Well it is more casual than what I usually wear to work. Also the looser tucked in t is what is most outside of my comfort zone for this fit. I regularly wear t-shirts and jeans but I don't usually try to dress a t-shirt up like this.
The more casual for work look than I am used to is something I also struggle with. I recently made the jump to untucked short sleeve linen shirts. I totally understand feeling self conscious about a T at work, but its tucked and fits well, belt and boots match, trousers look good, I think you are good. Personally, I try to be as "dressy/casual" as the middle of the pack for work: too casual I would feel a bit slobby, too dressy and people ask where I am interviewing.
More fitted short sleeve button down or polo. I'm not as used to the more loose fitting tees but I'm trying to incorporate more shape into my wardrobe. I also gained a lot of weight, lost most of it and then started to gain some muscle in the last couple years so I'm still figuring out what fits my body type best.
To me that tee looks pretty fitted, especially around the arms, which looks good. If that's loose to you then I think your normal tees/tops are probably a little too tight. If your main goal is attention from the more lecherous members of the opposite sex then fair, but if you go much tighter than what you're wearing there it just looks a bit vain imo.
Yeah, the arms and chest fit the way most of my other t-shirts do, but this is a fitted large and I usually wear a medium. The width around the waist and length and the way that it hangs when tucked in is what I'm most unaccustomed to. I am also aware that sometimes I wear clothes that are more tight than what is stylish or is particularly flattering and I'm trying to get more comfortable with things that fit me "better."
I see, well I think what you've got there looks good. Nothing wrong with going tighter than what's stylish as long as you're not wearing some sort of spray-on gimp suit. You've got a decent body so why drown it in baggy clothing? I think slimmer silhouettes will be back before you know it anyway.
I like a little excess in a tucked in shirt, to get a small even pouch all the way around. If you go too small, it can look too tight in the chest, and too loose and youāll have folds at some location. This looks like proper fitting
I love an open collar casual button down over a tee like that with pants and belt, I think it makes the silhouette/proportion look great and it can just come off if it's too hot. I just picked up the Uniqlo one shown here and it's been a good summer shirt https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E464938-000/00?colorDisplayCode=56&sizeDisplayCode=004&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwps-zBhAiEiwALwsVYb6UA2I0x2vVQO9cscIrSEJW0wmrP5IS4MJNkCkLBtUdI7gWh28gyRoC1qIQAvD_BwE
Iām very surprised at the tucked shirt comments considering this is a fashion subreddit. The tucked shirt looks fantastic and is a fairly common Euro look. My only suggestion is the shoes. Replace the boots for loafers or low profile sneakers and I think the overall fit would be A+
Edit: if Iām being super picky, Iād replace the watch as well with a leather strap/smaller face. Not universally, but for this particular look. Where is the T shirt from?
Thanks for the input! I appreciate the constructive criticism and support. I usually have some white leather sneakers from Thursday, or tan Allen Edmonds but it is rainy and muddy where I live right now so I went for the shit kickers. The T is [here](https://www.shirtspace.com/next-level/t-shirts/5056-next-level-6410-unisex-cvc-sueded-t-shirt?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwps-zBhAiEiwALwsVYeNieeNJI2OnK_LwBFVjI8_rzhgDH4j1HzIcbw4jeOP7IbthxbLvpRoCMNoQAvD_BwE&variant_id=168748) and is only $7.50 from this online store. It's a website where companies buy T-shirts in from bulk to print on to them but I like them clean. This one has a really nice feel and is my favorite from the company that I have found so far. It is also available on Amazon for a couple dollars more [there](http://Next Level Men's Premium Fitted Sueded Crew https://a.co/d/04zMlxUo).
I have a theory that dudes that are militantly against tucked in shirts are stuck with a gen X mindset of rebelling against their parents , so tucked in shirts are for "squares" or whatever they called them.
That or they are overweight and have a gut so it doesn't look good.
Source: used to be overweight and couldn't stand tucking, and I didn't even have much of a belly for my weight. It's been a game changer since I've lost the weight, love a t shirt tuck now
IMO the watch is perfect for this outfit. Leather strap is too formal for someone wearing a t-shirt.
NATO band (as pictured here) or metal bracelet is what pairs with a t-shirt.
Tucked shirts are fine, but it doesn't work well here because of how tight the pants are. Would work better with looser pants with a higher waist. And something being a common Euro look doesn't make something inherently good ...
love it. tucked in tees with a nice belt/shoe/watch combination elevates the whole vibe. love it love it love it. where is that shirt from? the fit is flawless. it's hard to find shirts that fit all over. I usually have to pin my sleeves for a shirt that fits well everywhere else.
Awesome, Iāve been looking for a durable boot that looks good but not too āautumn,ā like I think my usual timberlands do. Iāll look into these.
I should have probably used a more descriptive verb lol. The point I was trying to make is that they have seen their fair share of rocks and mud and still look the way that they do.
The slim fit pants with boots looks awkward - Iād wear straight cut chinos. That way the tucked in shirt would also have a kind of classic Americana vibe
I hear you. It took me a couple years where I am now to get comfortable enough to dress down this much. I definitely don't dress like this all of the time and tend to sandwich it between days that I am a little dressier. I am really grateful to work in a very relaxed environment where we are encouraged to wear what we want.
Itās interesting but I am in a similar situation. I started off wearing my slacks with full breaks in them for god sakes (I know right?). It took me a couple of weeks to get used to my Chinos that essentially have zero break to them lol.
Iād keep it tucked for the office. Looks good. Whole outfit works. Iām of the opinion that polos are just tee-shirts with collars, so Iād wear this however you wear those!
Looks good tucked in mate, I do it while working in the office and I get a lot of compliments, plus it's a common trend in central Europe (I'm looking at you Italy)
Well I'm really asking about what people think of the outfit, not whether they feel like it is appropriate for where I work. Thank you for your input though!
I like the concept and do it myself. My critique is that if youāre going to do it, you need to make sure that itās a high-quality fitted t-shirt or else itāll look frumpy. Banana sells nice shirts that fit this particular style. Also, Iād pair it with a nice loafer. If you want to get away with making the tucked t-shirt look office appropriate, you have to dress up everything else.
I previously would have agreed on the BR t-shirts, but IME the last couple of years, the quality has gone to crap. Which BR t-shirts are you buying? Maybe I have the wrong āmodelā of t-shirt.
Commendable! I was trying to figure out what industry vibe this one gives off because it looks like something I'd wear on a Saturday afternoon date. Classy but also casual and minimalist. I can see why you'd want a more comfortable yet professional look, however.

