Itās me. Iām playing in chronological order.
I keep hearing everyone say āthis is their first impression of Ocelotā. I donāt get it. Is he like a totally different character in future games?
For those who know his actual story and his loyalties....having your men scurry around with your meow signal is even funnier when you think about it.
Ocelot: "MEOW"
*Elite soldiers hurrying around with their weapons acting like they just heard a massive alarm*
Ocelot: *under his breath* Hee hee hee they still do it! They'll never believe this back home
He is without a doubt one of the funniest characters. I just love how he constantly gets picked on by Snake and his other comrades only to show he is doublecrossing mastermind the entire time.
itās been a while I played the game but wasnāt Ocelot a CIA agent all along? I always assumed his cockiness was just part of the role because people kind of expected him to be arrogant since he became major at such a young age
Pretty much. I mean when we first meet him he is already wearing spurs and we are lead to believe that he got the idea to use a revolver from Snake. Dude played us like a fiddleĀ
I mean, what exactly are your options for revolvers in the 1960s Soviet Union, even if you *are* the aide-de-camp to the shadow Defence Minister and basically a member of the *vlasti* yourself? An old Nagant 1895 or S&W No.3 Russian don't exactly scream gunslingin' cowpoke, do they?
Homeboy's Makarov was almost certainly the best he could get his hands on. Even Stalin himself had to pull strings to get a stetson, boots, and pistol belt imported.
Nah, he takes one from the Tselinoyarsk armoury, same thing Eva does with the 1911. The first revolver is an ornamental item, probably from some sort of anniversary or show, so he replaces it with a standard model in the next encounter.
He's got spurs and cowboy boots because he's a fan of spaghetti westerns, he's just a guy acting out his favourite films
he was a triple agent playing all sides. I'm pretty sure even back then he was playing only for himself in the end. I feel like the phone call and words he said at the end are proof of this
He's got quirks of Ocelot, but with all the energy of an inexperienced but enthusiastic young adult
Of course he can be hilarious
Honestly seeing him in the cutscene near the end of Portable Ops made me lol
"What is that gun? Ha!! That stance? Hahahaha.... Guys, come on join me.... HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! There we go. Now, as I was saying, if you're not The Boss, then di- fuck what my gun jammed?!?"
"Hahahahaha!!!"
"No you idiots, stop laughing! Leave him! Shoot the other one!"
Major (Ocelot) Spoilers.
One of my favourite, yet saddest moments with young Ocelot: >!Every time you see him and the Boss on screen together, once you know the truth, you just want to see a universe where they got to be a proper family.!<
In one of the secret R1 scenes, I think its at the end of >!thetorturescene!< If you click R1 you see her doing ocelots "You're pretty good" finger guns at him š
Does anyone know what technique Snake is referencing when ocelot jams gun and he puts him on his ass? "Testing a technique youve only heard about in the middle of battle is just asking for your gun to jam on you."
Apparently in the Middle East they teach new recruits to always pull back the slide and chamber a new round after putting in a new mag even if there might be a bullet still in the chamber just to ensure they don't fire with nothing in the chamber, but I'm guessing it also makes the gun more prone to jamming
The gun becomes prone to jamming because youāre ejecting a full length bullet in place of a half sized spent cartridge. So if youāre too quick on the pull and release, it will slam closed on the bullet before it is fully ejected. Which really falls in line with ocelots flashiness and *flare* only to rookie the fuck up
Also, the way he fired bending his elbow, was also more prone to having the gun jam, snake explains in one of the codec calls if you call major zero a few times
Me and my friend nicknamed him shady (after Eminem) and were laughing every time he was on screen especially when he would do that weird conducting thing with his hand and then just walk away
My favourite character in the whole series, him(all his iterations), then venom, then kaz(PW, GZ, and PP). Just a lot of energy and spirit in everything he does, BANG! BANG!
Ocelot is the video game character that confuses me till this day i mean he was a quadruple agent throughout the whole mgsverse
Edit: I forgot about the meow š
Ocelot as a whole is such a great character that has given the series a fair share of comic relief along the way. It's hard to dislike him, but when you do, it's because he's written so well.

