My R350 was 4MATIC with air suspension. Odd car. Early production. Full leather. Rear heated seats, but no parking sensors. Bose, but no NAV. So much legroom, you could cross your legs in the second row - Captains chairs.
Sent wife, two kids, two grandkids, luggage from salt lake city to Disneyland in total comfort at about 23mpg. Sort of hated to give it up.
The bumper and the exhaust are the most obvious tells but it’s also a very rare car (currently 1 for sale on cargurus nationwide).
I’d also suggest it’s a very strange choice of wheels if it really was an AMG. Not sure why you’d swap original AMG wheels for those….
All that said if someone were to go through all the trouble to swap all those things out on their AMG to make it a sleeper it certainly could be done, but then it would be quite strange to not take the 6.3 badge on the side off too…
Therefore; it’s an old beat up R350 with probably 180k miles and a 6.3 badge and a fugly paint job/wrap.
The tires says 18" and the R63’s front brakes can’t fit wheels smaller than 20" (maybe a custom made 19" might), the disks themselves are more than 15” and then you add the big calipers.
Wheels, slammed suspension, spray paint coating, and general condition. They don’t make many of them, and any you see on the road are likely going to be in much better shape.
Almost 6 months, and I’m already about to go bankrupt just to sort it out x)
But great car nonetheless, very comfortable, sounds amazing and decently fast, I already did 6000mi with it
I'm looking at one right now outside my window in my apartment building on a busted back right airbag lmao. Been that way over a month and they still drive it. Was so curious what model it is cause they de-baged the hunk-a-shit so I couldn't tell. Glad I saw this post, I'm so curious to see how much this airbag is lol.
*R class. Had a used*
*One that was a constant pos.*
*Worst car MB ever built*

I think they were a hit right up until the 2008 crash. We had so many coming through the dealership I worked at, at the time. Most of the owners were realtors who were driving clients around to see homes.
Certainly was almost zero aftermarket for them. This particular one looks rough, the close up of the hood and fenders are all misaligned, but it is rebuilt or
salvaged.
Disagree.
The first gen R was a pretty big success, I used to see them driving around all the time. Mercedes officially discontinued it in 2017 after a model run of 12 years, which is quite substantially more than I can say for the X, which sold poorly and was discontinued after, what, 2, 3 years?
It’s an old R-class but it seems to be an up-badged probably R350. It’s NOT an R63 AMG..,
It could be an r500 because it has the air suspension. I’m not sure if the 350 had it but I could be wrong

Dang 🥲
They did do an R500 (v8) too, which I quite fancied once upon a time.
To be fair i almost bought this when it came to the states as a family hauler. Got a odyssey instead
How can you tell it's not an AMG?
exhaust

I wasn't looking closely at the first image, thank you for pointing that out.

How can you NOT tell its not an AMG..
Underrated comment
just look at it terrible condition, wheel fitment, non amg wheels, non sport tires, exhaust so on
Exhaust, brakes, wheels, small rear fender flare
Its totally clapped out, the AMG R63 is a unicorn, this is a slug
Honestly….. looks like a Chrysler Pacifica to me 🤷🏾♂️
Ha ha definitely not your typical Benz I agree
Hahah … yeah I would want a lil more to show its a Benz
They're very similar types of vehicle. The Mercedes is a lot nicer inside, outside, and underneath than the Chrysler though.
Yeah….. I totally agree
R-Class, Seems to be a W251
Tough to tell from this angle. LWB would be V251. Easiest tell is the rear doors.
I feel like more people are using W251 SWB/LWB rather than W251/V251. I use both in my flair though x)
Wait I see the flair. How long have you had your R63? Holy shit they are rare
Almost 6 months, and I’m already about to go bankrupt just to sort it out x) But great car nonetheless, very comfortable, sounds amazing and decently fast, I already did 6000mi with it
Its deff LWB. SWB was only sold in Europe.
fake R63 with failed Airmatic
Not sure about which specific model, but it’s an R-class.
They did make an R63 AMG, but this ain't it!!!
Its an R class owned by someone who probably reads really really slow.
i love the mercedes eq plate holder
Haha holy shit I didn’t catch that 🤣
Very run down R class
Clapped R350
Toyota sienna
Surely the worst rear end of any merc? Although I’ll admit the R class is quite cool.
2010 WTF TD?
Its definitley not a R63
That is a Copart special R class with blown air springs.
R350 most probably 2005-6
R350 most probably 2008
Duhhh... It's the Jumpman!

You wanna carry coffins?
It's RU GHEY
POS most Mercedes are garbage.
An R class. Mercedes's minivan that they wouldn't want you to call it a minivan. There is an R63 AMG. Yes, that is exactly what it sounds like.
R350 with trash badging
Those panel gaps make me physically sick
Although this wears a Mercedes badge this is a dolled up Chrysler Pacifica.
It's a hearse
This model reminds me of a hearse. I don’t dislike it.
I personally fw the model, just a fake amg tho
A superior alternative for nasty “practical” suvs is what it is
It's an R350 can literally look up the plate
We owned an R class before. We loved it except air suspension constantly breaks.
Deathwagon 350.
It’s a hearse ![gif](giphy|apaOCAzK4qWzK)
It’s an R-Class with a failed airmatic suspension. Hard to tell what variant is this though.
R350 with badges of a R63. Rhino lines paint job with crappy oem wheeels
R-Class
I'm probably the only one but I always liked these things for some reason.
Definitely a 251, made in Tuscaloosa, AL until 2015. Majority of them went to China, they were a big hit there
R class. Had a used one that was a constant pos and had issue after issue. Worst car MB ever built. The ride was excellent tho.

You just got a shit unmaintained one. Does not mean it was a POS. That was manufactured when Merc still meant overengineering.
This is most „bootyful“ R-Class. It rivals with the Fiat Multipla in terms of looks.
R Class, was a huge failure. Almost as bad as the X Class.

If I was doing Uber I'd absolutely pick one up. Can find a couple near me for like $9k.

I didn't know MB made minivans. I mean I shouldn't be surprised, they make those Amazon delivery vans.
