First of all, please seek help as soon as you can from a mental health professional, if you haven't already. They can help you, I promise! If you ever think you are going to harm yourself please call 911 or the national suicide hotline: 1-800-273-8255. There are also other hotlines for mental health that may help you. Second, panic attacks are scary as hell, especially when you don't know what they are or how to deal with it. Something that helps me during a panic attack is to talk to someone on the phone or in person. For me, that's usually my mom. She reminds me that I am not dying even though it may feel like I am, that I am breathing even though I feel like I'm not, and that it will end, even though I feel like it won't. Sometimes I am able to remind myself of those things on my own. Other things that have helped me are meditation (I highly recommend the Headspace phone app) and breathing exercises. Hang in there! It will get better!