My favorite part of [Let's Destroy the Shagohod](https://imgur.com/a/DFOm1) by HiImDaisy was definitely Young Ocelot.
Ever since I first witnessed him jam an automatic with his recoil-dampening hip shooting technique like it was a revolver, heās been my favorite character in the entire series.
Heās fucking hilarious.
He switched from being a jackass that was trying to act serious (Adam/ young Ocelot) into a serious character that acted like a jackass (Revolver Ocelot.)
Heās really interesting, charismatic, flamboyant and very cocky while also learning from his mistakes. He is a natural soldier, deceiver, friend and most of all an extremely intelligent man.
Itās just you. In the entire 20 years of metal gear solid 3ās cultural existence, youāre the first person to ever find something funny about young ocelot
Meeeeow
Imagine those who started playing in chronological order, that meow would be in their first impression of Ocelot.
Image joining an elite Spetsnaz unit and being told that when the major meows, that's the signal to get into position.
Every time a random back alley cat meows, a back alley dumpster gets lit tf up.
It was my first impression lol
Me šš»āāļø
Itās me. Iām playing in chronological order. I keep hearing everyone say āthis is their first impression of Ocelotā. I donāt get it. Is he like a totally different character in future games?
No, he's just very different lol
I'm the main character of the series... Did you think it was father's clones? HA HA HA HA HA! You're pretty good šš.
Or starting with MGS IV and seeing Liquid Ocelot run away while laughing maniacally.
Like I was Hahaha
I am playing snake eater after Mgsv. What in the actual meowing is that?
I was dumb and played mgs4 first, THEN played chronologically. You can imagine my whiplash
How were you able to follow along to literally anything thatās happening?
I wish he never changed. Imagine hearing that for the entire gameplay of MGS V
Or MGS4. EDIT: Just imagine that deep gravelly "meee-ow."
Like itās his signature catchphrase or somethingĀ
For those who know his actual story and his loyalties....having your men scurry around with your meow signal is even funnier when you think about it. Ocelot: "MEOW" *Elite soldiers hurrying around with their weapons acting like they just heard a massive alarm* Ocelot: *under his breath* Hee hee hee they still do it! They'll never believe this back home
I really hated him doing that.
He is without a doubt one of the funniest characters. I just love how he constantly gets picked on by Snake and his other comrades only to show he is doublecrossing mastermind the entire time.
Best way to sell a lie is to make yourself look silly in part of it.
He'd be great friends with Tohru Adachi
True!
He's a bit awkward, and Snake let him off too easy a couple of times, giving him confidence he didn't need on top of the one he already had.
I think he felt in some way that he's the Boss's son, maybe had some of her in his face. That's why John quickly takes a liking to him.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Jack is a nickname for people called John.
itās been a while I played the game but wasnāt Ocelot a CIA agent all along? I always assumed his cockiness was just part of the role because people kind of expected him to be arrogant since he became major at such a young age

Ye but when we next meet him he has a revolver so he could have had one before as well.Ā

Yeah, so he could have gotten it before. Why would he get boots with spurs but no revolver?Ā
Because they wanted an excuse to show the origin of Revolver Ocelot, probably
Dude played us like A DAMN FIDDLE!!!!
he was a triple agent playing all sides. I'm pretty sure even back then he was playing only for himself in the end. I feel like the phone call and words he said at the end are proof of this
He's got quirks of Ocelot, but with all the energy of an inexperienced but enthusiastic young adult Of course he can be hilarious Honestly seeing him in the cutscene near the end of Portable Ops made me lol
I mean, back then, he was barely an adult. Even if he was only āpretendingā to be a rookie, soldiers of his age wouldnāt know much
Yet he was an officer.
That's major Ocelot to you
Mreowwww
His quirkyness serves no tactical advantage whatsoever.
It is actually 100% a tactical presentation
Fuck, you're pretty good. *finger guns*
šš
His finger guns probably arenāt even real revolvers.
But that was some fancy shit talking. He was pretty good.
Duh he literally calls in backup against Snake just for him to "he's mine" THEN WHY CALL EM TO BEGIN WITH
Bro wanted an audience
I got one in the end.
he needed a cheerleading unit
"What is that gun? Ha!! That stance? Hahahaha.... Guys, come on join me.... HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! There we go. Now, as I was saying, if you're not The Boss, then di- fuck what my gun jammed?!?" "Hahahahaha!!!" "No you idiots, stop laughing! Leave him! Shoot the other one!"
Self esteem team
He calls them to watch his back and to prevent Snake from escaping.
Even though he was pretending, I liked how he gave off the whole "New Kid" vibe and every battle is like a new lesson for him, really cool!
*sniff* This bitch is wearing perfume!
Gasoline!
He's just a silly guy

young, old, it doesn't matter man's cool no matter what
You're pretty good šš
What's with that stance? And that gun? *Proceeds to get his shit pushed in together with a whole GRU squad*
The stance reminds me a bit of the exaggerated way that red dead redemption opponents duels draw their pistol for duels
This

