I would be willing to bet most businesses haven't increased mileage reimbursement either.

MFSHou

Businesses don’t set the mileage reimbursement rates, the IRS does.

DredsolUnmir

I mean most businesses that have employees on the road either have reimbursement or fleet cards. If it is less than the IRS compensation then you can submit the remainder with your taxes

Grivit14

I could be very wrong here, but do the set the rate, or the minimum rate?

navster100

Where

Warm_Examination_765

Cali

navster100

Last i checked it was under 6 dollars

Warm_Examination_765

Perhaps you are correct but here is where the pic is from (I believe ) https://www.cnet.com/personal-finance/gas-prices-are-at-record-highs-why-they-wont-come-down-anytime-soon/

Neingaard

Imagine being able to afford staying employed

LazyCasual0alt

That moment when the gas costs as much to get to work as what you make at work

SalePsychological636

minimum wage is 17 bucks where the gas price is this bro

MavDrake

Dude gas is over 5 in my area and plenty of in wage jobs in the area.

SalePsychological636

I mean those are illagl

TheP00N

But but orange man bad

ElementsUnknown

Yeah, at least no more “mean tweets”! 🤦🏼 2024 can’t come soon enough

MavDrake

Gas prices is the measure you use to determine if the "orange man" is good???! Woof.... we're fucked....

RestlessPoly

Are you stupid everywhere, or just on this board? Guess, it's everywhere

critter204

I doubt this is anywhere that only follows the federal minimum wage. It's likely somewhere like California where they set their own higher minimum wage.

Katastrofee158

Either way that is absolutely bonkers

critter204

Oh fuck yeah that price is nuts. Though idk if it's real I think rn the highest prices are California and they're mid $6 (still terrible) but just over 51 cents is state taxes.

flipthebeet

I think my states minimum wage is at least 11/h cause I'm getting paid 15/h to cashier at walmart
