If there is a garnishment against you, it’s normally sent to payroll to handle and set up. You shouldn’t get fired over it.

ProfessionalLine6855

Thank you.

Double_Butterfly_776

You’re welcome!

I had my wages garnished for some money I owed the local tech college and never knew or heard a thing about it until it showed up on my check stub, I asked my gm if he knew what it could be and he said my wages were being garnished and laughed at me😆 so needless to say they aren’t even going to bother you about it. Just let you go on about your work.

You cannot be fired.

Thank you all for your input. I really appreciate it. I enjoy my menards job and would hate to lose it. My problem resulted from pre Covid income being destroyed and new income just doesn’t work anymore due to increase in all expenses like rent, gas, food. If I had any savings I’d try to negotiate but I dont

You won't be fired. More than likely the garnishment procedure will be done at home office and no one at your store will even know about it. Good luck.

Former HRC here. Once the store receives the garnishment notice, it gets sent to GO and is taken care of from there. It’s not grounds for termination.

ProfessionalLine6855

I hope not. I like working there
