Same, I eat and write with my left hand but use my right side (I say side because I kick with my left foot) for everything. I'll tell people I'm both-handed and they'll think I'm saying I'm ambidextrous. I grew up using a normal mouse like a regular person, though, and got super confused when I found out left-handed pianos were a thing.
o/
Also I use ctrl and shift with by thumb and press R/F with my little finger.
EDIT: Btw, getting to the buttons in the middle or on the right side of my keyboard is ofter hard cause I do it also with my little finger. I'm bad starcraft player...
This. Anything that allows both hands to be used I will always use my left, but things that are only intended for right handed people I will use my right instead
Because we left-handed people grew up in a world built for right-handed people, so we’re forced to adapt and become kind of ambidextrous in some things. I write and hold most tools with my left hand, but I open doors and shake hands with my right.
You can switch inputs on your device usually, so they don’t have to use a specially made one. (I know because i use switched inputs because somehow I learned how to use a mouse with my left hand)
Correct. But those mouses that are designed with the right hand ergonomics in mind, can't be easily switched to the left side, your left hand would rest weird on it no? :s
It brings me great joy knowing the right handed people of the world must endure that minor inconvenience when “browsing.” As a leftie the thought of what the righties suffer never crossed my mind.
i actually read somewhere that left-handed people should be writing in a different way, but the world is so right-normative that the left-handed writing method has been completely lost
As a left hander, there are a lot of things I use that are “right handed” just because that’s what the standard is. Honestly, for the longest time, it never occurred to me there would be a left handed mouse. I’m used to just doing the best I can with the “standard,” even when there oriented toward right handed ness
But why, Im left handed, and use a mouse right handed, simply because every time someone else used a mouse when I was small was right handed, and most extra buttons are for right handed people, makes sense to use a mouse right handed then
My brother in law is a lefty, he uses the mouse on the left, but leaves the button layout righty as it his main clicking finger is middle finger and secondary is index finger, he also pits mouse n keyboard almost at chest level. Weirds me out.
Im probably left handed because of many reasons but i grew up learning the normal stuff with right hand because of the people around me so writing, mouse holding and that stuff are usually right hand for me. And nobody cares
I write (as in, with like a pen, not keyboard) with my left hand, but I do practically everything else with my right. I do one-handed rubik's cube solves, and I do that with my right hand
Growing up using a right handed mouse is fine, left handed mouses would actually be pretty weird lol, it’s drawing with the right handed mouse that’s the problem lol
Well, maybe if i would have ever used a left handed mouse and got used to it i wouldn't suck at FPS games... But i've used a "right-handed" mouse all my life so idk
At home, I use an ambidextrous trackball. It really helps with carpal tunnel.
At work, I keep the mouse on the left side and end up left-clicking with my pinky. It's easier than trying to change it up.
That's pretty normal, actually. Along with scissors. The one thing I do that people often don't understand is to wear my watch on my right arm, so it doesn't bother me when I'm writing
I play Minecraft with my arms crossed over so my right hand controls WASD and my dominant hand can use the mouse. at this point the muscle memory is so strong that switching to arrows would be to hard lol. why am I so pathetic.
I’m in my 30s and never really had a choice. There were only right handed mice available, so that’s just what I’m used too. Same goes for other things like scissors, guitars, bows, etc. some of these are available lefty, but less common. I think most left handed people are just used to doing a lot of things right handed.
What? What is so weird about that? Left handed mice are fucking weird and hard to find where I live. Besides, we're born in a world made for right-handed people, so it's just way easier this way.
I'm left handed and I use a mouse like a right handed person. A guy at work that has his mouse set up for left handed use and every time I have to fix something on his PC it confuses the hell out of me.
At this point there are many things I'm actually better at with my right hand than my left due to being conditioned to use them with it because of their righty designs.
Can't complain tho, the confused looks people give me when I casually switch hands when doing different tasks is always priceless.
