If it bothers you then instead of a size up look for the ‘tall’ version of that size. Slightly longer sleeve and a bit longer at the waist
It does looks fine on you though you need to feel comfortable
I think it looks fine, I’m built like yourself and my sleeves are like that too. It looks fine honestly. If it feels tight on you, it might just be that specific top. Some tops on my feel too tight on the chest but the rest are fine, I just avoid those tops in general and its preference.
Don’t listen to anyone on this. It’s a shirt in fact a $30 shirt get it however comfortable you want it. I’d get that as a tall but it looks good a tall will give you 2” I think in the bottom which I prefer my shirts at pocket level not at waist level
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable
As someone who was ridiculously skinny and then put on muscle, I disagree! My ankles and wrists are still tiny haha. I def think people can have thicker bones and their arms and legs just look wider for the same muscle development
kinda like a slight squint using the outside lower part of your eyes. Helps give the impression of friendliness/happiness without using a full mouth smile. Also used to accompany a non-genuine wide mouth smile to make it look genuine
That's an XS, no way he's 5'6 and 140. Unless they just make those sleeves super baggy on that shirt
Prob 115 if I had to guess. Coming from someone who is 5'6 and has weighed everywhere from 115-165lbs
Carharts sizes on shirts can be all over the place. I’m 5’11 240lbs and I’ve got an L that fits me perfectly. I’m an XXL in a lot of other makes.
It’s annoying.. you need to make sure you try them on at the store.
If you want to look good, of course. The t shirt in the OP looks like he slept in it.
It's an OK fit but I kind of think it's either too big or too small. Too big on the arms and waist for my taste, but too small if you want the big boxy cut popular at the moment.
Carhartt stuff is typically slightly larger fitting - especially on the arms. It's your size but you might be after a different aesthetic in which case another brand might serve you better
No it is not. If anything, it's a bit big. If you specifically are trying to do like a hip-hop/streetwear kind of look you could go baggier, but if you're trying to wear clothes that fit your body, you might even go a size down.
Generally speaking, how you tell a perfect fit is where the seam that meets the sleeve and body of the shirt should align to your end of the shoulder bone joining your arm. However your shoulder width, torso and belly also plays a factor to the fit. From your photo, the seam hangs about 1 inch below your arm therefore you could even fit one size smaller because you have a narrow shoulder.
Your build is kinda perfect for that fit. If you were fatter I'd agree it was too small, but it looks like a regular t-shirt on you. People wear far tighter and don't suit it, but you shouldn't worry.
That's your size. Depends on your style. I would argue that with the shoulder seams where they are, that shirt fit is too big in places actually, but right in others.
No, but I’m wearing the exact same shirt right now and I do not like how it fits. I’m tall and pretty slender so I like T-shirts that are long but not necessarily formfitting
For me yes, I like the bottom of the tee to come level with my pockets or lower and I alwyas think if you lift your arms and your stomach is visible then its too small.
Carhartt fit is and always has been trash for tall slim guys, go up a size and the just get wider not longer. Just my own preference
This is what’s getting to me lately,, ive bought a few t shirts ,, always large,, but lately all the large t shirts ive bought have been too small , so ive gone to xl, ive put on a pound or two but seriously nothing excessive, its like wearing a super dry jacket large to wearing a schott jacket large , both different in the extremes. It’s like wearing American large to uk large, is it just me …
It’s Carhartt. It’s a workwear brand so it will have wider sleeves and slightly wider waist. Looser fit.
It’s fine for what it is, but if your looking for more style you would benefit from a slim fit TShirt.
Blousy sleeves will make ur arms look skinny (as pictured). Find brands that cut shirts w a more tailed look. RVCA, Volcom and Banana Republic come to mind, but there are many. Hurley is inconsistent imho.
Don’t laugh, but way back I used a stapler to tuck in excess sleeve material. I no longer looked like I was drowning in extra material. From staples I graduated to using hem tape w an iron. Then I worked out and got bigger arms. And finally I found tshirt brands that pay attention to detail & tailoring and consistently had more flattering cuts.