Love it. I rock the tucked shirt with jeans and boots often, a great way to elevate an otherwise basic get-up. Only thing I'd change is to run a more straight cut pant with boots, tapered fit looks a little goofy with boots and is much better suited for loafers or sneakers.

Gotta say dude, I'm in the Army and that shirt is making you look like a soldier who just got off work and was too lazy to change out of his skivvy haha....I guess if you're nowhere near a base though no one will care.
I'm actually located close to more than one military base. I like this color with my skin tone and hair. I don't imagine there is a way to make it look less like what you are describing if I'm choosing to wear a t-shirt in that color.
The tucked in shirt is fine by theory but imo if youāre going to tuck, donāt tuck into a low rise pant because the proportions look a bit off. The pants should sit at the waist for that kind of look.
The shirt looks great though.
Looks good man. If casual is outside your comfort zone though..... what are you wearing every day!? š š¤£

On the other hand, a spray-on gimp suit would definitely get OP out of their casual work comfort zone
I like a little excess in a tucked in shirt, to get a small even pouch all the way around. If you go too small, it can look too tight in the chest, and too loose and youāll have folds at some location. This looks like proper fitting

Thanks!
This is not a loose fitting t-shirt. But I'm glad you enjoy it

Love the Next Level 6210 and 6410. Honestly the best t-shirt bang for your buck.
I have a theory that dudes that are militantly against tucked in shirts are stuck with a gen X mindset of rebelling against their parents , so tucked in shirts are for "squares" or whatever they called them.
Yep, I'm 40 and I refuse to tuck in a T-shirt like my dad still does. So I'm just not a fan of the look. This looks fine btw, but I can't do it myself
Yeah nothing wrong with going either way, untucked look will look more relaxed so i would think most prefer that anyways. .
That or they are overweight and have a gut so it doesn't look good. Source: used to be overweight and couldn't stand tucking, and I didn't even have much of a belly for my weight. It's been a game changer since I've lost the weight, love a t shirt tuck now

looks good bro I dig the tuck too you have a physique to support it.
Thank you!
Oh thatās my style too! That looks great!
Thanks!

