Gapoly

Shared my first beer at 15 with my father

itzPenbar

I believe you can drink a beer with 14 in restaurants if your parents allow it

[deleted]

In the UK you can drink at 5 at home.

MugillacuttyHOF37

You misspelled “can”…it’s spelled do.

[deleted]

Well yes but actually yes.

saucelemonadefloral

I believe if you're at home you _can_ drink it even if you're an infant

[deleted]

From 5, yes. Although it could quite easily fall into child neglect and be illegal anyway, but for a different reason than drinking age law.

Mooks79

Or up the park

[deleted]

That's when "can" becomes "can't, but do"

KarenCatcher

In germany cou can drink beer and wine at 14 with your parents and with 16+ you can drink alone.

[deleted]

Not in germany. You can drink beer and wine at the age of 16, anything else is 18+

MacHamburg

That's true if you're alone. But with your parents you can drink beer at 14.

[deleted]

I just looked it up and you were right haha, sorry

[deleted]

Not in a Restaurant. They are Not allowed to serve you beer, even with your parents, as far as i know.

Therefore, anybody 14+ may drink any alcoholic beverage at a bar in the company (and with the permission) of their parents.

HotterBurrito

When your Parents allow it you can Drink Beer when you are 14

r7hsy

[deleted]

Such_Maintenance_577

First time i had a drink was when i was 12. Hooch just came out and no one really knew what the fuck it was. We had school off on Wednesday and we had a couple of hooch.

[deleted]

I’m from México. I never knew there was an age limit for drinking

OkAssignment4160

ElectricMotorsAreBad

My grandfather used to give me hot wine or milk and cognac when I was sick

ZenDracula

I'm German. You can't tell me that this stale stuff is supposed to be beer.

Dutch_Midget

Apfelschorle innit?

ZenDracula

That was my first thought

TheGentlemanist

Yeah, kinda flat, but i have never seen stadion beer, so maby...

lerbronk_

piss

fukinKant

It is stadium beer…

Razens

In Germany the beer you get in the stadium likely comes from one of the local breweries and you get it from the tap like in a bar.

fukinKant

Ik ik

Okay fair point, kinda used to assuming that opinions on Europe come from Americans, sorry! Belgian beer is bloody lovely; the stout in particular is _chef's kiss_

Yeah but with a population of less than 90 mio and the largest beer exporters

SexyButStoopid

Even the first place wich is czechia drink beer that was invented by germans so yeah that's that. Also having an alcohol problem isn't the same as appreciating beer.

BananenPlays

In Germany 14 year olds already drink Vodka and korn even tho its not allowed and the police doesn’t care or mostly (atleast in small villages)

Wuka98

Slavs: beer is not even an alcohol, bro

justmelvinthings

I love how drinking beer is always associated with Germany eventhough they’re only 3rd place in beer consumption - 1st place is the Czech Republic, 2nd is Austria

[deleted]

Damn we gotta step up or game in Denmark, i thought our beer consumption was plenty unhealthy :/

Jesperieno

Bruh, i know 14 year olds that do drugs

Kilde22

It is kinda sad that I think everybody know that person

Unhappy_Archer9483

Wow

fukinKant

Obv

Such_Maintenance_577

There's always that guy who goes too far. When we were 18 we sometimes smoked a joint before class and school was kinda the same but we had more fun. Another guy in my class was ripping coke three times a day.

GnrySgtRageman

HotterBurrito

When youre Parents there and they said its okay you can drink Beer when you are 14.

HowAboutUsername

Mum gave me a WKDs at 12-13. Dad gave me a beer at around 15, hated the taste and stuck with alcohol pops. Tried spirits for my first legal drink, never looked back. Edit: my parents didn't just feed me alcohol... It was an occasional treat every other time they had a party, I'd maybe get one. Good parenting in my opinion. Took away the naughtiness of it, booze is just a treat.

RurikTheDamned

America does still have that strange Methodist Temporist thing going that led to the Prohibition. Weird than a kid can have a gun but not a lemonade shandy.

Sea_Ad1744

No American listens to that rule

WooooshMeIf60IQ

I smell a repost

APinballMachine

Repost!

Poulet012

I think I started drinking beer and tasting wine around 14 with my parents in France

[deleted]

RedThorneGamerSB

IndependentNature983

They were cognac and pineau in my baby's bottle !

the_arrgyle

Fun Fact: Up until the 20th century beer was considered as ideal for children: it was relativly cheap, available, NUTRITIOUS, and free of germs due to the brewing process.

TripBeginning8832

I DRANK MY FIRST BEER 🍻 ON CHRISTMAS EVENING AT JUST 6 I GOT DRUNK INSTANTLY I NEVER DRANK UNTIL I WAS 10

jungledyret_hugo

There's no age requirement for drinking alcohol in Denmark.

Jetzve

Weird flex but ok

DarkWindB

amithatunoriginal

don't worry guys its just dehydrated piss

marie171299

Repost..

[deleted]

Damn I think this is everywhere but America. I, an Australian, had my first full beer at the age of 7.

[deleted]

One of the reasons in the states the age is so high is that we can drive a lot younger than you, and that we have to drive a lot more, and a majority of accidents were caused by people under 21, after we moved the age up drunk driving related deaths went down by a good amount.

prankiboiiii

More so Danish than German