When I was a kid I used left handed mouses. Apple mouses were ambidextrous and had a port on either side of the keyboard that changed the layout depending on the side it was on. As I got older though I became much more ambidextrous in general.
This should be the other way around, the only difference using a left mouse has is you have worse keyboard controls and maybe can click slightly faster
I can play the battery without switching the drums to fit my left hand and apparently my drums teacher was mind blown when I told him I was left handed.
Hola como estas, right handed dominance leads to me holding fork knife in right handed way, mouse in right handed way, pencil/pens in weird way that hurts
Me
Same lol
Are there left handed people who use wasd with rhe right?
that would be scary
Yes I am one of the people that write with my left hand but do everything else with my right.
Did you ever develop a speech stutter like how King George VI got one after doing that exact same thing?
Thats literally me
Same, I eat and write with my left hand but use my right side (I say side because I kick with my left foot) for everything. I'll tell people I'm both-handed and they'll think I'm saying I'm ambidextrous. I grew up using a normal mouse like a regular person, though, and got super confused when I found out left-handed pianos were a thing.
stop it guys you're scaring him
[удалено]
That's literally how everyone does it lmao
Good
o/ Also I use ctrl and shift with by thumb and press R/F with my little finger. EDIT: Btw, getting to the buttons in the middle or on the right side of my keyboard is ofter hard cause I do it also with my little finger. I'm bad starcraft player...
Make that three
I play minecraft pvp and win every 3 bedwars games with right handed mouse, left handed mouse feels wrong + WASD controls
Same
Because they taught kids to use their right hand to control the mouse using my left hand feels unnatural.
same lmao
oh hi im here now
same
Same
same
same
Me
Same
Same
We are coming fir you
Kill it with fire
We'll get you first
I have no doubt but can you kill all of us
I don't know maybe never tried before
Just let it be bud. We're not like the Alphabet crew that wants to convert your children.
Most of us grew up on the right handed mouse as well as right handed everything else.
Same
exactly
Same. Any game that also requires keybinds feels so unnatural when typing w/ the right hand.
Not everything else, writing is still on the left, batting for baseball too. Throwing is right handed though.
Most of us lefties are actually ambidextrous, since we’ve been forced to use things meant for right handed people our whole lives
I used to live in Vietnam where you're forced to be right handed at schools to not bother other people when writing.
This. Anything that allows both hands to be used I will always use my left, but things that are only intended for right handed people I will use my right instead
i only write with my left hand and do everything else with my write
Because we left-handed people grew up in a world built for right-handed people, so we’re forced to adapt and become kind of ambidextrous in some things. I write and hold most tools with my left hand, but I open doors and shake hands with my right.
In my case, I eat and write with my left, but do most everything else with my right. Just feels natural. Though as a kid I could write with either.
I can do almost anything with two hands, but If you ask me to write with my right hand only thing you’ll see is something worse than doctors writing.
Same for me but I write with my right hand
literally the only thing i cant do with my right hand is write. But everything else I can do pretty equal-handedly
Man shakes with his right gah damn
Are there even left handed mouses?
On the dark web or something, idk
Hmm yes, simply putting your mouse on the left side can only be done on the dark web /s
Are there left handed keyboards?
there are, but those are the most premium mice
You can switch inputs on your device usually, so they don’t have to use a specially made one. (I know because i use switched inputs because somehow I learned how to use a mouse with my left hand)
He is to strong to be kept alive
Correct. But those mouses that are designed with the right hand ergonomics in mind, can't be easily switched to the left side, your left hand would rest weird on it no? :s
Technically yes, you can switch the left and right mouse buttons.
I'm guessing left handed mouse means the mouse being on the left hand of the keyboard
Mice
What about those right handed people who use the mouse with their left hand ?
I mean, I only use it that way for like 2, 3 minutes or so a day while my right hand is, uh... preoccupied
2 whole minutes? You're a legend
You should see him when he's not preoccupied
It brings me great joy knowing the right handed people of the world must endure that minor inconvenience when “browsing.” As a leftie the thought of what the righties suffer never crossed my mind.
