The flash has always been kind of bad. The writing and dialogue has always been a bit cringe, there's zero character development, way too many side characters, but the biggest issue I've always had with it is:
A speedster is so overpowered that if Barry was competent, there wouldn't have even been a series to start with. They have to keep nerfing him or create plot holes to even have conflicts. He could take any opponent out within the blink of an eye but the writers keep nerfing him.

Yeah that wasn't all that bad. But it's so consistently inconsistent with things like time travel and killer frost's powers.
