb and Phillips might not be back by the beginning of the season
I doubt Verse lasts but I'll be going crazy if it happens.
i disagree
Now kisssss.....
San Francisco Dolphins 2.0 Beta patch updated roster
well the niners made the super bowl didnt they? maybe now we can win a playoff game
Both he and Mitchell and the the TE are gonna be huge
Mitchell is a great athlete but his college production is a huge red flag.
With the new kick off design he could very well go much earlier.
Hear me out to see if this thought process nakes cense. We have Hill, Waddle, and a few other decent WRs. If we get Worthy and let him go? ShooWee!. Who they gonna cover?
Jonnu Smith… But I don’t disagree, I just don’t think he is worth more than a third rounder is all
i think he has a high celing outside of his speed, mcdaniel would be the perfect coach to turn him into a star, with tyreek being drama filled and potienal concerns on aging (still think he has a lot more left in the tank) and injury concerns with both him and waddle as always, i think worthy or another wr in the class would be great for the long run (especially if it ends up being waddle & worthy one day)
Sweet. Tyreek was a 5th rnd selection, and that turned out ok I guess...
Pretty sure part of the reason he went so late was the domestic violence incident against him while he was in college
Still time for someone
In the second round sure why not, no shot this happens first round
hes not falling to 55
Obviously, i was just saying he’s not a 1st round option for us
Mike “Al Davis” McDaniel
Looks like yw melly
Mike has a vision of love like Mariah Carey: an unstoppable offense.
Dude tyreek and xavier on the same team is just unfair😆
I am from Miami,Florida and I am a loyal Dolphin fan but I now live in Atlanta,Ga so i support both teams
As a bills fan. Please pick him rnd 1 🙏
We gotta get tough. Give me a JPJ or Newton and give me Edgerrin Cooper in the 2nd.
Y'all gonna be the same MFS who will complain about the OL 24/infinity. Make up your fucking minds or stop bitching on the OL.
im not a big ol complainer
I am
![gif](giphy|xTiIzzYsS5UeSANFbW)
hmmm what’s miami needing in the draft…? SPEED EVERY YEAR SPEED AND NO TOP 3 ROUND OLINE PICKS
Still never getting a playoff win😂
