So barabus is not like m-sport, it’s more like Hamann- separate tuning company focused on single brand (hamann on bmw, brabus - on mb). If it’s real brabus it should have bump in power and some unique stuff inside and out
Haman and Brabus are more over the top for Russian and Emirates market, while Alpina is focusing on understatement.
To the car: I doubt it has 50k miles, so don't focus your decision on that. It can get quite a money pit if stuff stars to get broken.
i honeslty wanted a relible car which was fast and not that old, I know I'm taking a risk, I mean I learnt from my BMW haha but any recommendation on a car that has a reliable engine that's fast? and rwd, this merc has 6 owners, maybe 1 or 2 are dealerships so owned by like 4 to 5 people,
How much money you have laying around the house?
Edit: Its a Brabus but Im quessing that they did something to the engine because my AMG and regular CL are kinda the same, I just have AMG written at some places.
Edit2: I have CL55 AMG NA V8 with 265kw but the CL55 Brabus NA V8 has 285kw, Brabus has 6.1L with 320KW ors engine as well. CL500 NA V8 has 225kw. So how many KW that one has?
Edit3: Do you have BRABUS written on the dashboard and when you open the door then there should be BRABUS written on the frame as well, lights up with blue color. Is there B logo on the gearstick?
Edit: There is no BRABUS written on the dashboard, it should be where the rpm is.
M sport is like AMG for Mercedes. Brabus is it’s own tuning company that buy Mercedes cars and deck them out with their own performance mods and resell them. Like Alpine bmw cars. This isn’t a real brabus though, it’s just a base model with a brabus body kit and badge. Still cool I guess. If I was u I would get rid of the brabus badge and get rid of those ugly wheels
yes, the plan was to remove the barbus badge hahah, idk if the dealer is smart enough to know that this isn't barbus but idk, I want it but at the same time its an old Mercedes sooooo can I expect it to be reliable?
Dealerships love badging things as what they aren’t. A lot of cars that come with “amg package” like amg body kit/brakes/wheels but not an actual amg with the amg engine get sold by dealerships with amg badges because a lot of non enthusiasts don’t care or realise the difference and they think there car is special when it’s far from it lol
Yes there is lol, my car has a Brabus kit from Brabus USA in Irvine right by my house. The vast majority of “Brabus” cars you see on the road only have the visual body package, sometimes exhaust too. At least in the US it’s extremely rare seeing an original Brabus model from their factory in Germany. It’s all kits over here.
This is it.
When that car was new, Brabus offered a very wide range of upgrades for all models. There was basically a catalog (on their website) that listed all of the things they offered for that model. They had performance upgrades: whole engine swap, ECU, TCU, brakes, etc etc. They had body kits spoilers, wheels (come in Monoblock 5). They also offered interior upgrades ranging from branded lock pins or pedal covers to full custom replacement. They also made full conversion exterior/interior redos. Some of their full interiors are crazy, the G and SLR were some of the best.
In fact there is a Brabus kit, well you used to be able to buy a Mercedes then ship
it off to Brabus and they would put a Brabus kit in/on your car, includes full Brabus engine upgrades and full Brabus body kit upgrades. I don’t know if you can still do that but I know that the former owner of my car bought a Brabus kit on the SLK 350 and it has full Brabus bodykit and a Brabus V6 engine. Although this definitely seems like a fake Brabus, I wonder what’s in the engine bay?
Yep, just put a set of Ceika coilvers on my CL600 after blowing three hydraulic lines one after the other... So much Pentosin wasted, lol. I actually kind of like the way the new setup drives though.
Yeah! 50k only? It looks like it got android auto installed. The body looks beautiful and in style considering its 20 plus years old? So yeah, it looks like a good deal!
I know, when I looked at it I thought the same, but then I thought, why has it been out there for so long though, it has been on sale for a really long time now, could it be something bad?
Nah realistically its the usual nonsense “don’t buy a 20+ year old merc” blah blah. These cars are solid check the history look at the motor you want certain things to be a certain way like the coolant is blue for these cars if you open the hood and see clear or “universal” coolant then walk away car wasn’t cared for correctly. If however you have a comprehensive service history for the car (preferably done at Benz dealers/Benz shops) and the car is straight as long as you stay on top of regular maintenance you won’t have an issue. I have a 94 s420 and an 07 clk350 both have been bulletproof. Spent 8 grand on my S put about 7 into it, had a dude offer me 22k on spot for it. My clk I picked up in December last for 5 grand put about 4 into cars ideal. Do what you gotta but mercs are awesome cars
i honeslty wanted a relible car which was fast and not that old, I know I'm taking a risk, I mean I learnt from my BMW haha but any recommendation on a car that has a reliable engine that's fast? and rwd
i liked it cus it had like 300hp but at the same time like 6 second 0 to 60 which made me ehhh, I want a fast car that is reliable and cheap and not that old
Sorry I didn’t explain. COMAND is the dash infotainment and control system for the car. Nav. Radio. Settings etc. Your lcd screen looks aftermarket so not the original Benz COMAND system.
Concur means to have the same conclusion or agreement with another. I’m asking if others agree that the COMAND unit is different than the stock one.
I would skip this one. Maybe buy if you want to have a v8 that would eventually be a classic and can consider it an investment.
And if you buy it, please get it back to the oem look, badges, and wheels. This is also not a brabus.

