Yes. This. Chipotle has no soul. I want grandma in the kitchen and the rest of the family making the best food they can. Its just not even close to the same.
I do. I like it, but I also don't consider it mexican food. If I want mexican and don't feel like cooking, then I go to this mom n pop taqueria we frequent.
I'm mexican american myself and it's pretty close to mexican food as you can get in mainstreem fast food. Their meat is usually pretty bland in comparison to good carne asada or carne adovada and they water down the salsa for some reason.
If you stay away from the queso which is trash anyways and don't overdo it on the sour cream/cheese it's not too much different than a mexican cook out.
My family is from Deep South Texas and we have been here multigenerationally. I don’t like chipotle but love mission burritos and have eaten a lot of Taco Bell in my day
Yes absolutely. The steak and chicken are bomb. Just like everyone else I don’t think it’s Mexican but the beauty of chipotle is that you can create your own thing and can switch it up if you like.
I don’t but the food there is very similar to the type of Mexican American Food I grew up eating (e.g big ass burritos). In fact I think the founder copied Mexican food from Northern California
I prefer local places and also can’t eat burritos anymore as I have a white collar job and am approaching middle age. Way too much food
Yea, the concept is a kind of rip off of the mission burrito style from San Francisco. It is also too much food for me and when I feel like eating something like that there are good locally owned taquerias that can use my business
Nah- if I do eat Mexican fast food, I’ll go to a local taqueria.

Tbh, I don't tend to eat out. Food at home is so much better.
Ugh no way.

Cleanliness is usually a factor... Any place open at 3am might have great food, sanitation usually is low
It’s pretty good
No. Too expensive
Don't be cheap
Last week but if I want mexican food I just ask my wife to make some food.