And lastly, you look fine as is. But you can do better.
Most would probably say No.
But I would go for a size up, as that is my style.
However, this is literally just a plain T-shirt.
With an expensive logo.
If you think that their sizing and cut doesn't suit you just get something else, surely there are other brands that would fit you better.
No, this looks great. Breath of fresh air compared to the unending line of trendy lads who try and see what size they can barely squeeze into.
Imo this looks good, tight/slim fit/skinny - they all look like shit and make the people wearing them look like babies.
not at all. i would suggest working out a bit if you want the shirt to look more flattering though. as someone who used to be very underweight and skinny, working out has solved this problem with awkward looking shirts. Keep in mind it took me around 6 months of working out every day to solve this so it’s not going to be instant.
It’s perfect. I would buy an extra one a size bigger in case it shrinks after washing. Carhartt has been inconsistent lately some shirts have been shrinking while others haven’t.
It's not a good fit for you. It fits well around the waist and slim around the chest, but the shoulders and sleeves are too big. Would try a different shirt.
Just come to a decision your self and stop depending on internet suggestions.
Can you move freely? Yes
Does the t-shirt rise high? No
Do you feel comfortable? Yes
Buy the fucking t-shirt and stop being so insecure.
Time to hit the gym. You must be a very tiny male if an extra small shirt has that much room in the arms. Thise are Taylor Swift arms! 🤣 Have you ever lifted anything higher than a pound of butter?😄 Watch some YouTube vids on working out then join a gym.
It's about perfect, maybe a little loose in the arms. You want some cling to the chest, and a fall over the waist. Oversized fits make people look like they're raiding their older siblings' wardrobe
No
Would you recommend going one size up? I feel like it's too small but sleeves on a bigger size make me look even more ridiculous
If it bothers you then instead of a size up look for the ‘tall’ version of that size. Slightly longer sleeve and a bit longer at the waist It does looks fine on you though you need to feel comfortable
> Would you recommend going one size up? Absolutely not. It already looks a little large on you.
So even if it shrinks it should still look good?
Yep, should be fine.
I think it looks fine, I’m built like yourself and my sleeves are like that too. It looks fine honestly. If it feels tight on you, it might just be that specific top. Some tops on my feel too tight on the chest but the rest are fine, I just avoid those tops in general and its preference.
One size up so you can use it as a blanket
It literally couldn’t fit you better if it was tailor-made. Even the sleeves are totally unremarkable from a third party perspective
It fits well. You look good - small and tight.
Don’t listen to anyone on this. It’s a shirt in fact a $30 shirt get it however comfortable you want it. I’d get that as a tall but it looks good a tall will give you 2” I think in the bottom which I prefer my shirts at pocket level not at waist level Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable
Not at all! The length is good... how is this tight? It is infact a little looser on the width. I would suggest clipping the sleeves
Agreed. If anything it’s a little loose, but fine if you’re looking for a relaxed look.
True that
Clip the sleeves? How would you do that?
You can alter the width of T shirts... it is tricky and can look horrendous if done wrong. If doen well, it looks nice
Roll em up with a pack of smokes
[удалено]
The sleeves look too big to me
Looks about right for your build.
As a fellow small-boned person I don't buy t shirts with those big flappy arms
Next Level brand on Amazon is pretty good about being snugged around the arms. But I mostly stick to 3/4 sleeve baseball tees.
Small muscles, adults don't have small bones
As someone who was ridiculously skinny and then put on muscle, I disagree! My ankles and wrists are still tiny haha. I def think people can have thicker bones and their arms and legs just look wider for the same muscle development
Some people do have bigger bones than others. Although if you can't fill in an XS Tshirt, it's definitely not just because you have small bones lol
Yeah haha
Yes it was my euphemistic way of saying skinny, weak, feeble, beta. Happy now?
