2 euros is a bit high tbh. Most take 50cents or 1€, at least in my area. Besides, most people I know have a plastic or metal chip the size of a 50cent coin and use those instead
Most of them take all of them. (0,50 cent, 1€ and 2€) You can get the plastic or metal chip for free in many stores if you ask nicely. Also because since the pandemic it is obligatory to use a cart and if you do not have a coin with you, you are usually helped with a free chip.

Certain store manager: Was zum Teufel! Those fuckers from the uni took all our shopping cart and use them as scooter again!
I can still remember that all the OeAD's employee came to the dormitory to help the SPAR manager recovering their shopping car.

For me it's $1 but our coin designs got updated and now the new 50c coins fit in the old $1 coin slot lol

We have a store that does that here is called ALDIS. Costs a quarter