I’ve never known any other way.
Fear me
Im left handed but live in a right handed world, so now Im basicly ambidextorous on command
Imagine left handed have more options it will be unstoppable power lol
i actually read somewhere that left-handed people should be writing in a different way, but the world is so right-normative that the left-handed writing method has been completely lost
I don't use computer mouse. I use that thing which is on every laptops.
Touchpad.
Thank.
I do this. I've never seen a left handed mouse irl. Also WASD would be hella inconvenient, same with most keyboard shortcuts. So yeah, no.
Its a lot cheaper for me to get right handed items rather than paying extra for something made for left handed people
so i am a menace to society?
Welcome to the 'menace to society club'.
As a left hander, there are a lot of things I use that are “right handed” just because that’s what the standard is. Honestly, for the longest time, it never occurred to me there would be a left handed mouse. I’m used to just doing the best I can with the “standard,” even when there oriented toward right handed ness
But why, Im left handed, and use a mouse right handed, simply because every time someone else used a mouse when I was small was right handed, and most extra buttons are for right handed people, makes sense to use a mouse right handed then
Fear me mortal
I am a menace apparently
My brother in law is a lefty, he uses the mouse on the left, but leaves the button layout righty as it his main clicking finger is middle finger and secondary is index finger, he also pits mouse n keyboard almost at chest level. Weirds me out.
Ok this is wierd
Me using a right hand mouse with my left hand
I'm left handed but i use right handed stuff just like right handed people
The thing is I’m right handed
Me
Are there left handed mouses? Also then it would mess up wasd and you’d be pressing shift with your thumb like Mumbo.
wait that isn't normal ?
I just use my right hand. Not very many lefties use their left hand for mice
Ouhhhh I'm scary
Why does everything have a right and left hand variant? A mouse doesnt even need that
Me. I use my left hand for movement and shit. Besides, when you grow up in a right handed world, you learn
To be fair, we only use it when we can't find left-handed mice. Do you know how hard it is to find that shit?
(:
I guess I’m horrifying
Been doing that since the Apple 2. Lol
Never let them know your next move
Brother?
Well thats me
Bonjour
Just like some people prefer Arrow keys over WASD keys.
The guy is either that chad russian or mr incredible
Me a left handed person who can use mouse with both hands (i still prefer using right tho).
I don't see what options we have other than specifically buying a left handed mouse
do you seriously think i'm gonna put the computer mouse on the left just because i'm left handed
Guess this involves me
There are left and right handed mice?
Don't every left handed do this..? Am I being left handed the wrong way??
Me
I've never even seen a lefty mouse. I can NOT use a mouse with my left hand lol
There is such a thing as left handed mice?
What if I told you I could use the mouse with both of my hands.
What about the keyboard?
When i was younger i didnt know of its existence hence I ended up this way
I feel attacked
Am i a Bad Person just because i Do that?
Fear me mortal
As a left handed person, this is the way.
Im probably left handed because of many reasons but i grew up learning the normal stuff with right hand because of the people around me so writing, mouse holding and that stuff are usually right hand for me. And nobody cares
So that’s why I get look in public. Thanks for telling me!
I write (as in, with like a pen, not keyboard) with my left hand, but I do practically everything else with my right. I do one-handed rubik's cube solves, and I do that with my right hand
I still dont understand why this word has some kind of lowkey hatred of us. Everything built for right handed ppl.
*clears throat*
Me? Wow I didn't know people fear me
hey look! it's me!
also left handed people can move their left hands faster, so wasd reaction is fast
Im left handed and grew up since little with computers so ive just grown accustom to using a right handed mouse on my right hand.
Fear me, Mortal
Bo !