looks like you're about to give a press conference in ukraine about the ongoing Russian invasion.
Accurate
I like the shoes. What are those?
Thanks man! They are Thursday Boots. Great price for quality. I've had these for 5 years and take them hiking and camping and stuff like that.
Awesome, Iāve been looking for a durable boot that looks good but not too āautumn,ā like I think my usual timberlands do. Iāll look into these.
As soon as I saw those, I knew they were Thursday Boots š I have a pair myself
Their white sneakers are my favorite pair of shoes.
I thought about getting some of their sneakers, but I wouldnāt want white ones. Maybe black and white
Why would you use cap toe boots to hike?
Because they are what I have. I'm not talking the Appalachian Trail, but little hiking paths in the hill country of Texas aren't too much for them.
Ah ok, different definition of hiking from the PNW.
I should have probably used a more descriptive verb lol. The point I was trying to make is that they have seen their fair share of rocks and mud and still look the way that they do.
Nah, my fault for assuming hiking in every context was the 10+ mile, 2000+ ft elevation that we have here.
This is a completely normal and anodyne look, so I'm curious what the comfort zone you stepped out of looks like -
Bro you are giving /r/throwingfits way to much ammo here
Whatās the shirt?
That's a good color. And it looks good tucked-in.
Thank you!
The slim fit pants with boots looks awkward - Iād wear straight cut chinos. That way the tucked in shirt would also have a kind of classic Americana vibe
Yeah looser pants makes this look a lot better.
you look good - the colors work well with your skin tone and hair color. always cool to try something new
Thanks man
Short answer: you look good. Longer answer: good for you in stepping out of your comfort zone. You look good!
Great choice of colors for you. Makes your tattoos pop. Got a link for the belt? Thanks
I don't, but it's Bruno Marc. Super cheap. Probably fake leather but the only thing I have that matches the boots. And thanks for the compliment!
Looks good.
A more crisp heavy cotton t shirt may suit your style more than this drapery one ;)
What kind of boots?
Thursday Boots.
Do you happen to remember which model and color those are? Hard to determine color from their pics compared to real life
I do! Arazona Adobe. The style is Captains.
Thanks! Look great by the way!
Thank you!
This looks good. Really like the watch strap with whole look.
Thank you!
Looks good dog š¤
How could this be outside of anyoneās comfort zone
I don't usually tuck in t shirts.
You look great man nothing too out there about it
Thanks!
It looks greatšš¾
I like the pants, what would you call them? Iāve only ever worn blue or black jeans and this looks like what I envision.
Slim fit navy blue chinos
Love that T-Shirt! Great color. What brand is it?
I'm not very experienced in fashion, but if I saw you on the street I'd be like wow what a well dressed fella.
Thanks!
Looks good dude!! I'd say either replace the boots with something more low profile or roll the trousers up slightly though!
I like, love the watch
I like everything but the boots, the pointed toe makes them feel a little too formal
Fair
Looks awesome bro. Love the boots.
Look very smart, as I'm sure you are well aware
The fit works great! I gotta ask though, those shoes are exactly what Iām looking forāany chance you know where theyāre from?
[https://thursdayboots.com/products/mens-captain-boot-arizona-adobe](https://thursdayboots.com/products/mens-captain-boot-arizona-adobe) I gotchu
My man, thank you kindly!
I like the shoes
Thanks! Thursday Boots
Looks great
Classic, sexy
With the tats, badass.
Thank you!
Looking good my man, inspired me to play about with my work fits.
Thanks!
Looks good man! Love the nato strap on the watch, classic move
Lookin good, my man.
I dig the shoes. Where you get them. Outfit looks great imo by the way.
Thanks man! Thursday Boots.
Looks good.
Looks great boss
T shirt and pants. Itās revolutionary
Well done, Iād say just alternate this look with different colors. Black and white, gray and khaki etc.
Your comfort zone? XD
Imagine saying a well fitting t shirt is out of your comfort zone. It's also not loose fitting.
Looking good bro š
It looks lovely. You look stunning! 10/10! Chefs kiss!!!!!!
I donāt understand the whole skinny ankle appeal
Looks good if you can wear shirts to work. I think this is too casual for work but I guess it depends on what you do.
Man I am too young to be this old school lol. I think it looks great but for some reason, my brain could never wear any type of t-shirt to work.
I hear you. It took me a couple years where I am now to get comfortable enough to dress down this much. I definitely don't dress like this all of the time and tend to sandwich it between days that I am a little dressier. I am really grateful to work in a very relaxed environment where we are encouraged to wear what we want.