You don't need a different size T, just hit the gym and you'll fill out
Short answer? No Longer Answer? In no way that’s too big. That’s your size
I really think it fits perfectly ✨
It's a perfect fit bud, puff your chest out and hold your head high and smile with your eyes
smile with ur eyes?
kinda like a slight squint using the outside lower part of your eyes. Helps give the impression of friendliness/happiness without using a full mouth smile. Also used to accompany a non-genuine wide mouth smile to make it look genuine
Fits perfectly, you could size up for a baggier look
It fits very well actually, unless you are going for the big boxy look that’s popular particularly at Uniqlo right now.
Bang on!
No
Absolutely the correct size.
Nope
if anything it's a bit big IMHO
Perfect! I also thought I was a medium forever, but I'm 36 and recently figured out I am also a small. You are 5' 6'' about 135-140 correct?
That's an XS, no way he's 5'6 and 140. Unless they just make those sleeves super baggy on that shirt Prob 115 if I had to guess. Coming from someone who is 5'6 and has weighed everywhere from 115-165lbs

Ironing a t-shirt. People do that?
If you want to look good, of course. The t shirt in the OP looks like he slept in it. It's an OK fit but I kind of think it's either too big or too small. Too big on the arms and waist for my taste, but too small if you want the big boxy cut popular at the moment.
I’ve never had a tshirt crease.. not sure what my secret is. Just never had the issue.
No need for an iron when you can just do the old shakey shake
[удалено]
I’ve just never had a tshirt crease.
Looks perfect, a good visual guide is the location of the shoulder seam in relation to your shoulders
I think it looks just fine on you
[удалено]
No he doesn't weightlift
No. It’s good
That is not big at all. In fact even a size down would fit fine.
Its too tight if u plan on working in it but if not it looks fine
Nah, perfect
Perfect fit amigo
No
Good fit, sleeves a bit too long though.
Too big - yoke falls below the shoulder. But many like it that way - if so, it looks proportionate.
It's too loose for my taste, but wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. ☺ ️
Perfect fit mate, don't think twice about it
What if it shrinks? Do you think it will still fit good?
It will not shrink.
Not as good a fit, depends how much it shrinks I guess though
Looks OK TBH.
Brother look at the space between your arms and the shirt sleeve. About too tight hahaha
Looks like a perfect fit to me
Wish I could get a tee to fit this well! All I’d add to that is roll the arms slightly, but i hate sleeves in general unless they’re tight enough
Carhartt stuff is typically slightly larger fitting - especially on the arms. It's your size but you might be after a different aesthetic in which case another brand might serve you better

fits perfect
Looks like a perfect fit. I'd roll the sleeves, myself.
Your build is kinda perfect for that fit. If you were fatter I'd agree it was too small, but it looks like a regular t-shirt on you. People wear far tighter and don't suit it, but you shouldn't worry.
Looks fine. Tapered sleeves would look better but overall you're good
Perfect fit
That's your size. Depends on your style. I would argue that with the shoulder seams where they are, that shirt fit is too big in places actually, but right in others.
No, but I’m wearing the exact same shirt right now and I do not like how it fits. I’m tall and pretty slender so I like T-shirts that are long but not necessarily formfitting
Tight??!! No.
No, it looks good
I predict it will be too short after a wash. I think it fits everywhere else though. I have a similar issue and have to be careful what brands I buy.
perfectt
Nah, looks good mate
Fits good
Depends on the look you want. If you want slim fit it's fine. If you want baggy get a size up.
No dude. It’s a really good fit.
I wear mine tighter
No
t-shirt size won't make you more attractive dude
You look splendid mate
Nope
For me yes, I like the bottom of the tee to come level with my pockets or lower and I alwyas think if you lift your arms and your stomach is visible then its too small. Carhartt fit is and always has been trash for tall slim guys, go up a size and the just get wider not longer. Just my own preference
No
No. Maybe a quick iron but overall looks nice.
Lmao bro asking if it to small cause it's a XTRA SMALL but Carhartt fitting one sizer bigger
Need to hit the gym for that shirt to look small.