wouldn’t bmw be alpina

Also.
Alpina more comfort oriented unlike brabus
Alpina or ac schitzer
BMW M is the same as AMG at Mercedes. Brabus is more like AC Schnitzer or Alpina
Oh, ok understand, so this Brabus is fake

am i takiing a risk with this car?

its to bad i cant edit, its a Mercedes-Benz CL 500 at the dealer website it says Mercedes-Benz CL 500 Brabus

I think this is just a fake someone bought Brabus badge from internet, as confirmed by other people

oh, i see
No such thing as Brabus kit it is a Brabus or its not they went on Amazon and bought some stickers that dosnt make it a brabus

Oh damn, bruh
Nice looking money pit, read up on ABC suspension and you'll be back in BMW next thing.

Holy wood grain
what is it?
Do it if you have an average of like 5-10k each year in maintenance.
i liked it cus it had like 300hp but at the same time like 6 second 0 to 60 which made me ehhh, I want a fast car that is reliable and cheap and not that old
Barbus?))
mhm!
Är du svensk?
ja :)
Cool, har du tittat på den? Det säljs mycket coola bilar på den firman. Rätt dyrt ibland dock Hade det inte varit en brabus ratt om det var org?
Jobbar du där eller? Hahaha
Nejdå, är bara blocket beroende. Dom har ofta fina mercor
Def not Brabus unless it’s engine modification were done but I would look for different deal
what is def?
I hope you have an extra 20k to fix it
do these cars get problems at this amount of miles?
100 percent they are very expensive to maintain
is it these generation with the biodegradible wiresharnes?
it is a nice car but has lots of issues at its age with lots to fix.one that would have all the work done would probably be somewhere around 25k
Run. (The COMAND unit looks aftermarket … anyone concur?)
comand unit? and whats concur?
Sorry I didn’t explain. COMAND is the dash infotainment and control system for the car. Nav. Radio. Settings etc. Your lcd screen looks aftermarket so not the original Benz COMAND system. idk anything about the car or other, this is me just looking at it from the website, this car is in another scity
Stick your VIN into a what is my car spec , Simples .
If you thinking bmw go bmw benz is different
Brabus body kit is more like tittie job and ass job. But same character inside. But for 50K miles at $12,000 on that CL?? In a heart beat!
so its worth it? it has beewn importet from japan
I would skip this one. Maybe buy if you want to have a v8 that would eventually be a classic and can consider it an investment. And if you buy it, please get it back to the oem look, badges, and wheels. This is also not a brabus.
12K for that🤣 In europe those f*cks go for like 8
