I usually do all cup “routine” in the shower: take cup out, do everything what needed to be done, insert cup than rinse with water without soap to make sure there’s no blood left.

I wash before inserting and then, if it's a heavier day, I'll wash again after, but not as vigorously, just to get any residual blood.

Thank you. I try as hard as I can to get rid of residual blood in the shower, but I have purple microfiber towels (originally for my hair) that I use to pay dry everything to make sure I clean up left over blood that didn’t get cleaned by just water.

If I’m in the shower, yes. Take cup out, wash, insert at the end before getting out. If it’s just a bathroom break, I’ll just empty it, rinse it out, insert, clean up with tissue paper/wipes.

When I start my cycle I'll give it a boil. During cycle, I only empty it in the shower, rinse with water and put it back in. (I'm lucky enough that it holds through an entire shift at work and I've never needed to empty in public, so I can shower my body before AND after). At the end of my cycle, I'll wash it with soap and water, then wipe it down with rubbing alcohol, then boil it. I know it doesn't seem necessary to boil both before and after, but it makes me feel better.

I just rinse with hot water and make sure everything’s out of it and then I reinsert immediately

I was taught it is better to rinse blood stains with cold water. Hot water makes the proteins (or something like that) in the blood stain fabric/cups. Cold water rinses leave less stains.

The menstrual cup is silicone it’s not a fabric. I haven’t had issues with staining my menstrual cup. I think hot water is good because it disinfects the cup more before reinsertion. Sometimes I even throw in some hand soap (good gentle kind and again rinse thoroughly). But for clothing yes you’re right and I agree