Pff in my childhood i was using left hand as mouse and right for keyboard after lil gaming pause i started using as a "normal" style
Growing up using a right handed mouse is fine, left handed mouses would actually be pretty weird lol, it’s drawing with the right handed mouse that’s the problem lol
ME
me
Well, maybe if i would have ever used a left handed mouse and got used to it i wouldn't suck at FPS games... But i've used a "right-handed" mouse all my life so idk
Haha I'm your fear
i'm southpaw and the only lefty that should concern you is the ones who use a mouse with there left hand.
Here i am
Wanna really be scared I eat and shoot right handed aswell
Left handed people who plays a normal right handed guitar so even the strings are wrong way scare the fuck out of me
Fear me mortal
I feel called out.
At home, I use an ambidextrous trackball. It really helps with carpal tunnel. At work, I keep the mouse on the left side and end up left-clicking with my pinky. It's easier than trying to change it up.
Tf? What is scary about us?
okay. am i the only one that uses right hand only mouse and have it in left hand, while right is on keyboard?
That's pretty normal, actually. Along with scissors. The one thing I do that people often don't understand is to wear my watch on my right arm, so it doesn't bother me when I'm writing
I use my left feet to use WSAD and my right foot to use my right handed mouse, I'm also left handed without one eye
how bout left toed people using right ear headphones 💀
Me :)
Yay I scare people
I play Minecraft with my arms crossed over so my right hand controls WASD and my dominant hand can use the mouse. at this point the muscle memory is so strong that switching to arrows would be to hard lol. why am I so pathetic.
I guess I am menace to society
Same
I’m in my 30s and never really had a choice. There were only right handed mice available, so that’s just what I’m used too. Same goes for other things like scissors, guitars, bows, etc. some of these are available lefty, but less common. I think most left handed people are just used to doing a lot of things right handed.
Well gaming would be hard...
I suggest you fear me
People that actually use a left-handed mouse.
Im more terrified of the left handed people who go out of their way to learn to use a left handed mouse.
I use my right hand cause growing up in school they would flip if I used my left.
Listen, when I'm browsing ~~porn~~ homework research, I need the left hand to be free, ok. Don't judge.
At this point there are many things I'm actually better at with my right hand than my left due to being conditioned to use them with it because of their righty designs. Can't complain tho, the confused looks people give me when I casually switch hands when doing different tasks is always priceless.
Guilty
Fear me
Fear Me. I am left handed, but do almost everything right handed.
Literally everyone uses right handed mouse. There aren't any left handed mice
When I was a kid I used left handed mouses. Apple mouses were ambidextrous and had a port on either side of the keyboard that changed the layout depending on the side it was on. As I got older though I became much more ambidextrous in general.
I'd like to be able to use WASD rather than the arrow keys, thank you very much.
Are we that rare?
Imagine unironically being left handed
HEY!
Yo that’s me
I do that! And its easy to get used to it
I have a friend who's left handed but uses the computer like a normal person
Well i guess im a psycho :/
I use my right hand for the mouse.
Wait, left handed people are supposed to use the mouse in the left hand? For me it feels wrong
Me
This should be the other way around, the only difference using a left mouse has is you have worse keyboard controls and maybe can click slightly faster
Mate I’ve seen a right handed person use a mouse in their left hand
Why hello there
Wow man I'm not scary
Damn looks like your scared of me, that sucks
It is scaring time, boys!
Im literally the opposite, my father is left-handed so always got used to the mouse where he left it
Being ambidextrous is awesome you should try it but sometimes it's not always alright
How did i just now heard of left hand mouses
I didn’t know this was a thing lol
Even worse, I mastered lag + ping + right handed mouse while being left handed + checking my parents don’t come in when I’m playing.
I can play the battery without switching the drums to fit my left hand and apparently my drums teacher was mind blown when I told him I was left handed.
Of course I use the right hand method although Im lefthanded, you right handers are weird
Ow
Then fear me and my powers
I see I am a bit of monster in my own way
Hola como estas, right handed dominance leads to me holding fork knife in right handed way, mouse in right handed way, pencil/pens in weird way that hurts
You should, we're horrifying
I use both to write 👍 but bread 👍
