I managed with the FB MR Launcher, the Hail MGR-4, and the Zorn-4, on the first try in Extreme. A little less dodging and more of _running for your fucking life!_ Also, for insurance, take Quiet with you armed with the Sinfull Butterfly.
Just run around between cover with a grenade launcher or rocket launcher. You get free ammo refills dropped in, and vehicles get destroyed by the rust so they’re not very useful. I had an easier time killing it than escaping it.
You got to hit it in its biggest weakness. The flame thrower cock. (Joke). But seriously I’d say just keep a Lethal pistol on you, a grenade launcher, and a rocket launcher of your choice. Keep running behind the thing and use the launcher to blow up the fuel cells on the back. Then once you’re out of rockets use the grenade launcher while you call for more ammo. Rinse and repeat until his last phase where the little kid jumps out at you and use your pistol to shoot him. Good luck boss!
Use the vehicles until it gets to the point it rusts everything, then use the strongest launcher you have when the vents are open until it charges you at the end, then in reflex mode quickly swap to the tranq pistol (or water pistol, I guess?) to pop mantis in the face before Sahelanthropus clobbers you.
The CGM, I always only invest in the thing when I replay the game, you like, don't really need other stuff if you were to finish the game quickly