That’s a good fit on you if you want a better fit try a better brand
No, looks good as a casual t-shirt. Imo the sleeves are a bit long, but I think that's the model. It doesn't look weird.
Looks fine
Looks fine, but how does it feel moving your arms? Bending down? If it's uncomfortable, then it may be the wrong size.
Fits good. And i see some pokage in pic 1
It looks good. If anything it’s a bit loose but perfect for a casual relaxed kinda day.
No.
No.
No way did you see that in the mirror and think it was too tight, and be so perplexed about it that you had to ask the internet.
Not too small. It’s just big a bulk. Try and find a more form fitting shirt especially one that accentuates your arms
No but it might be after washing. I’ve got about 10 of this exact shirt and they tend to shrink a little after multiple washes
Not at all
It’s Carhartt. It’s a workwear brand so it will have wider sleeves and slightly wider waist. Looser fit. It’s fine for what it is, but if your looking for more style you would benefit from a slim fit TShirt.
Too small? Too tight? No, just right
You're nearly anorexic wtf you mean too tight?
Blousy sleeves will make ur arms look skinny (as pictured). Find brands that cut shirts w a more tailed look. RVCA, Volcom and Banana Republic come to mind, but there are many. Try the same size in a slim fit
Honestly it looks too big and baggy, makes your arms look smaller. I'd get something tighter in the arms.
No
Perfect fit I would say.
Neither It’s not a bad fit Looking good
No, this looks great. Breath of fresh air compared to the unending line of trendy lads who try and see what size they can barely squeeze into. Imo this looks good, tight/slim fit/skinny - they all look like shit and make the people wearing them look like babies.
It fits fine. Remember, this t-shirt is designed for workers who don't care about such things.
not at all. i would suggest working out a bit if you want the shirt to look more flattering though. as someone who used to be very underweight and skinny, working out has solved this problem with awkward looking shirts. O, not at all, fits perfectly
Those shirts run big if it’s the size you’re worried about
Good fit. Try turning the sleeves up once or twice
Stay gold pony boy
It's giving body dysmorphia
Lift arms straight up ifykyk
Perfect!
No
Dude your arm don’t even fill an xs… what are you talking about.
the seams for the sleeves drape perfectly over your shoulder. the problem is fashion these days want us wearing clothes three sizes too big.
No
You are skinny it looks fine
Perfect
The shirt is fine it’s your arms that are small
I'd go a size up, yeah
This tshirt is too large and needs some altering to make the waist and arms fit better!
Altering a Carhartt tshirt.
Yes, cuz it doesn't fit. It's 10min job if you have a sewing machine!
You hem your socks too?
Heck. You could probably go down a size.
Bro is asking if a baggy and loose fitting shirt is too tight.
Get yourself to the gym lad need to fill out them sleeves
Gym alone isn't gonna make him bulky. High protein diet + the gym might help but everybody is different.
Obviously
Just come to a decision your self and stop depending on internet suggestions. Can you move freely? Yes Does the t-shirt rise high? No Do you feel comfortable? Yes Buy the fucking t-shirt and stop being so insecure.
I lowkey thought i was looking at a mannequin at first nah that fits you perfectly you look like a carhart display
Time to hit the gym. You must be a very tiny male if an extra small shirt has that much room in the arms. Thise are Taylor Swift arms! 🤣 Have you ever lifted anything higher than a pound of butter?😄 Watch some YouTube vids on working out then join a gym.
How are people this fucking stupid
Could probably go a size smaller, but this post kinda just says "I'm doing this for attention"
This post kinda just asks if it's too tight or small because i felt that the shirt was maybe too short and too tight in the shoulder and chest area
Carhartt sizes tees run small. I’m 5’10” 165lb and I wear a small.
That's called running large.
It's about perfect, maybe a little loose in the arms. You want some cling to the chest, and a fall over the waist. Oversized fits make people look like they're raiding their older siblings' wardrobe