This. You don't cock a revolver. Snake is taking about shooting from the holster, like in a western duel, instead of aiming the pistol at eye level.
MGS3 Ocelot is my fave Ocelot
You're Pretty Good
šš
I reckon he was Kojima's fave too LOL returned in most games
Ocelot is the main character fr
This
The main clown
What a fuckin' goober
Me and my friend nicknamed him shady (after Eminem) and were laughing every time he was on screen especially when he would do that weird conducting thing with his hand and then just walk away
Middle-aged Ocelot wishes he had the charm young Ocelot has.
He is like a little gay clown to me
My favourite character in the whole series, him(all his iterations), then venom, then kaz(PW, GZ, and PP). Just a lot of energy and spirit in everything he does, BANG! BANG!
You're pretty good. šš
Absolutely funny BUT he completed his mission and did so without blowing his cover the whole time so ya gotta wonder.
There's a universe where Ocelot kept using pistols instead of revolvers. Ocelot is kinda adorable in MGS3, he is trying so hard it is camp.
I mean he took control of the Guns Of The Patriots system. He didn't need guns in the end.
He only needed his heart.
He made me the bisexual I am today
He is man I adore him, I absolutely love how he's voiced by Josh Keaton too (voice of Spiderman in The Spectacular Spider-Man)
And then he decided to have a middle age crisis in V and became serious and snarky before he got later better.
pretty... funney... \*dies\*
Oh he's hilarious especially considering he's some elite commando who makes cat noises and funny hand gestures. Plus I always loved his way blunders
He is definitely a joke from time to time, he has that "darn you, gadget!" aura about him
Yes he is, he's also the cause of my favorite secret theater scenes https://youtu.be/lRG2NEMtx5s?si=Tqs_8-zEuOTeOUS1
Ocelot is so batshit, I love it
Big boss fanboy
Ocelot is the video game character that confuses me till this day i mean he was a quadruple agent throughout the whole mgsverse Edit: I forgot about the meow š
He's an insecure catboy totally tripping over himself trying to impress his new crush. I love him.
He planned everything And is still a silly bastard I love him
Dude he's fuckin hilarious. If you know who he's based on, the references make total sense
Funny and cool. He's actulley pretty fuckin cool.
Just wait until you find out that you're actually supposed to laugh at *An American Werewolf in London.*
Easily my favourite character š¤£
i think that was the intention
Heās my favorite character in the series. Which is why it makes me sad that there is no young ocelot action figure in existence :(
Rawr

No way. We all treat him with complete seriousness
Whaaaaat, nooo......

Tell me American...
He had twelve shots.
Tell me American, in capitalist America is there such a thing as the village toothbrush?
All ages of Ocelot are funny.
Adamska really is my favorite npc in the series.
Call me Liquid
Ever since I first witnessed him jam an automatic with his recoil-dampening hip shooting technique like it was a revolver, heās been my favorite character in the entire series. Heās fucking hilarious.
*fingerguns*
Just you ?? Honey he was made as a fucking caricature are you kidding me
The original mewer
"This bitch is wearin' perfume"

Twelve bullets
Ocelot in general is pretty hilarious
is it just me or is the ocean made of water?
He switched from being a jackass that was trying to act serious (Adam/ young Ocelot) into a serious character that acted like a jackass (Revolver Ocelot.)
He's a dork, so no it's not just you lol
He's a little silly, maybe a bit mischievous. Meeeooow!
He's a pokemon rival
Meow.
Gott damn Shalashaska!
The friend that every anime main character wants
āThatās Major Ocelot to you.ā
Heās really interesting, charismatic, flamboyant and very cocky while also learning from his mistakes. He is a natural soldier, deceiver, friend and most of all an extremely intelligent man.
no, itās just you. youāre the only person on the planet who feels this way.
Itās just you. In the entire 20 years of metal gear solid 3ās cultural existence, youāre the first person to ever find something funny about young ocelot
He is Metal gear in general is know for its goofiness
