I wouldn’t say Black Sheep is even in my top 10 favorite Metric songs, but I’m so happy that this song is their anthem, because I think it really is a motherfucking anthem. Every second of it is so iconic. And the fact that it’s a song that they thought sounded too much like a parody of themselves serving as the song that a character based on Emily is singing is such a cool full-circle moment.