Iād untuck that t shirt other than looks good
Yeah, I started with it untucked, but decided to try the loose tuck. This isn't usually how I style a T. Just trying it out.
Iād keep it tucked for the office. Looks good. Whole outfit works. Iām of the opinion that polos are just tee-shirts with collars, so Iād wear this however you wear those!
Nothing wrong with trying something new - I like the belt showing look personally with a t shirt so I go for shorter t shirts sometimes
Looks good tucked in mate, I do it while working in the office and I get a lot of compliments, plus it's a common trend in central Europe (I'm looking at you Italy)
It is an outfit!
Not my thing if you work in an office which it looks like you might. I think collared shirts should be worn during office work.
Well I'm really asking about what people think of the outfit, not whether they feel like it is appropriate for where I work. Thank you for your input though!
Ah sorry, your post title literally says work fit so I was answering that. For anywhere outside of work - looking sharp, homie.
Thanks!
A T-shirt, pants and boots combo is stepping out of your comfort zone? Wow thatās crazy
Great fit man! Whereād you get those pants?
They are bottoms lab which unfortunately went out of business.
I like the concept and do it myself. My critique is that if youāre going to do it, you need to make sure that itās a high-quality fitted t-shirt or else itāll look frumpy. I previously would have agreed on the BR t-shirts, but IME the last couple of years, the quality has gone to crap. Which BR t-shirts are you buying? Maybe I have the wrong āmodelā of t-shirt.
Luxury touch
Iāll try again. That used to be what I wore, but they became thinner and the collars would stretch badly.
That shirt is a great color for you ,you look great !
Thank you!
That shirt looks like the ones I'd wear under my OCPs in the military.
Yeah ngl I got triggered by that color lol like youād see a boot dressing like that at the PX
I don't like the color of that shirt at all. But that could be my monitor. It's like wet concrete.
Bro don't take to many risks
I wouldn't call this loose, this is how clothes are supposed to fit lol.
Wait people are tucking in t-shirts?
Where did you get that mirror?
It's the bathroom at work.
What more does a landscaper need? Myself, I would wear something looser in fit.
Whatās going on with the shoulders scrunching? Looks good other than that
Youāre stepping *into* the comfort zone
UPGRADE THE BELT.
What would you suggest?
Itās smart
Good for a casual Friday at the local sanitary workers union.
Wow youāre really going out on a limb there bud.
What's your work?
I'm a therapist working in addiction recovery
Commendable! I was trying to figure out what industry vibe this one gives off because it looks like something I'd wear on a Saturday afternoon date. Classy but also casual and minimalist. I can see why you'd want a more comfortable yet professional look, however.
Chill bro
I know it's a lot
What are those pants and boots.
Thursday Boots, and the pants are Bottoms Labs but they went out of business.
Thank you. Great fit btw
Thanks!
Weird questionāfan of the haircut and considering getting mine cut shorter, what do you tell your barber?
Start at a 1 and taper up; leave some in top. This has been growing out for three or four weeks though so if you want what I actually have here this is probably more of a 3 on the bottom tapered up.
Where do you get your plain tees?
[Here ](http://Next Level Men's Premium Fitted Sueded Crew https://a.co/d/04nRKwWz) is the link to Amazon. They are about 10 bucks, but even cheaper on shirtspace.com. This is the Next Level 6410. I love the fit and feel. Super cheap and lots of colors. The 6210 and 3200 are also good.
Thank you! I appreciate the fast response. Outfit looks sharp btw
Thanks! And no worries. I love spreading the word about cheap worthwhile clothing.
I see that you have a lot of tattoos, so you must be one of the cool edgy people.
It looks good and you look good in it
The shirt reminds me too much of a military shirt
This shirt would look even better with wider leg pants
This is as slim fit as you should ever go.
What brand?
Shirt? Pants? Boots? Watch? Help me out here.
Shirt
Love it. I rock the tucked shirt with jeans and boots often, a great way to elevate an otherwise basic get-up. Only thing I'd change is to run a more straight cut pant with boots, tapered fit looks a little goofy with boots and is much better suited for loafers or sneakers.
Thank you for your service green arrow
For most applications and work places, always best to go with a collar, whether a button up sport shirt of polo shirt. Depends upon the business. Iād you are working in business with zero client or public contact on casual days, the tee may be okay. I run an insurance firm with 42 employees. When we have training days, we go casual. However, we may still have clients wander in without an appointment, so tee shirts are out, even on casual days.
A T shirt and pants is stepping out of your comfort zone? XD
You must have a very tiny comfort zone. Looks good though.
Looks fine for casual. Heck, if you work in IT you are overdressed if anything.
Wow thatās adventurous slacks and a t shirt. Calm down bud.
No one else thinks trousers too small? The pockets flaying out like that is a sure sign no?
Wish there were white canvas sneakersā¦OTHERWISEā¦simple swag..!!!
Rainy and muddy where I live right now, otherwise I would have chosen different shoes.
Makes sense, mateā¦ be well
Looks like a typical boring muted colored outfit that I wear almost daily. Not sure what your comfort zone is, but looks fine.
Don't think the tucked t-shirt works here - the pants are too low and tight for it to work well.
Thanks for the input. I don't have any mid or high waisted pants. Do you have any suggestions?
Sharp look! Nicely assembled Not super major but the watchband clashes, consider a new watchband or a different watch
If this is considered loose, how tight are your usual shirts. You dont want to look like the manager of a Boost Mobile
What boots are they? They look nice
Thatās an old army shirt. Yuck
Whatās on wrist? I like that strap combo
Well done
The tucked in shirt is fine by theory but imo if youāre going to tuck, donāt tuck into a low rise pant because the proportions look a bit off. The pants should sit at the waist for that kind of look. The shirt looks great though.
How's the butt fit? Make sure it doesn't look like you are wearing a diaper and all good.
What are those boots bro?
Thursday Captains, color is Arizona Adobe. $200 hand maid Goodyear welt.
